Treat this with all the usual caution that comes from questions asked of customer service representatives, but we’re getting reports that the Transformers Kre-O line may not be continuing in the US.
Christian Flores of the ”For Kreon Out Loud!!” group on Facebook asked the question of Hasbro’s customer services, and got the following response:
Regrettably, our Spring line of Kre-O Transformers are not scheduled for release in the United States. They will only be available in Canada at this time. The two important things there are that this only extends to the Spring line of releases – so future ones may come out – and also, the qualification “at this time”, which does not rule out the possibility that plans may change.
However, for the moment, it looks like Kre-O is headed for a time out in the US. This writing has been on the wall for a while, with more recent releases being slow to appear in retail, if they’ve shown at all.

The frustrating part of all this is they show this stuff at Toyfair in the US. Though I'm looking forward to seeing what they have planned for SDCC.

Hasbro: teases SDCC 2015 Kre-o products; No plans for Kre-o Robots In Disguise products in U.S. – Transformers
Looks like US fans will have limited releases and no new waves for a while

Back before Christmas Toys-R-Us had a huge clearance of everything Kreo-O. Online they even cleared out to having nothing on the their website. So now it's nothing at the online store and only seeing a few movie sets still hanging around at a few stores.
When even Toys-R-Us isn't stocking the Kreo-O brand is pretty much done for until Hasbro can figure out a way to relaunch the brand. If they do relaunch at some point I hope they keep the mini-figure design, but the sets are going to need some work to catch up to the competition.

ToysRus (at least mine), is clearancing out all their Kre-O sets. Most are 50% off retail price, some are 75% off.
I got the Cityville set with the dragon for $8 (msrp $20).

This is sad news but at least I haven't gotten into the new show yet to tempt me into the Robots in Disguise stuff though I'll always want that plate-less Optimus helmet. Also glad about the new blind bags. Blessing in disguise they aren't the figures we needed or deserved. Imagine if they were more characters people actually wanted from shows and comics…
I hear you. When the base came out, I was disappointed that it was Prime-based and had exclusive Kreons but it gave me hope. I thought that'd be the start of more playsets. Then came the movie year…
Still, the Ark is something I wish Kre-O tackled especially after seeing The Enterprise and other large Star Trek ships. It meant they could've but corporate meddling or scheduling probably stopped them. What a shame.
It's why I picked up a lot of the CityVille stuff. A lot of the locations I can see the Transformers hanging out at. They were cheap and serve the same purpose even if they're not Cybertronian.

I never saw this wave either. I got all my Kreons blind bag figures at the local Walgreens. They stocked all the pre-AoE waves preview through collection 4 but they never got any of wave 2 in. It was a shame because I was hoping to find a Groove to go with a Kre-O combiner Defensor but since I never found one, I didn't bother ever picking up the other.

?? Never saw anyone on any site reporting seeing these in TRU in the United States, The only initial sellers on eBay were from Canada.

Retailers seemed to have given up on the line after the initial series.
It was quite maddening getting excited about the new Microchangers then being unable to find any in stores. My Target skipped the 'preview' wave, put the next wave in the Valentine's section at the opposite end of the store for some reason, then had a blank spot on the shelf with the next wave's name on it for two months. They didn't even bother with some of the more interesting larger sets like Wheeljack/Knock Out and the Beast Hunter VS packs…

I think it is a little broader than simply Hasbro cancelling the Kree-O Transformers theme. Over in the brick communities most have come to the conclusion that the entire Kree-O brand is toast and Hasbro is ending it to re-evaluate where they are going with construction toys. The problem is the Big Box Merchants, Walmart and most especially TRU don't want the Kree-O. Lego takes up several aisles at TRU. Heck Megabloks is thriving with CoD, Halo and Minions. But Kree-O is a clearance bin turd. Battleship, G I Joe, Dungeons and Dragons, Star Trek, Transformers all line sthey should have done well with. But crippled by the fact that the Kree-O development teams actual brick set designing skills seem limited to the mid 1980's. (serriously look at Kree-O's GI Joe stuff comparred to Magebloks CoD. The Kree-O looks like they just bootleged some Lego Fire Truck designs from the Reagan years.)
By all observations Transformers were likely the best selling and most popular line Kree-O ever had. Which is kind of sad given what those sets were.

Count me in as also in it for the minifigures…and playsets! Lemme explain. Now, I was also in it for the brick-built figures from the first year, but after that, my interests shifted to wanting playsets for my minifigures like the Autobot base. I want stuff like that. Bases and buildings, y'know playsets, for my minifigures to inhabit. I wish they made a nemesis playset and cybertron playset.

AoE series 2 microchangers were not Canadian exclusives. They were found in the US many times. Not by me, but still lol.

That's a shame, we found that some of the kits were actually more accurate than the toy.. G1 Grimlock for instance.
Oh well, have the one's I really wanted… but still a shame if it happens.

This is not new. AoE series 2 microchangers, AoE Series 3 Customs, and the first wave of Battle Changers were all Canadian Exclusives.
The sad fact was that Kreo went all in with TRU last Spring for AoE and over produced. I was mildly optimistic when before xmas the AoE line was discounted dirt cheap, and most store shelves were cleared, only to have them restocked, and the same old product is still there, collecting dust 5 months later.
What doesn't make sense is that the Hong Kong sellers have had the RiD Kreo product on eBay for a little over a month now, which I thought was a sure sign it would be hitting US TRU shelves soon. I guess it will only be Canadian TRU shelves.
Good Job Kreo/TRU -Put the product in a place that doesn't want It, and keep it away from the people that actually do!

Some Kreo fans of Gi Joe line inquired with Hasbro at Joe-Con 2015 and was told the line is still in the works along with TF. They even sold convention Gi Joe, so I don't think it's the end of the line. Can't wait to see what they offer at Botcon and SDCC. Hopefully we can get more G1 inspired characters or some beast wars ones.

Time to let Lego get the license

Quality of the bricks was terrible to. My Kreo sets would just fall apart. The Later Star Trek Kreo bricks seemed better but also had issues.
