At 5000 yen, that would make it more of a ripoff than the cost for Ark Unicron! I think the more likely (and exciting) possibility is a new mold that we're only hearing about like this because we don't have Chinese leaks any longer.

Apparently, he's leader sized if you go by price. Wonder if they'll make a primus too? Curious about his microns.

Certainly looking foward to more news of Unicron! That has me excited!

I speculated about a Weaponizer/leader class Unicron! Hope he looks like his rock self

& Darkness Megatron is most likely a Weaponizer Megatron with a little more Dark energon. Thats what I think, b/c ya know, "Darkness Rising". Kinda obvious if you ask me.

Either way, I cant wait for the US releases. I dont give a CRAP what they look like, im getting them! WHOO!

I'm looking forward to these but I'm kind of worried about Unicron. 5000 yen says he'll probably be a leader figure, which is fine, but what will he transform into? I know, people have already mentioned both of these, but it's worth reiterating. Also, Breakdown is Swerve? Is Swerve the name for Breakdown in Japan? I thought they were using all the English names now, and not changing them. Else maybe they're doing the whole Skyquake/Dreadwing thing all over again..... Oh, but it does say Autobot Swerve in Japanese, so..... who knows?

Actually, going back to price, Robot Kingdom has stock images of Powerizer Optimus and RID Bumblebee. Darkness Megatron and Unicron both have the same price (US$51.90) and both have the stock Powerizer Optimus image, so I think it's more likely that they'll be Voyagers. You've got to remember that Japanese Transformers have TRADITIONALLY been more expensive, even if they supposedly aren't this time around. So assuming Unicron is a Leader Class, that'd mean Darkness Megatron is also a new mould in the Leader Class. Although, it IS interesting that Swerve/Breakdown/whatever has a slightly lower price than both Megatron and Unicron.

The Jet Vehicon should be interesting to see, and Ironhide... it's about time we heard he was coming out. They both appear to be Deluxes, using the stock blacked-out RID Bumblebee picture.

5000 yen is not Leader Class in Japan. Leader Class is about 7000 yen. 5000 yen is only slightly more expensive than a normal Voyager (4000 yen or so).

Few problems. Arms Micron voyagers are 4000 Yen. These new listings are 5000. And the place holder images for EVERY AM deluxe is Bumble Bee.

I was in Japan two weeks ago. PRID voyager class figs were going for about 3300 yen. The only voyagers over 4000 yen were FE Bulkhead (4400) and FE Optimus (7000+). And obviously those are limited availability, which accounts for the inflated price.

So I'm guessing these 5000 yen figs are something more than voyagers.

Aww darn, this means that Megs and Unicron have pop out weapons and funky levers to activate them!

I can't YES hard enough. Either Voyager or Weaponizer is fine, I'm just ecstatic that Unicron is getting a toy at all.

Curious on what Megatron/Unicron end up being. My money's on them still being Voyager-class with bigger Microns, though.

REALLY want the Unicron though given his Micron will likely turn into a mini-Unicron.

He'll probably be a Megatron figure that sports loads of translucent purple plastic that pulsates or lights up to mimic the "dark energon" flowing through his veins.

If they do go that route, then I want a Ratchet repaint with loads of neon green from that time he was juicing and hitting on Arcee.

What they're going for in-store is not the retail price, which is what this is. All the AM Voyagers have a 4200 (w/tax) yen retail price. This is 5,000, or perhaps 5250 taxed. So, it's not as big a gap as you're thinking.

If they get around to the end of Season 1 around September or sometime before that, releasing Unicron around then in Japan makes sense. Very cool to see either way. Hopefully we gets news regarding what exactly this and the Megatron figure will look like at Botcon.
