In a photo gallery of the 2008 Toyko Toy Show at Gunota Headlines, some placecards were in place that showed future Marvel Transformers crossover repaints. Among the figures shown on placecards in one picture was Human Torch (Iron Man repaint), Grey Hulk (Hulk repaint), and Black Spiderman (Spiderman repainta). The picture can be seen by clicking on the image to the left. The placecards are behind the Iron Man and Hulk figures.

Yeah, didn't actually get to that point, but it took me a few seconds.

SWTF were awful, these just add insult to injury. I only hope it's not indicative of the future...I can see the GI Joe crossovers coming.

To each his own, if you're into these then more power to you and good luck. I just chuckle every time I see them.
Now a GI Joe crossover would be dope, especially seeing as there is already a history/continuity to justify it with Marvel, Dreamwave and IDW. They could scale them to change into actual vehicles for the 25th Joes...

ahh to dream but Hasbro would never do anything that awesome :/

but in general I agree with the original statement, these crossovers just don't make much sence and they're kinda shitty from a TF point of view.

It's a triple threat!!

On a side note... I wish they would do some GI Joe crossovers. I know Hasbro doesn't seem to think GI Joe "needs" a Transformers crossover line (for whatever reason), but the fact that it would probably sell better than either the Star Wars or Marvel (if done right) seems to be lost on them every year it's asked about.

I demand this. Even though it'd look pretty much the same

So what, the torch is a repaint/retool of Ironman? What about War Machine? I was going to wait for him, now I might not bother with the figure at all. Black Spidey will be cool, if his colors are as good as Venom's in robot mode.

In America: maybe. In the rest of the world: guaranteed shelfwarmers.
