Neat! Wildrider's head is a update/melding of his G1 toy and cartoon heads. Scramble City peg shaped (toy) with spikes sticking out the sides (cartoon).

Hmm... AM Rumble and Frenzy both share the same remolded head. I thought one was supposed to have the same head as Hasbro's Rumble.

I'm leaning towards getting Wildrider again.

Frenzy/Rumble have painted rims! Head sculpt looks nice too, more G1ish.

Maybe put the Hasbro Rumble head on Tomy Frenzy and give both sets of piledrivers (I have an extra Rumble) to the two Tomy ones..

I'm getting those three. For blue Rumble though, I'll switch the heads and weapons with the Hasbro Rumble and then sell the Hasbro version with the Arms Micron and the new head.

These all look great. This only makes me wonder, though... what the heck am I gonna do with Hasbro Rumble? I hate to sell him because he is a nice figure and has a unique headsculpt, but these guys are clearly going to displace him as the proper Rumble and Frenzy in my Prime collection. I don't really like repurposing, but man, I have to do something with him. Maybe Reprolabels can do a set converting him to Boss or Eject or someone.

Also, hah, Wildrider's weapon is an elephant... to go along with Breakdown's rhino. A little Stunticon-pachyderm connection, perhaps accidental (we'll know if an AM Dragstrip suddenly shows up wielding a hippopotamus minion... ).

The toy's official name as per TakaraTomy is "Stunt Wildrider" (previously, they had "Stuntron Wildrider" for Henkei/Gentei). The extra space in the romanization of "Wild Rider" is completely arbitrary (unless it's on the packaging), and the only precedent on Hasbro's end would be the unreleased Speed Stars toy.

I wonder if Frenzy & Rumble will come with optional "upgrade" stickers like what Nemesis and Silas Breakdown did because their alt modes look pretty barren otherwise.

Every time I see stuff like this I can't help but feel bitter I would have loved to collect alot of these toys....but IMO Hasbro have mishandled the Prime Line worse than any other in a long time.

And as an Australian not only is the rather limited offerings in this line overly expensive I saw Ratcher and Arcee for the 1st time last week.......

I guess I'd be inclined to call 1) Wildrider <- and 2) Wild Ride (from Car Robots) <- but that might change if Hasbro start fiddling with the spelling of WildRider to get the name use back. But for some reason either is fine to me - I might think it a little odd if people started breaking up all names of Transformers that are compound names but it does seem to work as well either way with him. where as with some others it might alter the meaning for example Powertrain and Power Train.

It's curious that Frenzy has a plain grill on him unlike the Hasbro Blue Rumble version and the red Rumble which has moulded in stripes.

I wonder if Bandai are going to sue Takara for making their Micron a Power Rangers "Revolver Elephant" (Hurricane Mammoth)? :

seriously, give him Baro and slap a giant dai gurren logo on his roof, so that half the logo is on each shoulder, and that way you don't ruin the look of the car mode so much with it (having two tiny logos on the roof side by side would look bad) and you are set!

That Wilderider is wicked he's rock'n that sculpt hard, and I'm loving that Frenzy (even if his face looks a little animated to me) oh just release it in the states already.

All are bought. XD I really want a complete TFP Stunticons set of figures (not sure whose mold they could use for Dragstrip but Universe Dragstrip works in a pinch for me already, and a black/purple Ultra Magnus would work well for Motormaster). Frumble I love the colors much more than Hasbro's version, though the stock photography may be deceiving me. Here's to hoping they include the stock black piledrivers. Wildrider appears to come with black Wheeljack swords on top of his elephantine drum-loaded grenade launcher AM (awesome, by the way). The tako piledriver AM that Frumble comes with looks OK but that ugly gold-tan plastic isn't working for me, personally.

Can someone post a photo of ROTF Breakdown next to Prime Wheeljack? I am curious to see how they compare in size, i.e. whether this Wildrider would work with ROTF Breakdown.

Give Rumble some red paint and make him Enemy.

^ Or just keep Hasbro Rumble in alt mode and sticker him up with those neat tuner Reprolabels. Can always give his piledrive guns to AM Breakdown and mount them on his shoulder ports (they fit him perfectly). That's what I plan to do.

In this context? No, he's the red one. The US blue one is called Rumble.

Step 1: Take Prid Ratchet
Step2: Take Prid Rumble
Step3: Swap Heads and make Prid Hotspot and uhh some generic guy.

I don't know about anyone else, but Prid Rumble's head sort of does remind me of Hotspot.

Glad I pre-ordered Wildrider. The fact that he uses Wheeljack's mold alone makes him worth it, but that head.
Kind of wishing I had pre-ordered Rumble and Frenzy. At the very least Frenzy, because it's not just me Takara's teasing us with that Gurren Lagann deco.

Wildrider is a thing of freaking beauty and will be mine, Rumble....I'm buying him but I hope that. A) We get clarification from Hasbro before he's out & B) We get a reprolabels set for him.

Also I see Japanese Rumble/Frenzy will share the same head sculpt....which is a different one that the US.

I'm really kinda surprised at how robust the robot modes for Rumble and Frenzy are. When you see the car mode, in the back of my mind I'm expecting G1 Skids to come out of that, but when they are transformed they look fantastic!

Not really feel the Wheeljack repaint at all. The color scheme is just ugly and not very well thought out.

It was hard to resist the GL reference on Hasbro's Rumble. But these new heads have put the clincher on me.

Although I'd paint him more tangelo, than red, otherwise let the red confusions begin!

I passed on Hasbro's Rumble. I just didn't like his color (not a RIRFIB thing, more of a "teal, neon yellow, and clear red don't look good to me" thing).

Shame about the piledrivers. If I find a Rumble at Marshall's then I'll pick it up for $7, but certainly not the $18 that Target's selling it for here.

I have "The Red One" and Wildrider already preordered but I didn't know if I was going to keep them. After seeing these pictures I'm definitely keeping them they look awesome!

I still don't own that mold, so I'm VERY tempted by Wildrider. I love giant insignias, I've bought figures solely for that reason. Will need to chop the pegs off the spoiler though.

Actually, on closer examination I think you're right. Either way, still the same (very) general family of mammals.

Shame R&F only come with one "pile driver" a piece... still... as with most of the Microns... one can hope for the figures to be sold in separate packages.

Reminds me I should check the new weapon 4-5 packs on TFS/BBTS... such a sucker for TargetMaster-like minicons...
