New Takara-Tomy Releases Announced: Fall of Cybertron Bruticus, Encore Yellow Devastator and More

Courtesy of the Planet Iacon Facebook page, we now have a confirmation of future Takara-Tomy Transformers releases for the Arms Micron, Encore, and Transformers Generations lines in Japan. These confirmations are listings only and there are no pictures at this time.

First, for the upcoming "Transformers Generations" line we have an announcement that the Fall of Cybertron Combaticons will be released in Japan seperately in game-accurate colors. Whether or not these toys will have a special metallic paint job as rumored for the Optimus Prime and Jazz releases has yet to be seen.

Second, for the Arms Micron line we have listings for both Frenzy AND Rumble, as well as a release for "Stunticon Wildrider". It is unknown at this time which mold the Wildrider release will be made from, but odds are the Frenzy and Rumble toys are two releases of the recently released Deluxe Rumble mold. Which one is red, and which one is blue? Only time will tell.

And finally, something from a bit out of left field: A new Encore release has been listed- A yellow remold of the Encore Devastator release, allegedly with a new headsculpt.

Do you have a link with pics for takaras foc colored Bruticus. I've been waiting to see these colors.

Hopefully takara & ehobby do various color variations with these FOC Bruticus toys. Like 1985 bruticus colors. 1992 operation combination colors.

Still individual Combaticons helps the mix and match that some people want to do...i'm surprised they didn't just put them in one boxset so they could pad the price out further.
LegendAntihero
The Japanese ones should be good for anyone who couldn't get a hold of the Comic Con Bruticus
Kilowog
So... Who you figure Wildrider will be a repaint of? Wheeljack?
Starscream Gaga
Perhaps they've dropped Smokescreen as the Knockout retool and decided to go with Wildrider instead?

Can someomne please miorror these Iacon pics to a more trusted site. because that Iacon site is full of adware pop ups viruses.

I think this planet Iacon facebook page & site might have some adware viruses on it. I went to the site months ago. then seconds later I get all these annoying pop ups popping up. things ran sluggish on my computer.

I think the Iacon site's pop ups adware viruses go on to your computer. directly after you've clicked on thumb nail pics to enlarge them. pop ups adware might also go on your computer, when you download & save the pics on to your computer hard drive.

I had to clear all my cookies. delete all my temp files. run Five different anti virus programs, then restart my computer. to get rid of all the tracking cookies & adware pop ups.

Yes,I have a anti virus program running all the time. I even went into my browser & blocked all pop ups.

Well, it is a Facebook page... If thats the cause for it, then blame Facebook. Planet Iacon just a FB page behind by some TF fans, using Facebook as a platform...

I think it's all the banners & hot links the Iacon facebook page has. that is causing all the adware pop ups viruses & tracking cookies.

Hey guys, I only saw the words as well and no pictures on planet Iacon Facebook yet and I tried searching the Takara Tomy website but I can't seem to locate them, will post pictures when I can locate or if anyone can find the pictures, please feel free to add on to the thread. But rest assured these info are authentic as these items are actually being put up for preorder already in my country.

Personally, I am very much excited to see how the colours are like for the FOC combaticons as well cos' I didn't have a chance to get the SDCC version.
Ravenxl7
I don't think there are any pictures out there yet, just the listings themselves.

I'm not at all surprised to see Takara doing both Rumble and Frenzy at the same time. Should be interesting to see what mold they've chosen for Wildrider. Would be interesting if this WR turned out to be the repaint/retool of Knock Out, rather than Smokescreen. Which would leave open the possibility of Smokescreen getting his own mold (though honestly, I wouldn't mind him being made from Knock Out....just as long as Hasbro released him too).
TCracker
Maybe Wildrider is a retool or repaint of the Dead End mOld (technically Wheeljack mold)?
PoweredConvoy
The Devastator and Rumble (to the likely blue Frenzy) are interesting.

Randy
Fort Max
Going to be waiting with baited breath to see their combaticions, couldn't get an SDCC set and have since gone for TTs Jazz and Prime so might end up collecting all my FoC figures from TTs releases.
Daimao
if all the combaticons are around $40 a piece thats still $200 for a complete Bruticus, not much better than SDCC prices.
Robogeek28
Rumble AND Frenzy?

Oh dear.
Soundwinder
Man, I bet TT's Vortex is going to be about twice the price of the rest.

I really want to see their Bruticus, but I definitely won't be getting it.

On the other hand, I might get their Rumble, depending on the colors, mold, and Micron. If it has a good looking Micron, new head, and doesn't look terrible with one weapon (pretty sure he'll look even worse than Ironhide with just one Piledriver) and, of course, is red, I might get him rather than wait on Hasbro to bring a Frenzy here. God knows they've had enough trouble with that.
Bass X0
Which is the more iconic G2 Devastator? Orange or yellow?
Autobot_Jacer
Sounds really interesting. I can't wait for pictures

Yellow. By a ridiculously huge margin.

Then get a BETTER anti-virus. Like Avast or Malwarebytes or something. Not to mention if you have FIVE anti-virus programs installed on your computer running at the same time, I think that's more related to your computer speed issues than the actual facebook page, which I just went to and didn't experience any problems whatsoever. There's also no pics of the new listings, either.

It will drop the price of the SDCC set by a bit, though, since if the TT releases are close enough to be game accurate, then all the SDCC set has going for it is the SDCC exclusivity and the nice box.

Yellow, but it would be REALLY nice if homage was paid to the orange version by having both colors represented in the new G2 Devy, maybe just as highlights on the yellow or something?
LCDR Blindside
Huh, people were right. TT is making game-accurate Combaticons.

Not much better than the SDCC price, but whatcha gonna do.
StayingInTheBox
Game accurate Combaticons? Yellow Devastator? Color me interested
Prowl 2009
Intrigued to see the paint work on the Combaticons and this new Encore Devy...

G2 Devastator with a NEW HEAD? Say whaaaaaat?

My body is ready.

Whelp, saves me the trouble hunting down the SDCC Combaticon set. Hopefully the brittleness issues will be solved with Takara's version.

Still getting Fruiticus and Dudeicus though before the year's up, but this is insanely good news.
Transbot90210
I checked the Planet Iacon page on FB and saw no pictures, Are there pictures of the TT Combaticons?
igniz1984
If takara's foc optimus and jazz are any indication of the metallic paints apps that will be used, they are going to look amazing! screw bruticus, they may be nice enough to just keep displayed in individual bot modes.
MechaV
Dang man, we might get a full TFP Stunticon team. Just need two more.

TFCC, I'm looking at you.
OwlLasers
Hmm. I'd rather see Wildrider as another Wheeljack repaint than as a Knockout repaint. The Knockout mold is kind of awful, imo.
General Tekno
Cool indeed. Looks like I'll be grabbing yet another Bruticus deco.

I had a feeling they'd do this, though I still have no regrets getting the SDCC one.

Also guessing that Wildrider is Wheeljack with the new head, in black.
StayingInTheBox
I'm actually excited for the FOC Combaticons. If it's anything similar to the SDCC ones I expect both a lot of rage and happiness.
CybertronStreak
dang I was hoping for G1 color FOC Bruticus
Optimus Prime
Can't wait to see their version of Bruticus. It'll probably be ridiculously expensive, but might be worth it if it looks good enough.

Radicons has proven that Prime Wheeljack is an incredibly versatile mold and I look forward to many many re-uses of it.

As we are slowly getting the Stunticons as Prime toys (Breakdown, Dead End, and now Wildrider) I sincerely hope that Dead End is a separate mold from Wildrider. Even though a repaint/slight retool probably makes more sense from a resource perspective, I'd still like WR to be a different mold, even if that mold is the KO mold re purposed as WR. Actually the KO mold makes great sense given how WR looked in the G1 toon, but if he's a new mold obviously I'm fine with that too.

Frenzy as a repaint of Rumble is an obvious slam dunk (and we've already seen that head mold on Rumble's instruction sheet), but I wonder what his accessory will be? More pile drivers? I kinda hope not.

Personally though... *hands clasped in supplicating prayer*... I'm waiting for news that Takara is doing the remaining FOC Dinobots. Heck, I'll even take Prime-itized Dinobots!
Transmetal
I love me some Encore but I don't do G2 or Japanese versions, just G1 but i know they gotta milk that mold some more.
General Tekno
You know, here's an interesting question re: the Bruticus - will they be homaging Onslaught's standalone colors, or will it be colored like the Bruticus torso?

Not to taper your enthusiasm but... 2/3 of those Stunticons really are "In name only." Breakdown's only real resemblance to G1 BD is that he has a red face, and DE's only similarity is that they're both cars...
Enigma2K2
Encore yellow Devastator, huh? No surprise there. But I question the new head mold rumor. Encore Devs was supposed to have more show accurate colors, and speaking for myself, mine didn't. Of course I got over the disappointment quickly, seeing as how I just got a brand new Devastator and all...

What? you mean Armada Wheeljack wasn't really Wheeljack?!

This is Arms Micron. They'll have Microns instead of weapons.

Personally, I'd love to have SG Constructicons (in Ratchet's colors).

Japanese G1 is still G1, but I understand what you mean.

Ideally he'll be Onslaught standalone colors with some silver highlights on his chest to mimic Bruticus' chest armor.

I don't feel bad getting the SDCC version of the Combaticons instead of waiting for the upcoming Takara releases, but then again I got it AT SDCC instead of trying to crash the website or buying it off of the secondary market, so that's easy for me to say. For those that missed out or don't want to pay over $200 for a set, this works out well.

I'm very curious to see this Encore yellow/G2 Devs. New head or no, this will be just the second G2 reissue, and the first in the Encore line. I'm curious if this is just a one-off because they want to use the Constructicon molds at least one more time and they went with G2 instead of Diaclone, or if this opens the door for more G2 reissues of at least the G1-originating toys (any of Optimus, Sideswipe, Jazz, Starscream, Ramjet, Dinobots, Combaticons and particularly the Aerialbots and even the canceled Protectobots and Stunticons).

I'm also curious if this is a positive sign of a possible (though at this point, probably exclusive...hello eHobby) release of the Constructicons in their Diaclone decos, since they're willing to go back to the Constructicon molds so soon.

I wouldn't anticipate that, but we'll find out for sure in a month or so when the magazine scans for the November Takara releases start popping up online.

I'd be hesitant to embrace that, but I'd be at least curious to see how it would look as a mockup.
Cadbane
I need to see the photos of Bruticus so bad!
Encore Devastator? tempting!
Anguirus
New head on Devastator? If it's a movie-accurate head, even with the G2 colors it's intriguing. Always liked those colors anyway.

That could look really, really good.

Bruticus is also kind of nice. At least overseas they get accurate colors at retail, amirite?

How much altogether would the combaticons cost? Never bought from japan before..

Interesting. I have G2 Bruti preordered on BBTS but am curious how Takara will handle their versions.

I love the Wheeljack mold so I wouldn't mind if Wildrider did turn out to be a redeco of him. I'd rather they use a new mold though to keep things fresh and varied. That would just leave Dragstrip and Motormaster (though Dead End isn't too geewun with all his garish Jamaican flag colors XD).
