Gizmodo has updated with their second “Inside Hasbro” article, looking now at the process of creating a Transformer, from the prototyping stage all the way through painted samples and the final fine tuning before sending it off for mass production. It’s a great and insightful article complete with video which shows off at around the 1:22 mark Metroplex, the new supergiant Titan Class release coming to the Generations line.
Check out the video and the article on Gizmodo for a look at how the magic happens!

Which means he's a no-buy from me, ah well.

Now i know..
The MP AcidStorm pics we saw had "SSGT. ETIPSONE" written below the cockpit. I knew that Etipsone was the dA account that created the corporate graffitti for Hasbro HQ and Mark Maher was his real name (http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/trans…asbro-mp-soundwave-images-18.html#post9077514) BUT i did not know he is the model painter for Transformers until this video. You can't get a closer connection to Hasbro then holding a fulltime job with them!

It might be that Metroplex may have chrome thigh for it's TakTomy counterpart,we shall see.

These 2 vids that where put up on the front page where really good. So I hope they keep them coming cause I find it very interesting in how a figure is created and made into plastic.
Orion72
Interesting! Cool vid.
Stepper
For his size,Metroplex is really quite articulated.
Blairimus2563
My jaw dropped at the size between MP Soundwave and Metroplex,I wonder maybe a third video will be about distribution and packaging of the toys…
Is that G1 Skids possibly a hint at a Generations Skids! Jks
Digilaut
Really hope retail Metroplex doesn't have chrome thighs. Looks horrible and out of place, just like it did on most Takara Henkei toys.
But who am I kidding – I'm going to pick this one up anyway.
deathsheadII
wow mp soundwave looks tiny near metroplex
Paarthurnax
"between us, we can make stuff."
Just not a proper G1 Arcee. We can never make that! Dumbasses!
soundwaverulls
Like others have said, you don't really realize just how massive Metroplex is until you see him next to something you have. Only in my case it was Wheeljack as I'm planning on getting MP13 in stores (and pray its still cheaper here than the Takara one). And even then, I only have BH Wheeljack.
I'm really looking forwards that titan.
Feralstorm
Considering nothing else on Metroplex is bright orange plastic, I muchly doubt that.
Anyway, the chrome is neat, a nice homage to the G1 toy, and I hope it sticks around for the final release.
Fort Max
Yes, they did say at the toyfair presentation that a lot of detail would be stickers, which had two major advantages over painted details namely that it's not only cheaper but you can have more of them which for a toy of this size is important.
Valkysas
The windows on the final version are stickers.
A lot of the detail on him is stickers.
General Tekno
Unless the windows on the final version are stickers.
I get the impression some of the detail on Metroplex will be stickers.
The Madness
This metro proto doesnt even have the command centre windows. i'm assuming it isn't final at this stage.
Inciteful
Ok so now Metroplex will come with two guns? If so, I want this even more.
GAUGE
Nope. they are the same, they just look different because the photo is blurry.
the jaw part is totally the same it's just chromed.
axiom
Is it me or do the heads look totally different? The lower jaw and the red gun things on the sides of its head are different.
