Johnson has a rare combination of size, hands, speed, strength, leaping ability, body control and hand-eye coordination; just like Megatron. His nickname "Megatron" was given to him by former Lions wide receiver Roy Williams and the name caught on with fans.

usually i dont care about Sports Athletes nicknames, and I'm not gonna say that Calvin johnson should stop being called "Megatron", but either they need to change the origin of how he got that nickname, or stop telling it because it makes him just sound really stupid Megatron Size- sure is a head or so taller than most Transformers Speed? -not really known for that Strength- Sure leaping ability? -Not really Body control & hand-eye coordination? I dont know if these aspects have ever been examined in Transformers. I guess if you took into account that some continuities reveal him to be a gladiator but still, I think thats grasping its straws
Wow, nice clearly cheap-knock-off Transformers knock-off shoe there, Nike. Couldn't even go for an acceptable attempt at a 'Con logo.
these megs from a few years back were pretty hot. sadly I wear sasquatch size 16 and they weren't made that big so I had to pass. much better then the new calvin ones though, imo, and a helluva lot nicer package deal for TF fans. http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/h...s-Megatron.jpghttp://i254.photobucket.com/albums/h...20crap/fc9.jpg
http://www.sneakerfiles.com/2012/11/...ase-date-info/ Bit more info, coming out on Black Friday, $190 pricetag, so about 10 times the cost of my last footwear. Yes I'm cheap like that, more money for TOYZ!

Unless Nike and Hasbro have an agreement........ That logo on the tongue of the Huaraches is pushing it, imo.
I was thinking the same thing. Isn't this just Nike putting out "third-party" Transformers apparel? Where's the anti-third party crowd? Shouldn't they be here calling for Hasbro to sue Nike for stepping on their IP? That faction symbol is clearly derived from the TF brand, they're using the name Megatron, and they're fully acknowledging what they're doing. They even say they're mimicking the G1 packaging's grid design. Don't get me wrong, I'm fine with this. Heck I would love to get one of those hoodies. Unless of course there is some deal between the two companies, but if that were the case I would think we would be seeing more Hasbro branding. Then again the official TF facebook page is sharing a link to the Nike press release.
