Transformers GT Race Queen Figures Revealed

Mere hours after getting our first look at the Transformers GT characters in their robot modes, we are able to now share with you a look at the "Race Queens" figures that come with the Transformers GT releases. Far from being the non-poseable PVC figures with optional alternate parts of the Binaltech Asterisk and Kiss Players series, these are 90mm tall fully poseable figures using the modern Microman body. At this scale they are probably not going to be in scale with the Transformers they come with, but hey, since when were Transformers toys ever even in scale with each other?

Star Saber looks so good. Glad I preordered him.

Beautiful. Their feet are a bit HUGE from the remould, and Saber's head looks almost 2D from the picture, but they rock hard.

Kudos. Can't wait for Maximus.

TakTomy can't do any thing regardsing to the feet wise because it is after all using the same mold as the Red Convoy

Now that we have a clear look at Saber's bot mode color scheme, I think it doesn't quite work. The Star Saber name and homage is what's saving it.

I'm looking forward to seeing how big the microman race queen figures are. I doubt they'd be in the same scale as the cars. They're probably what's bumping the price up so much.

The race queen microman figures that are packaged with them add to the cost. From what we've seen, they won't be in scale with the cars but larger articulated microman figures.

Yup, definitely larger than 1:32 scale. They will be 9cm in height.

Oh wow, those girls are articulated but are not in scale AND are not even characters but literally just some girl in a suit advertising for the sponsors - that makes them pretty weird. I can't believe I'm saying this, but Kiss Play did it better.

I still might get Saber if the price drops. Dai Atlas is down on BBTS at the moment, maybe I'll end up with a G1 Leaders collection in Alternity.

I'm already sold on Star Saber, but I hope that a 3rd party company makes a Victory Leo upgrade set for him.

Now THAT would be awesome.

Neat but their included weapons are a bit of a letdown. I think TFC did a better job with their Gear of War add-ons. Also, these guys look a bit more ungainly and unbalanced than the original Alternity GT-R mold.

Yikes...that Prime is more expensive than the US MP-10.

But it looks awesome though...and the decals are sweeet.

They would have had to be really small to fit in there.

Incidentally, the novelty factor of the racing girls is making me wonder if I do in fact want one of these. Might be an eventual con purchase though - I see no need to grab it now; odds are I can find it cheaper in 6 months at a show.

Man, I had no interest in them at first, but now that we're getting Micro Ladies as well... yeah, I want 'em.

These girls scale perfectly... with my Joes and MU.

I hope their hip articulation won't be overly constrained by the mini-skirts, and while I like the MOTUL girl more aesthetically, her hair looks like it'll limit head articulation as well. Bummer.

i just wish these were cheaper as i would love to keep 1 in car mode and 1 in bot mode. i will however get atleast 1 set and i might be only 1 of a few but have no interest in the race girls that come with these.

The Girls are a must buy for me as I was only recently vociferously bitching about the lack of Microman toys (even though I like the smaller '99 era size ones) I do like the Microman girlies they are great to put on Transformers Deluxe Motorcycles like 2007 Arcee and Microman chicks are just generally sort of adorable and fun.

Nice complement to Kicker and Ga'mede too.

Obviously. Looking at the pics before knowing the size I could already tell they were not going to be in scale, just based on the level of articulation the figs have.

they are 90mm high, and according to google that is 3.5 inches tall. so that is just a little smaller then a joe.

I kinda feel that they should have been cast-off figures, just to hit that Kiss Players niche. Which isn't me, but I'd still find it amusing. I think.

This mock up was posted over at Seibertron.com.

If TakaraTomy had the chutzpah to not use Convoy/Prime, the Motul Autech GT-R would have made a much better Star Saber. They could have then used the Impul Calsonic GT-R for Dai Atlas.

Alas, those two late G1 Japan commanders don't have the same name recognition as Prime.
