Ravage Transformer USB Flash Drive

The anticipation for one of this summer's surefire hit on the silver screen is building up as the release date for Revenge of the Fallen edges closer and closer with each passing moment. Well, what better time than now to build upon the rabid Transformers fanbase by taking advantage of their wallets with the Ravage USB flash drive? In his disguised mode, he looks like a standard micro-casette that comes with an extendable USB connector for you to fill him up with 2GB worth of data - way too small to make a negative impact on military systems when downloading data there. Ravage can also transform into a cyber-panther of sorts when he needs to get out of a particularly sticky situation. You can pick him up for $42.99 a pop

pre-order at BBTS also

Features :
- Windows98/Me/2000/XP/Vista,Mac
- Interface : USB 1.1 & USB 2.0
- Speed USB 2.0 : 480mpbs
- Speed USB 1.1 : 12mpbs
- Memory : 2 gigabytes

EDIT: BBTS fixed a typo on the memory size.
AximusPrime:
Awesome, preordered.
Switchblade:
Very cool, but still ridiculously overpriced for a 2 gig flash drive.
tomboland:
uberwant
Robogeek28:
So awesome but Sooooo expensive!
Draven:
2 Gb? Yeesh.
ORIO:
Cool. If I get one of these it will be Tigatron though.

Yeah, can we get clarification on whether that's Gigabits or Gigabytes? 2Gb ends up at what - 256 MB?
frenzy_rumble:
I highly doubt it's Gigabits, Most likely a type on BBTS's text.
frenzy_rumble:
Actually seems BBTS already corrected the typo:

- Windows98/Me/2000/XP/Vista,Mac
- Interface : USB 1.1 & USB 2.0
- Speed USB 2.0 : 480mpbs
- Speed USB 1.1 : 12mpbs

It transforms too!
NGW:
Awesome as it is...almost $50 for that is a fucking ripoff.

Pass.

Shame, really kinda wanted it too.
Nachtsider:
Sort of want...
Blitz.:
just awesome apart from the price and spec maybe for 8 gig it would be worth it
MegaMoonMan:
I like how the USB connection can slide in, but who do they think they're fooling with this "standard microcasette" BS?
Omega Supreme-1:
If I get some disposable income, then i'd love to have this. However, I think i'll probably get Blaster first since he's seems more practical and greater playability for his price.

i think that was just an error on the part of the idiot that wrote it, trying to relate it to G1 Ravage too much
Slimaximus:
Easy pass for me i think Blaster is the only one out of the bunch I'll get
Razorwing:
Hmmm I want it.. but the price doesn't agree with me.
Atlas:
Damn 50 bucks! There really wanting a huge profit aren't they?
AMG:
Extremely cool Ravage. But I can't bring myself to spend $50 on him.
kenny86:
he looks amazing!
Bgrngod:
I think I'd be more impressed if these were SD to USB adaptors so they would A) Be cheaper and B) Allow owners to pick the capacity depending on the SD card they jam in it.
starscream1701:
He's beautiful and all but it is excessively priced. I have my G1 reissue Ravage and I'll get the RotF one, so this is now a miss.
bradforj:
Is anyone actually buying this based on its capacity? Sheesh.....

Yes, but this isn't exactly a $30 Transformer to make up the rest of the cost.
GenZhao:
2 gigs is kinda weak, but ill have to get them anyway
Megatronwp38:
Gesh and now it's sold out at BBTS. lol
Randomus Prime:
That's uber sexy. I remember several years back paying $70 for a USB 512MB, that was "big" back then. Now it's laughable. And it didn't even transform! But that being the case, I'm looking at Device Label Ravage more as Ravage - the cool freakin' toy, and the USB being an added plus.

Besides, I'm sure someone will make a step-by-step "how to upgrade Ravage's memory" tutorial... Radicons? Anyone? Come to me Decepti-kitty, yes, I will buy you.

uh....
Feralstorm:
Pricey perhaps, but at least it's 'Music Label Soundwave' pricey, and not 'Chrono Label 180 dollar watch' pricey.

TOTALLY! I spit out my lunch when I saw those Chrono watch prices!
benzo:
pre-ordered this bad boy today. a bit expensive but it looks so cool!
Seeker24:
i really want this!! but only 2GB??? kinda crappy.
Blackout:
I'll get this, but wish it was $20....
Prisoner1138:
I like how people keep bitching that it's only 2GB, without apparently understanding that it's not a mass retail production run that would make it a $20 figure. Really, it's funny.
Michael Dracon:
Given the way the USB slot goes into the head there isn't much room left for the actual memory chip. Making chips with more than 2 gigs that size would have made it WAY more expensive than it already is.
Rodimus:
I so want this...

It looks just like Ravage, makes a great Transformer, and it's practical! I can definately use that 2 GB of storage space! Come to think of it, my Dinobots project should be stored on there.

I give this an A+ Now to find a way to get the spare cash...
Johnator:
Ok that Ravage looks badass but it is expensive. Decisions decisions.

???

For a memory card/flash drive? 2 GB is good. The only cards I got is 800Mb and a 1GB. I haven't had any problems with either one being that small except for large projects can't be stored on them. I have not seen any cards over 1 GB. And considering that this is a toy and they have to put the chip somewhere, I'd say 2GB is very good. Besides if it was more, so would be the price.
Randomus Prime:
It's also an import, which means higher prices of course. Now if it were that price and released for stateside release, THEN I'd see more justifiable reasons to complain. As a collector of import goodies, it's not insanely overpriced, but most importantly, it's so dang AWESOME LOOKING!

IMO, the best Ravage since the original mini cassette.
_Galvatron_:
Very nice, but not $42 nice.
Emperor Zarak:
I soooo want the ravage, but I don't have money D:
omnitrix:
nice find, wish there would be more character
Razorwing:
wow not even 24hrs and it's sold out. lol. I'm sure after it will get more in stock.
cryotek:
So glad that I preordered my back on April 21.
clonemanager:
If CDW website offers this, I might fool my manager onto ordering a bunch of these at the next capital spending.

p.s. hey people!! 2GB of Flash drive shouldn't be over $8.99 these days... anywhere selling over that is just ripping you off.
Aaron:
Cool, not 2 Gigs of cool though.
Blackout:
Just a thought....

If they could make a Masterpiece Soundwave that could play audio from a Lazerbeak or this Ravage USB drive would be fap-tastic.
