TFW Tokyo Toy Show Exclusive United Black Optimus Prime Gallery
A new Decepticon ground troop had falsely claimed themselves to be Autobots and were causing havoc in many parts of Earth. To stop the disturbances, Optimus Prime used the enemy's tactic himself and planned to infiltrate the Decepticons camp. He repainted his body in jet-black and applied Decepticon insignia on his shoulders to make himself "Black Optimus Prime". He destroyed everything in his path as if his suppressed inner desires were unleashed. What actually happened to him...?

RiD Prowl you could potentially custom a Universe Red Alert - go for his "super" colours so he looks distinct though. Reason being, RiD Prowl was originally named Mach Alert in Japan, which makes him a Red Alert variant in the same way that God Magnus was Ultra Magnus. The body could be made about 80% accurate, you might want a new head though, or even a transplant of the RiD head onto the Red Alert body.
X-Brawn, again you might want to look at a head swap, but Universe Ironhide's body is closest. Might want to try using a Ratchet and going for the super colours again so the base toy is more or less the right deco.

The TF concept and storyline was all pretty realistic up till that point, though...
I agree the red windows look great, as do the Con symbols on the shoulders. Just not sure it's a $100 upgrade.

Even though I already have the mold this looks great! Storywise I would have preferred it if he was some type of clone instead of OP painting himself and then telling the cons that he is Optimus.

I am one of the fortunate souls to own the winterfest original prototype this figure was based upon. There are some differences that are of interest to note.
- Teal - On the prototype, the teal is much more subdued and not as bright. This allows for the black and reds to really stand out
- Grill and bumper - The prototype's are black, but since it was a testshot, it may have been planned to be chromed in the final product
- Insignia's - The prototype has Autobot logo's instead on decepticon on the shoulders.
I will try to get pictures to compare the two later on
