boy I'll say. the Kreo line in he last week has gone from something wholly uninteresting to me personally to full on "got my attention"

At any rate, looking forward to this. Kreons were the only good thing to come out of Hasbro's Lego knockoff line. Just wish they called them something else - the name Kreon to me, will always bring up memories of King Oedipus.

Well shit, looks like I'll be ordering a case of these.

Blind bagging isn't an issue unless there's something in there preventing you from feeling the contents.

I hope these come with weapons and accessories too. Like, Waspinator should have wasp wings and a stinger rocket.

Will be interested to see if this ends up as BW Waspinator or if it could possibly be a Green-Bumblebee repaint inspired by Animated.

entertainmentearth.com has a preorder up. No product image yet, but estimated release of august. Also, says it is 32 to a case. 94.99. That's about 3 bucks a figure. Not bad.

Can't believe that Waspinator is up there but I'm grinning so much right now.

Give me an entire cast of Beast Wars and some Grimlocks please, my wallet is not ready but that's too damn bad for it.

They're Kreons. The cute little miniguys that come with the Kreo sets. And they come with clip on accessory stuff that lets the sorta-tf into a rough vehicle mode (that's the Microchange part).


-ZacWilliam, we havn't seen the individual ones yet but they should be rather like the Combiner teams reavealed a day or two ago.

Exciting character choices definitely a few thoughts though:
1. I'm certain that an outside team is handling the Kre-O toyline (Outside from the usual mainline ala Titanium or Crossovers) as the kind of stuff we're getting like Auto Troopers, Predaking and now Waspinator! are the kind of thing Hasbro would never give us.

2. These are going to be a pain to get ahold of. I imagine the price will be higher then LEGO's own minifigure series or Megabloks which is of course unhelpful but the case ratios will likely be awful as well. 12 different characters and 32 to a case? Hopeful it will be 2 of each character but we all know what Hasbro is like...

3. I do hope this picks up, this might be a chance to get new figures of characters that haven't had the treatment in ages while the mainlines keep plodding on with their Optimuses and Bumblebees. Personally I'd like a Rattrap to pit against Wasp.

We already know the prices. They're srp $2.99 that's actually cheeper than lego figures at a lot of places.

I was thinking more the UK Price as that's where I'm based. It seems like the LEGO guys get a mark up over there, must be rough.

They're probably mostly repaints of existing figures with extra parts to transform. So there's a chance Waspinator will be based on Animated Wasp, Spinister out of Vortex, and Sunstorm from the other Seekers.

Either way they'll be picked up on sight.

This is cool news. If the listed ones are G1 and BW-esque, then it's AWESOME news. If these are movie-verse interpretations, then BAH!!!

very cool surprise. I'm pretty happy now, I was kinda turned off of the wave 2 build sets but these will more then make up for them.

I can already see threads on the b/s/t with people wanting to trade their kreons for ones they don't have.

Unfortunate news about the blind packed figures, tough. I remember a while back (on the subject of hypothetical blind packed Kreon figures, funny enough) that I mentioned Hasbro could perhaps put a code or something on each bag that is unique for each character. Is there any chance at all of that happening? I never did like blind packed stuff, it makes it a pain to collect all of a set...

I have never had any interest in the kreyon line at all, it just doesn't appeal to me,
Sure the minifigs look great and all, but I can't justify buying a Lego wanna be car/robot,
Especially as Lego lord of the rings has my full attention,

This above statement was before the news broke about the minifig blind bag assortment,

Now I love kre-o I can personally see me collecting the lot, and i like the idea of a couple of beastwars figs thrown in every wave or so,
I may even collect these instead of main line figures - i do hope that they (to begin with) just focus on G1 and beastwars,
Get a few of them under our belts before other lines like amarda, movie, rid, energon come out,
Oh god please no movie line minifigs please don't do it,

Should I now look for minifigs on eBay for already existing characters like jazz, prowl and stuff,
Hope to see some dinobots like swoop and optimus primal, cheetor - bring it on,
Hope wasp isn't a bee repaint, defo needs to be beastwars based

Holy crap, I know I wanted the large Vortex set simply to call the thing Spinster, but they're actually making a Kreon of him? AND Waspinator?

Actually, I'm not really opposed to any of those characters, the only limitation for me collecting these is money I can't really afford to spend on blindbags simply for little Transformer lego men, and I'm not one of those scumbags who tear open the package in the store.

Although how in the hell Sunstorm STILL hasn't gotten a Classics Seeker repaint release is beyond me when the virtual nobody Acid Storm did two classics lines ago.

Wow, the alt modes are so crappy... why bother? Make transformable Kre-o kits, not Kreons!

These are still partsformers, just like the kits themselves. Nothing is truly transforming in either scale.

I'm mixed on these guys. On one hand, we're getting Waspinator out of it. On the other hand...the "vehicle modes" look like ass.

What do you honestly expect for a Lego-former that consists of what, 10 pieces?

For the size and price, these are amazing, and I can't wait to see which others we'll be seeing.

Just a theory also, but I would love to see Hasbro use these for the Hall of Fame at Botcon next year. They could announce the winner by opening up a mini-Kreon blind bag that has the winner as a Kreon inside.
