Next up is this bizarre series of images, posted on Facebook by iGear. All that they have to say on the matter is interesting, but these five pictures speak volumes. What you are seeing is a custom third party unofficial version of Bumblebee, using design cues from his Classics and unreleased Alternators incarnation, with a vehicle mode based on the Volkswagon New Beetle. According to the first image, this will measure up at around 12 cm – or between 5 and 6 inches – tall, so about the height of your typical Deluxe Transformer.
Release details are unknown, but it is likely another partner product such as the custom Firestar we reported on earlier today.
Remember though this is an unofficial product made for adult collectors and not officially licensed by Hasbro or Takara-Tomy.

From the fb page arrives this important info: "the Bee 01/02 will be released before April 20"

Not any worse than the Classics Legends version?

And a new head for TFCC P/CP. That's should be right up their alley.

iGear really needs to focus and put out that Decepticon Base to go with the Arc diarama set.

Well, I can speak for myself being a "GEE-WUN" fan. I think it's the size of BB/CJ and the fact that they are VW molds that is interesting as a collector. Plus iGear's stuff is interesting, some of it is hit/miss…hopefully this is a hit. My broken Faith Leader says hello.

Yup, I'm paying the $11 difference in price to have this in my G1 Legends collection instead of the RTS gold Suzuki looking version. $11 is nothing.

I wonder, would people really want to pay premium for a 3rd party legends-class toy?
NICKBOT
I like the idea of them, I think the paint apps will be a make it or break it for me.

I dont get the love for this, the bot mode is lame

Altmodw is kinda nice but botmode is weak as hell.

The only real difference in articulation between this and the G1 original, is the legs swing forward and back at the hip. Otherwise the arms have roughly the same range, and they both have articulated ankles. The styling and sculpt are another thing altogether, of course.

Car mode = Yes
Bot mode = No

That does look pretty adorable, and as I recall, the Hasbro Legends BB is just about the same size as the original Minibot version. Roughly the same level of articulation too.

New pics of the legend size version proto

Said it before, saying it again. Long as they arent producing them here in the states, takbro wont be doing shit for shit about it.
Im excited about this, personally.

They posted a pic of this next to G1 prime and it does look in scale. So I think this is supposed to be more of a revamped G1 Bee than any kind of Classics Bee.
Easy pass for me either way.

Cute. It's just basically a re-shell of the Legends Bumblebee. A neat item, but not something I'd get really excited about. It would be one of those awesome cheap KO finds, but as a 3rd Party collector's item, I think we expect more. Now, if they bumped up the articulation and such… that might be worthy.
The paint does look funny, but it's probably just a painted prototype. If they actually make this, it'll be molded in colour.

I dont want to sound unappriciative. This fig is nice.
But it looks like a KO upsize of the legends BB from a few years ago…
I wont buy a TF with limited articulation.
Now a days even Basic scout class figs are loaded with ball jointed arms, legs feet and swivle waists…
Why would I go back to a brick? I for one am not that nostalgic…
Look at FP. Thats what we all want.
Thank you.

I find the paint finish strangely appealing, but I don't think the rest wins me over.
