It's really old news...

No, IIRC there was never 100% confirmation since all the promo pictures up to this point A) used G1 Fort Max as a stand in and B) omitted the huge sword. Granted, you could see the small sword, but that was not proof positive that the large sword was also included.

hmmm, what are all the slots and holes for on soundwave? functional?

I think - not 100% sure - that they're fake sockets for headphones and stuff, like the original one had. Probably not functional, just a part of the minicassette recorder detailing.

Ar the early days, e-HOBBY already has said "with Master Sword".

I was not aware of this. Even so, I think we can agree that seeing the actual mold test for the sword sitting there makes it a whole lot more real than any line of text on a website ever could.

They should leave Fort Max in that color scheme. Minus the brown.

I actually really like Fortress Maximus in those colors.

Some of the Microns in the multi-packs are in fact clear (unlike the solicits show).

Takara's Generations Bruticus is by far the nicest looking FoC Bruticus.

From the looks of it just mistransformed...it looks to have a twist behind the front legs thats just been put upside down..this would also put the sticky out flaps on the outside of the forelegs rather than the inside

It does look nice, but the OCD in me states that I'd have to get three more of those head mountings to put on every other release of that mold that I'd eventually track down.

Um, wow! I'm really kind of pissed that the AMW-13 & AMW-14 have clear components/ microns. All the stock photos of them make the Ooje blade look light green. I had intended to give him to Kup, kind of like a bayonet for his combined cannon/rifle mode. Scrap.

nice to see crazy coloured test shots are still a thing even if they dont pop up on ebay as much.

if so this is hilarious, people have been waiting for the longest time for any concrete proof that we would be getting the larger master sword and if it turns out it actually has been there written this whole time that makes me laugh

Only thing that would've made it funnier is if he had the malfunctioning spark accessories on his head.

That Fort Max presentation is really unimpressive. Sure, it's cool to see the test shot but Cog's missing an arm and the master sword isn't even complete. Surprising that they wouldn't put their best foot forward.

Kind've cool that the new AMWs are getting a full boxed release. That's neat.

Kind've not cool that some of those Microns are now needlessly molded in clear plastic; especially considering what a piece of junk Ironhide's Micron is to begin with. Also, the clear plastic is breaking up what I thought was some really nice complementary colors going on between the Autobot and Decepticon sets.

Still, eHobby isn't TakTomy. They work real closely with them, but far as I'm concerned up until now the matter of the Master Sword being included or not was a "he tell me" affair. Great to finally see 100% confirmation of it.

Something else worth noting is how they decided to display that FM test shot(Fortress Testimus? ) with a vintage FM box. That would seem to suggest they'll be emulating it for the encore release. Nothing highly unusual about that, but nice to know anyway.

Mother of God.... THIS IS AWESOME. Apart from Soundblaster who I don't care for (but I'll still get Shockwave), the BotShots or uh.... "BeCool", and POSSIBLY Leo Prime (depending on how he turns out - I don't think the pictures we've seen of that paint scheme have been great yet, and it's hard to tell if he has a new head or not. I don't think he does, but it'd be a selling point for me if he does), I'm gonna be buying all of these.

I'm so happy that I pre-ordered FoC Bruticus. The Japanese one, that is. That thing is gorgeous. Swindle and Brawl have amazing paint jobs, and Onslaught follows suit, too. It appears Vortex will look like Hasbro's SDCC photoshopped promo pics, which is good, because I always liked the look of that. The only one that still suffers a bit is Blast-Off, but I saw the Hasbro one in store the other day, and that's probably by far my favourite of the regular release colour schemes, so I could always mix and match. We'll see how he turns out, I guess.

Those Cassetticons looks great, too. They're about 2/3 the price of a Deluxe over here, which is really expensive for two tiny little robots, but considering (for me) that the Japanese price is only slightly higher, and, as I presumed, the paint jobs are FAR superior, I'll just stick with the Japanese releases.

sorry to disappoint you, but it's been said / confirmed many times that AM Lio Prime does not have a new head sculpt.

Possibly a "stand" for the energon cube or dare I say, an alternate cover for his chest piece that supports an additional tape?

Am I the only one who saw the Fort Max proto and thought it looked like a SG Maximus?

Forget SG. I would love to just see a straight Decepticon redeco of Fort Max in purple and black (maybe a little teal too) with Con logos all over the place.

Isn't Soundwave using his chest as some sort of radarscreen in one of the G1 episodes???

I think it may be a chest cover/connection piece so you can connect the energon cube to his chest to make it look like he's generating it.

Actually I think Mixmasterjay may be right. Wasn't it in More Than Meets The Eye where Soundwave had some kind of grid pattern schematic on his chest?
