Via Hobby Search, word reaches us that the Revoltech Convoy figure is to see a reissue under Kaiyado’s “Legacy of Revoltech” banner which seems to be celebrating the Revoltech series as a whole. Revoltech Convoy was released back in January 2007, and was based on the Pat Lee Dreamwave artwork of Optimus Prime. It’s a highly poseable little figure and worthy of checking out if you do not own it already.
This reissue is due to hit in September 2014, and does not seem to have any extra parts or accessories over the original, but we shall soon find out if that truly is the case.

Huh? How do you figure? I was just expressing my opinion…
FoC Grimlock
That's really expensive for a Revoltech
Mister Chief
Yes! The last one i need
[Wing_Saber-X]
I will sadly pass on this re-release. Figma's offerings bar Girly figures, i.e IronMan etc, are so much better than Revoltechs nowadays IMO.

You guys should really stop going to BBTS for imports. It's 3,900 Yen at retail but HLJ has it for 3,315 so going that route it'll be a hair above $40 and well below BBTS' infamous import mark-up.
Man, I can't believe this release cost so much. I wonder if new licensing fees upped the price or is it just simply the rising costs of production.

Isn't there a Gohkin in the works?
That looks great.
SPLIT LIP
You know what'd be sweet?
A Figuarts Optimus. Or SRC I guess.
Kimmer
Holy shit $50? I think I paid like $20 for mine way back when. It would have been cool if they did more g1 characters.
NemiMonkey
It's already been posted in the BBTS thread, but here's the pre-order page with rundown of accessories. Legacy of Revoltech LR-008 Convoy Optimus Prime – Transformers Revoltech Revoltech
Unless a Nemesis Prime is in the works I don't think I'm going to bother.
LegendAntihero
Are you trolling?

To those complaining about Pat Lee Prime, he was always going to be that version because the Revoltech Transformers like him and Megatron were originally going to be blind boxed trading figures like their Spiderman Unlimited trading figures with weird articulation that forced them into specific poses:

These were going to come out during the time of Energon, that's why one of the other figures they had planned was a decent looking Energon Optimus.
Those logos are the same as the originals product images. The logos are different on the actual product. These images are just the old images reused. The toy should be the same as it's original release.
If there's any change they should really do its retool his shoulders so they are no longer cut joints and can actually use revoltech joints instead.
Autovolt 127
Holy Crap!
How did I not know until now that Revoltech Optimus Prime/Convoy's design was based on Pat Lee's Dreamwave.

Seems like I'm one of the few who actually like Pat Lee's artwork. I stopped collecting the comics once they stop producing.
incapable hulk
The Autobot logos on his shoulders are different, but that looks to be about it.
Liege Prime
Yeah, he's really not as good as he looks. Unless you have some adoration for Pat Lee's style, there are many more Primes out there that are more detailed and easier to pose that STILL transform.
(and the gun just flops out of the hand if you move him)
ahchu
I was thinking the same thing…
SPLIT LIP
Ugh, Revoltech.
UGH, Dreamwave Prime.
Obsidian X
I have him (and Megs, Magnus, Roddy and Screamer too), release the Starscream mold as Skywarp and Thundercracker.. and possibly Sunstorm and I'll buy them.
He is ok, but that mold is probably my least favourite of the four molds of Revoltechs Dreamwave-styled transformer figures.
