Kre-O Kreon Ultimate Collection 5-Packs

Great news for Kreon fans! Site sponsor Robotkingdom has update their Facebook page revealing a new upcoming Kreon 5-pack. If you have always been a fan of the Kreon figures, but not the Kre-O building sets, these new five packs will have you covered. Both of these sets include the Kreons that were included with the first series of Kre-O building sets. Set A consists of; Optimus Prime, Sentinel Prime, Megatron, Soundave and Starscream. Set B consists of; Mirage, Jazz, Bumblebee, Red Alert and Skywarp. The packaging of these figures show art work for four of the figures with the fifth being a question mark. But as the image shows, both mystery figures are revealed. Both sets will be available for preorder tomorrow, March 22nd on Robotkingdom.com.

I was wondering when we would see more of these sets. I was hoping they would include the extra pieces like the Microchanger Kreons do, so you could "transform" them. I still might get the set that has Optimus and Megatron in it, but I'm less interested now. Sentinel being in the set doesn't help either. Not sure why they have Starscream and Skywarp pictured there. I thought the whole idea was that the fifth Kreon was a mystery. Skywarp does kind of make the otherwise all Autobot set tempting. He's my favorite Seeker, and the Autobots in-question aren't bad choices either.

Too bad they spoil the surprise figure, not that mystery Kreons stay that way for long. Skywarp's kinda out of place there, given the Autobot car theme that pack had going; was expecting/hoping Bluestreak or Sideswipe.

Hopefully they keep doing this for the newer Kreons that came in big sets (Wheeljack, Knock Out, Ripclaw, Capt. Fanzone), even if it means waiting a few more months.

The shadow in the first pack doesn't resemble Starscream though. It has horns. SS doesn't.

Cool, as much as I don't really care for the sets, it will be nice not to have to knock these out (if the pictures are indeed true). Was really hoping it wasn't some weird clear variant that I needed or something.

Sad they didn't re-release Sideswipe, he's a bit rarer than the others.
But I guess a set with Sideswipe, Prowl, Ratchet, Shockwave, Thundercracker, and some others might happen one day.

I really need a second chance at getting Knockout and Wheeljack without having to buy the set.

I am SO buying that first pack if I ever see it. I really wanted that Soundwave Kreon! I love Soundwave! And I also love Kreons!

Ah, I took another look at the picture in the original post. You can see white legs with a red waist which does support it being Starscream. A part of me wishes it were Shockwave despite my being a big Starscream fan.

Same here, I bought the sets specifically to get the Kreons. Once I saw how much the Kreon were on eBay, it was more worthwhile to spend the money on the full sets.

[SIGH] Guess I'll be buying these Kreon sets for display when I see them.

And I just bought a bunch of sets to get the Kreons....granted they were dirt cheap but still. While I appreciate this effort they've pretty much shot themselves in the foot in regards to Kreo set prices. Now I'll never buy another set for them and just wait for these kind of packs.

I'll second this. If they'd mentioned this earlier though, I'm sure the sales would have been even worse. I didn't buy any until they went on clearance. lol

BTW, am I the only one that thinks the shadow in set one looks a LOT more like Shockwave than Starscream?

No, I thought the same too. However, in the first picture you can see white legs with a red waist on the box picture and to my knowledge the only Kreons from the Kre-O sets with those are Ratchet and Starscream. Neither helmet shape really fits the sillouhette but I think Starscream fits the overall theme better.

Then again, a Seeker goes completely against the Autobot car theme in that second set.

Surprised they didn't include a new figure as the surprise, in order to entice those of us who bought the sets.

I don't mind. I got mine for really cheap, and now that they're doing GI Joe stuff, I'm glad to have the pieces. Gonna build me a Pit one of these days.

An Ark would be a good project too, but we need more orange...

I wish they announced these 4 months ago BEFORE I bought entire sets and went on ebay just to get old kreons.

At least it's good fodder for making new characters. I need an extra Bumblebee so I can make Sunstreaker.

Well, now I can get a Megatron Kreon without him having an energon sword for a hand, so that's nice.
Mildly peeved that I picked up a Sentinel set for the Soundwave Kreon and now it's being released like this, but considering I got it on clearance for $20, I'm not that angry over it.
