These comments always make me chuckle. What do you expect them to do? It is a car that transforms into a robot. You are going to have pieces of car showing. Man, you must of really hated G1.

Thanks for the pics-REALLY on the fence with these. Just know these are going to look friggin' glorious once the color images show up.

Saber's headsculpt looks very Prime-like. If we didn't already know it was meant to be Star Saber, I don't think anyone would have guessed.

Sorry but these molds have been used a bazillion times now. just because they gave the molds a retool doesn't make them cool.

But oh well it is what it is. new heads look okay i guess.

I wish the Alternity figures that use the Optimus mold came with weapons like those.

Glad you were able to get a laugh, but seeing as how other bots with the same kinda backside were able to condense the kibble more ( $10 deluxes in fact) I'd think an overpriced item such as this could manage the same thing.

I just want Star Saber. I know he's not a jet thingy, but I'm okay with that.


And what's up with the blue chick's hand? Just...look at it. It looks wrong.

Pretty sure it's because Alternity has working doors and seats, like Human Alliance but with rubber tires and even more detail. Part of the deal with these is the alt mode realism which inherently gives something up in the transformation.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I really love Alternity. Its my favorite line of TF. These two are awesome much needed updates to the line. Is there any hope for completely new molds in Alternity? It's the only way to keep my interest.

The hood of the car, windshield and roof are the parts hanging on his back. I like to think of them as a cape with a high collar. Once you have this in hand and transform him, you look at all the positive features and forget about the negative stuff with the mold.

Show me a dlx toy with rubber wheels, a detailed interior, ball jointed ankles, wrists and heads, diecast components (love or hate it they have them) opening doors, hoods and trunks plus Automorph gimmicks

Do they cost a ton? sure but these are the top end of transformers with no compromises. These are toys the designers wanted to make since Altinators/BT a line that they got to have their own way with*

*bar the whole changing the head designs to make them prime and megs etc as originally the GTR was going to be Jazz and I'd guess Prowl would have been the FairladyZ

Also if you hate back kibble stay away from the seekers the whole top of the car becomes a set of wings (freakin looks awesome tho)

Back on topic. I will get at least one of these the idea is just too good and I'd love for them to give us the full livery's of each team

As much as I love both the mould and the GT-R itself I'll be passing on these, too great an expense at a tine when there's a lot of exciting completely new stuff coming out.

Just noticed that the back seats (feet) are still on these guys. Do GTR cars have rear seats? Not so accurate in that sense. I'm guessing the interior will be the same which is too bad.

Agree with you,the hefy price tag does not justify this small figure.

Those heads look very similar, but since I missed out on Alternity and decided I wanted these, I've already pre-ordered them anyway.

I still think they missed a great opportunity to bring back Kiss Players. Not that I like Kiss Players. But the messed up part of me likes the idea, at least, and I don't like my girls mixed with my robots, but...

I'm no race car expert, but I'm pretty sure GTR's don't got anything to do with police cars.
