Also updated through the E-HOBBY storefront tonight are a lot of new photos of some upcoming Transformers: United products, specifically of the Takara redecos of the Power Core Combiners toys with homages and familiar color schemes are abound, such as the Sledge redeco in G2 Constructicon (Orange) colors and PCC Huffer (and his packaged limb drones) in RiD Scourge colors.

I didn't know where to post this, but….
Tomy isn't even trying anymore…

Okay, I'll admit, that Heavy Tread repaint looks really nice. I think I might have to buy one, just so I can get the 3rd party limbs for him. In fact, all of these have really nice paint jobs. It's a shame so many of the moulds just aren't that great, especially the stupid limbs.
BlueAngel_Bolt
I could not agree on this post more. Double Clutch honestly looked to be one of the coolest ones in the PCC line. But the fact he was a fiddly, unstable mess ruined him for me. This repaint looks fantastic too, but I don't want to spend $80+ on something that'll most like have all the same problems as the original.
That being said, however, the Steamhammer and Nemesis Huffer packs look fantastic. Same with Skyhammer, Heavy Tread, and Undertow, which, IMO were the few figures that actually handled all modes well and stayed stable. Same with Grimstone. They saved the line for me in the end. And I may pick up at least this G1 colored Steamhammer in the end.

The line isn't underrated at all… at least if you consider that their main gimmick was the Combiner mode… to which the figures failed miserably. Limbs were either impossibly difficult to attach, or failed to stay attached… and some fail to automorph… so yea… QC ridden and fugly to boot!
The 2-packs are the only saving grace for the line… because they disregard the combiner mode, and sell them as Scouts with a Minicon. Both of which are quite nice.
There's only two or three Commanders I'd say were subpar or bad… the rest are quite nice… but the only two I'd see folks justifiably importing from the Takara releases would be Heavy Tread and Undertow.
And I definitely agree on the Double Clutch… his arms *ruin* the bot and Combiner modes for the figure horribly. That and the inability to tab his torso bits up properly… easily the worst functioning figure in the line… which is a shame since conceptually it looks kinda cool.

PCC is a little underrated in my view & I have all the NA releases. But these are a little too expensive for what they are–especially the redecoed Doubleclutch set that probably retains all the problems of the original.
Kaijumaster
I know right! the entire PCC devastator is $20 less than a single Hercules figure, but people come up with oh so many reasons why it's "crappy and overpriced".
B-Fox
I like how people who spend lots and lots of money on KO figures have to justify spending that money on an unofficial product by bashing anything remotely related to it that's officially released. It's like that one guy who kept calling every version of MP Grimlock inferior to E-Hobby King Grimlock because that was the overly expensive figure he'd bought.
I'm liking the Vs packs thus far but I'm skipping the 80 buck drone sets, though I'm severely tempted by those Constructicons and Rallybots even though the latter is a jive mess.
Heavy Tread reminds me of a Micromaster. Isn't that what Bombshock's color scheme was? Undertow looks like Quickswitch to me.
Cloudraker
I agree with Sunlink. Nice decos but too spendy.
Though I am locked in for Heavytread & Waterlog as of the moment.
Autobot Burnout
For the most part, those don't look half bad. Kind of hard to make out some of the faction allignments, though, as they've clearly switched some around and I can't see the symbols on some. The only ones I'd be interested in are the G1 Constructicon 5-pack (because that looks really good in the same color scheme) and the repaint of Skyhammer that strikingly resembles G1 Jet/Skyfire.
I also think the Undertow repaint shouldn't have used solid baby/AllSpark blue for the tranlucent bits. I can see how it helps blend in those blatant PCC drone connection points on his back, but it nullifies his visor gimmick of having light piped eyes. Now he looks even more painfully generic.
PrimusVsUnicron
Must have green and purple constructicons
megatroptimus
At least buying the Constructicons.
GreednGluttony
if they were cheaper…….and if i had money
microclone
they do look way better with the unified colour schemes but despite being a bit of temporary fun i found the PCC's ill designed and cheap feeling.
Stepper
Takara assume that with added nicer colour will tempt the collectors but now way man
sunlink
These do look nice on the outside. Too bad they're overpriced
Stepper
I assume Hasbro will never learn their lesson, hence they may do that.
Raiju
Um, no. I hope you were just joking there, lol. My sarcasm detector is a little faulty but them's the Interwebz for ya. (If you were being sarcastic, then carry on!)
As nice as the paint job is, it's still PCC, meaning the combiner connectors are horribly loose/unstable with limbs that like to pop off, and very limited articulation and poseability. And this is an honest assessment coming from me, a person who actually likes the PCC line, despite its inherent glaring flaws. XD
That and the price of these Takara repaints. It'll cost between $70-$90 USD to import these things outside of Japan. Herc and Giant suddenly aren't looking so bad, considering. =)
Haha! You, sir, have just won yourself an Internetz. (Don't spend it all in one place now. XD)
Stepper
Too pricey for the once failed under Hasbro, skip.
Omegax80
I feel like Hasbro will eventually release some PCC's using G1 color schemes under a new Universe/Classics/Generations line. They did that using the RID Build Team in Universe, and the Energon Constructicons in Classics.
Would like to see G1-accurate Aerialbots.
spinister
talk about putting lipstick on a pig.
over priced crap.
