Hyper Hobby October Scans Hyper-October-Cliffjumper-Head
ModXToy have put up scans of the newest Hyper Hobby Magazine. The October dated issue has some cool new images of Alternity Bumblebee, and a nice closeup on the Cliffjumper head. Alternity Diamond Black Megatron is also shown, for the first time as a finalized product rather than a photoshop mockup. Disney Label Mickey Mouse (Halloween Edition) and the Device Label USB Ravage and Tigatron are also shown, with the packaging for the Device Label series revealed. Masterpiece Convoy Black Edition, Encore Skids and the upcoming releases in Japan's Revenge of the Fallen lineup round out the Takara-Tomy coverage in this month's magazine.

ORIO:
Neat
$shockwave$:
I want that Ravage, USB type thing.
guard convoy:
first look at the device label packaging, neat
Autobot Burnout:
Alterentity BB looks cool, even though I have my sights set on Clifjumper (if he's deluxe sized, he'll make a good stand in for Classics Cliffy as he would be worlds different from my Classics BB).

That Ravage USB in Device label kicks ass, though. I'd love to bring that to school as a working USB, then when I've got 5 or so minutes of free time in class, I'd just whip him out to play with
Swoop:
USB Ravage looks the dog's bollocks!

Loses half a point for not having holes to mount the rockets, though.

And Alternity Bumblebee is hideous

Yeah, they look nice!!! I wounder what the computer screen shot is all about??? I wounder if it's programed to play some kind of animation when it's plugged in???
frilly toothpick:
these are all pretty cool looking, too bad most of them are out of my price range.
Bgrngod:
The device label boxes look like something computer hardware would ship in. I guess that's appropriate. I can't get over how kick-ass that version of Ravage is. And so soon after the one that came with Hound, which was super kick-ass itself.

Not exactly. Granted IMHO proto-type pics are usually dull and does not do justice to any toy. There ARE fully colored pics of both him and Alternity Cliffjumper ya know. And the Red Cliffjumper is kinda badass. So yeah, to each his own.
SydneyY:
Arrrrgh should I get Halloween Mickey or not. Gotta make up my mind before the preorder closes. I'm not that keen on the colour scheme, but don't want to kick myself later on for passing it up.
Powersa:
Nice pics. Tempting

Nice pics. Tempting
Feralstorm:
Does that little image of the computer desktop with Ravage on it mean anything?
Chosen:
Maybe Ravage is pre-programmed with a desktop theme or at least wallpaper (Tigatron too, if that's the case). I'm sure it's nothing too significant.

sanchomaul:
ehobby's black convoy is bad as hell! PRE-ORDERED! SCrew my kids diapers!
Scythe:
Haha, look at Sam with BB lookin' all Fonz, Aaaaaaaaaayeeeeeeeee.
Automorpher:
I actually find myself liking Alternity BB & Cliffjumper more & more. DIFFERENT heads
Fort Max:
You know there's a news drought when we're talking about packaging.
blackout501st:
i want that usb ravage and i want that Halloween micky mouse. both are a must have in my book.
decepticon222er:
cant wait for a final alternity bumblebee photo review....pretty interested
faithingruden:
That one small pic of HA BB looks like hes some kind od crab or insect or something.
I wonder if that intentional or just an in-between pic of him TFing.
ORIO:
I still don't get the missed oppurtunity of making one of those USBs into Steeljaw. It would've complimented Blaster so well
Hicks_Royel:
If I had to guess... I'd go with preloaded screen saver.

According to the article, the USBs come with a software that you can install a desktop pet like stuff. It doesn't say it'll do any trick though, only states that "the character moves on the screen".

Agreed. I guess we've reverted from having a kicka$$ sports car Bumblebee (ROTF) back to the mildly insulting (even in 1984) let's-make-him-lame-so-kids-can-relate-to-him economy car. Maybe they can package him with Wheelie, T-bob, Bat-mite, and Jarjar Binks.

I LIKE LAME CAR(S).

I think Jar-Jar was the only non-awesome one on your list. (Though I think i'm kind of partial to Wheelie at the moment because I just got the Henkei legends version).

And what's wrong with Bumblebee going back to his roots? I agree that the test shots of him look... odd... but I don't think it's the fault of the alt mode.
Incepticon:
Good grief... movie, movie, movie, movie, movie, shitty repaint, movie, movie, movie, movie, useless reissue, movie, movie, movie, etc. Definitely not a good time to be a NON-movie fan. And despite my very high hopes for Alternity BB/BB, no amount of tricky angled photographs in the world can make that mold look good.

So I guess beyond MP Thundercracker, a couple of Henkei/Universe & Encore figures that I missed, and the last wave of Animated in December, my collecting days are coming to a full stop for a while. Not sure yet if that sucks or is actually a blessing in disguise, haha.
