Via eBay seller Lena81822 we have a quick in-hand look at the Takara-Tomy version of Roadbuster! This Japanese market release of Generations Roadbuster is a slightly tweaked version of the Hasbro version and will appear in the Transformers Legends toyline later this month along with Japanese market releases of Tankor and Whirl. Check out the images after the break.

I kinda like the autobot symbol there. Some of the IDW comics have the symbol on the side of the chest.
I like both – I wish the stickers on Hasbros were cut better. My autobot symbol hardly fits on his chest, I'm about to peel it off and replace it with a white backed reprolabel.
LegendAntihero
It doesn't look much better than the Hasbro version if at all
Underwear
It's just a continuation of their Generations line that's all.
Movie Convoy
The knees on my copy of Hasbro's version of Generations Voyager Rhinox were sufficiently tight right out of the box. As for Generations Voyager Roadbuster, and Whirl for that matter, I'm completely skipping both versions of those figures.
PredaconElder
Still looks terrible.
Randomus
Sure, but with Rhinox it was an easy fix to a glaring problem (and I don't think even those kinds of fixes are all that common).
The only real problem I can think of for my Hasbro RB was that the shoulder pieces could've been tighter…nowhere near the can't-stand-the-figure-up scandal that Hasbro's Rhinox was. (As usual, though, YMMV.)
Autovolt 127
I think the fact the Takara version tamogramphed the Autobot logo on is probably the only real huge plus over the Hasbro version.
I don't care for stickers at all.
Treadshot 2.0
Takara's roadbuster has all orange thighs, and green panels on the side of his lower legs, and a tampographed Autobot symbol (admittedly in a better position), and possibly a different shade of orange. Near as I can tell, that's it. I actually prefer my Hasbro version.
Bass X0
same mold as hasbros with a different name
Turakonin Prime
heres my "i dont pay much attn" quetion: is these takara legends same size as "legends" or just takaras gimmick they are labeling it?
Wh33ls
Agreed. I mostly prefer TT over Hasbro, but for this one, I love the Hasbro version a lot more over TT.
Bass X0
Wake me up when someone does Fisitron from him.
TCJJ
I could be wrong, but I thought they actually did use different factories. Either way, TakaraTomy has a track record recently for producing figures that are of slightly higher quality than Hasbro. For instance, Generations Waspinator doesn't have the common cracking problems on the Japanese version that the Hasbro version has, and the Japanese Megatron (Megatronus) is a sturdier figure than its Hasbro counterpart.
wildfly
Inner parts of upper legs on the Hasbro one are green.
divinecomedy
Not necessarily true, Takara's Rhinox did improve on Hasbro especially the knees.
BrawnG1
You can with a Dremel and cut his wrists off, and find a way to put it on a swivel..with out changing the look..
I have a friend who did it to his.. Looks exactly just about the same as before and after..
BrawnG1
What makes this so different from the Generations version?
I have him, he is awesome.. I don't see the attraction to this slightly repainted version
Cheebs
In defense of the status quo, Roadbuster is very easy to transform.
barrelks
Yup, while I like my Takara versions more than the Hasbro versions when it comes to classics, I am still playing a bit of catch-up on the last run (Sandstorm, Springer, Hoist, etc), and this Takara version is very low on my priority list right now.
Yobuster
Doesn't look like there is that much of a difference.
