Toys R Us Japan have updated with product pages for the next four Transformers Go! releases. Coming this June are the three Autobot Samurai Kenzan, Jinbu and Ganou - who combine into three different giant robots based on who forms the upper body, torso and legs - along with the Predacon Gaidora, a Lazerback retool with a new head and new deco.

Around 50$ each? Voyager size? but 50$? Maybe Ultra class? But I remember those went for around 40.

How many tims I have to explain about this line...!?
They are completely Japanese original toys. Not Us mass-produce line.
axiom
These remind me of those ROADBOTS. At least the ROADBOTS pulled off a realistic vehicle mode. I know these are not trying to be real cars, but the robot mode looks a lot like ROADBOT'S robot modes.
Philip164
Not a fan; if these were Cyberverse Commanders I could forgive the designs, but these are ugly $50 Voyagers.
Underwear
Of course they looked ugly, these are the same not-so-clear pixs that we got months ago, for better pixs just check out the magazine scans thread.

Regardless I'm still getting these guys & the ninja animal team, it's been a long time since we got something akin to Brave toys
spartan 3764
The yellow one will be Powerglide,
The Fire truck remind me of an energon figure.
and the police car reminds me of 1 of the Star Guardians

Bro, these are exclusive to Takaratomy only. That means Japan exclusive moulds. Hasbro are not releasing them, period.

he didnt mean it was made in Japan, he meant that these wont be US bound!

Well, I for one dig these. They're bulky and kinda silly, but they scream Brave and Super Robot to me, so I'm gonna buy them. If I have enough money, that is. Apparently everyone decided to release everything in June and July this year. Thanks, TakaraTomy. Way to join the bandwagon on release dates.

I know that but just gauging with the price for the size.

I wish they'd be bigger. For an even bigger combiner.

Eh, I dunno, I think their the perfect size already. They are evern taller than the BH Voyager Prime mould, for crying out loud! And when they combine, their height would increase to at least an Ultra Class height. Think TF: Prime Ultra Predaking or bigger. so size is not an excuse for me, anyway not to get them. They look like fun toys regardless. Add tot he traditional play vlues of obtaining different combinations : think GETTER ROBO G, GETTER DRAGON + LIGER + POSEIDON SET and they have 3 combo mega bot that you can combine them into.
Deceptigtar
love gaidora. that head sculpt is awesome.
Timesynch
These Go! bots look pretty neat but their odd proportions and sculpting don't make them look like Transformers at all, but characters from some other franchise to me (my opinion, of course). They look solid and beefy with good engineering/articulation, at least.

So tall combiners will forever have unicrotches...

There will be a next time. Still hopeful.

hey, nothing's prefect, right?

if you wanna go ahead and skip these then more power to you, dude.

complaining about little quirks and chinks in the design ain't gonna help.

Combiners have always been my achiles' heel. Found out that price wasn't even a question nor size.

But I just want something bigger than what I already have. Someday...

That's twice people misunderstand what I said when I wrote it plainly.
mattwhite924
Took me a bit to figure out what was weirding me out about them. Then I realized it, the big problem is that none of them have real waists. They just have extra long legs that stick out of their chest that have joints around where their waist should be.

whoops, then apologies for the misunderstanding. But I dont think we are ever going to get Leader class type combiners anytime soon. I would't hold my breath..

You all keep saying this (Not just you, W_S-X - just needed to quote SOMEONE)... But remember - these are "free" molds. All the R&D is done, the molds are made. If there's a home for them here, why WOULDN'T Hasbro bring them over?

The key point there being "if there's a home for them". They need to fit a price point, obviously, and they need to fit a line. Now, that might not happen, or it might not happen for a while...

... But none of you works for Hasbro. Or Takara-Tomy. Stop acting like you know better than they do what their future plans are. Even if T-T is saying this is Japan-Exclusive at the moment, nothing about our past experiences with them suggests the POSSIBILITY doesn't exist for Hasbro to bring these over. It's far more likely that Hasbro simply has no desire to at the moment.

Given people's reaction to them, it's not hard to see why. These really do OOZE the AEC-esque combiner vibe. They're gangly, awkward, and goofy-looking. I kind of have a soft spot for this type of combiner, and I'm not paying import prices, so I'm gonna bite (if only in the hopes that they're not as goofy in person, and as a curiosity for my collection)... But I can understand why a lot of people won't be. More power to them.

The fire truck bot, in particular, has really awkward fists. For voyagers, these guys are REALLY simplistic...
Stepper
At the moment,it is only TakaraTomy releasing them,of course since the mold is there,we will never know what TakaraTomy or Hasbro will be up to whereby eventually Hasbro may release them or may not release them. But till date,we can conclude it is strictly Japan release at the moment. My opinion is in general, not targetting at anyone's comment in this thread,if i have offended anyone,am sorry.

thanks for driving the first point forward, dude. Yes, I may not know or would not be sure that these wont be ported over to the US, but, there's been loads of TF G1 related stuff that didnt make it over like the Trainbots as a basis for my argument. and the second part of your reply is exactly why I believe that these would not take off as well. Also there is the issue of where or in what line Hasbro would want to decide to put them in and given the possible price point (again just an assumption, no need to geek out or nerd rage on me.. ) that thee would easily, easily pass the $50 mark. Then what? Would Hasbro want to risk the possibility of not being able to sell these designs over in the US? Are they going to want to risk cutting a loss in profits. Ah, well...
SMOG
Oh my god, so much drama and bossiness in this thread.

Now that I'm getting a proper look at these guys, I feel better about missing them. I knew they'd be expensive as imports, and the police car guy feels a bit large to fit nicely into my collection, but with a clear view of their joints and styling, I think they are way more awkward than bots of this generation should be. Easy pass.

Could be that Hasbro releases these molds at some point in the future, as repaints or part of another line or whatever... but I'm not seeing anything here that I'd want to shell out Voyager pricing for. Too bad.

Strange that takara are releasing these with no attached media and they look extremely different in comparison to the Prime style. Really hoping this isn't the new iteration coming.

I believe their will be a straight to DVD series. Style wise its looking like Cybertron with a mix of 2D humans and 3D CGI bots

As for the toys. Some things bug me but keeping in mind how these 3 can interchange in their combo transformation on a similar level to the Getter robo's I like what I see. However I think I might wait it out for a repaint i'm not a fan of the primary colours Also I'm more interested in the Ninja team
Stepper
Actually, the combination sure also spot a similar style like "Superlink" series.
Dansproject
I don't understand all the hate, these look like fun.
Stygian360
I really want to like these, but something about their aesthetic- particularly in robot mode- seems like a gigantic step backwards in design. Something leaning more towards another lesser era than anything representing a step forward. Prime to me- love it or hate it- seems like a huge quantum leap forward, whereas this absolutely does not.

Those aren't the words I'd choose.

these things are absolutely hideous. shouldn't even be under the transformers brand name.

the red one is barely passable as a robot, but the other two are DADDYLONGLEGSNOTORSO.

thanks takara, saving me money one release at a time.

I hope these come to the US.

Why didn't they bring the Voyager class Arms Micron Breakdown mold over to the US for the Prime toyline?

Why didn't they bring Animated Wingblade Prime or Blackout over to the US?

oh thanks for reminding me of those important releases. Ah hah! Shocker! Hasbro has had other plans for the franchise -after all...

I appreciate the molded detailing and color schemes, so I'm warming to them.

implying G1 to present toy's anatomy proportions are bad as hell cuz they don't look human despite being ALIEN ROBOTS who aren't ment to look human from the start?.....

Since Hasbro did originally show Wingblade Optimus Prime as an upcoming figure for their line (albeit with the deluxe Prime mold), you appear be reinforcing BraveMax's point about plans changing all the time.

I can.... calmly and reasonably state.... that these are not to my liking. No hate from me, I'm actually sort of relieved I can skip them, with other stuff coming out in the near future.

The police car looks more like a Roadbot than anything, and the jet and firetruck seem to have that annoying Energon Autobot pelvis-less hip design.

You could almost repurpose the jet into Shattered Glass Dirge, but it sort of not even worth the trouble.

Sad to say, Gaidora looks pretty bad to me as well. That head sculpt is way too busy for that body, and looks out of place. It reminds me unpleasantly of pizza-faced PCC Huffer.

Anyway, more money to put toward other things!

but there is a possibility that specific Japan only moulds are just being solicited locally and therefore only sold there in the country. They are simply for the Japanese market, nothing more.

The point is not that what they are presently doing, it's that you don't know that they won't do it in the future.

Figures were named that had been planned but not released. But by their nature, things that weren't originally planned but ultimately were released (ie: the things you probably didn't know you weren't going to get) often don't get the same attention. Or outrage.

For example, are you certain that they originally planned from day one to mass remold their Prime toys into the Beast Hunters range? Look where we are now. Can you be sure that they always intended that second pass at First Edition figures after cancelling the original wave? That happened too, but it probably wasn't going to.

The Almanacs tell us they originally weren't planning to do a Samurai Prowl toy, or to have Oil Slick in the Animated cartoon. Yet we got them.

These guys are Japan-only. At the present time.
