Transformers Go! G-01 - G-04 revealed, includes a new Combiner?

We have been hearing a bit about how Beast Hunters will be released in Japan as Transformers Go! with releases starting from G11 Hunter Optimus Prime (see previous news story, scan from that story at left). The question that this raised with many of us is "why G-11? Where is G01 through G10?"

Well, it seems online retailer Kapow Toys has posted a partial answer. Listings have been added for G-01 through G-04, and by all indications, these are new toys (G-04 we suspect may be an existing Predacon release since they are suspiciously absent from the Japanese listings so far with the exception of Predaking).

The listings are:

G01 Kenzan Samurai, a police car
G02 Jinbu Samurai, a jet
G03 Ganoh Samurai, a fire engine
G04 Gaidora

All four are set for a release in June. Details attached to G01 through G03 indicates that they can combine into three different larger robots - presumably this means that one of them forms the main robot and the remaining two the limbs. Gaidora we assume might be a Predacon, based on the fact that the name has a lot in common with a kaiju from Ultraman or Godzilla / Gojira.

As for what these toys are - well friends, right now there are no pictures, so your guess is as good as ours. The fact that they are combiners means they aren't anything we have seen so far. Perhaps these might be somehow connected to the reported cartoon series being produced for China - or perhaps they are more new Japan-only toys.

Could this be that series that we heard was Chinese-exclusive, but actually isn't?

To say nothing of the fact that "Go!" is the title the Beast Hunters toys are being released under in Japan...

G03 Genoh Samurai - Fire Truck doesn't fit in with any BH toys, so this must be something entirely new.

The rk's listing for Transformers Go toys starts with G11 number (beast hunters voyager Op...)... very weird, now I'm curious to see what are those first numbers characters

BeeCool is the Japanese name for Botshots.

A... Nowhere does this say it's a combiner.

B... TakTom is already calling BH "Transformers: Go!", and we know that the new series' numbering starts at G11. Why would they release a different animation under the same name using the same numbering system?

The listings on the Kapow website, specifically say that G01 through 03 can combine together.

Probably, at first I though they would be reissues of Energon figures then read they are a 3-bot system, and Energon didn't have a 2-bot Jet guy.

Depending on design, and quality I might think about picking up a few imports... unless TRU pick them up.

Great a 3 man mix/match combiner team....When will they learn, we dont want gimmicky non canon combiners. We want Superion,devastator, defensor etc.

I don't see any mention of a combiner or size class or anything. Once again, was it not varified that TF: GO is just the Japanese name for Beast Hunters?

If HasTak just went with the G1 teams we would never get Magnaboss, Tripredacus, Build King and JRX.

I welcome new non-canon with open arms and hope for even more combiner teams.

Considering their giving us a Senator Ratbat and as of right now Hasbro has no plans to, I wouldn't be shocked if this was something they made up specifically for their BH line.

Right now I'm intrigued to see how this plays out.

Well if you were paying attention to another thread, you would be aware that people like combiners that weren't always 5-bot teams.

There is a lot of love for a lot of different combiners.

Please don't let them be Japan or Asia exclusives can I at least buy it in canada and I don't want to wait for long heck I still have not seen a single prid wave 3 figure (hot shot etc) what's wrong with Canada not being able to get the good figures anymore?

Well this is definitely interesting news. Vehicles would seem to imply Autobots. Maybe Hasbro will get these as well just not announced yet. Remember how in an interview one of the TF Prime guys said there will be new characters, new support?

I've had all those figures and while they're ok tell me you wouldn't rather an updated computron than those. Those figures aren't in particular demand nor hard to obtain years after their release. Mix and match combines sounds more more pcc and energon deluxes which were a disaster

PCC drones do that worse because they specifically become an arm or a leg. I wouldn't really call the Energon deluxes a "disaster", they just aren't amazing and no small part of some of their wonkiness is the aesthetic used. They are all things considered certainly not worse than any of the classic G1 combiners.

And of course BW stuff isn't as hard to obtain as G1 stuff.
