Fan-favorite TakaraTomy employee Hisashi Yuki has just posted on his Twitter some new images of a few upcoming Transformers Adventure released, namely TAV15 Lockdown, TAV16 Bombshell, and TAV17 Shrapnel – including an awesome pic of an entire swarm of Insecticons!
You can check it all out after the jump.
Update: Another image of the Insecticon swarm has surfaced, but this time it comes from another source… the legendary Shogo Hasui! Yes indeed, it appears the famed Takara Masterpiece designer has returned to Twitter after a long hiatus. What this could mean is anyone’s guess, but regardless it’s still cool to see him posting again.

I got the Japanese Bombshell in the mail today. While the color scheme is indeed awesome and more show-accurate than Hasbro's, the Japanese one not only has the stupid sticker, but a circular indentation has been added to the mold to house the sticker. So even if I did remove the sticker, there'd be this stupid circle on his chest.

Does anyone else absolutely love the packaging and art on these guys? I love those anime-style Insecticon drawings, and the Lockdown box is beautiful just because I never expected to see TFA art on a retail release again.

Good point, Thundercracker and non gold Hydrodive Bumblebee would be amazing.
I also want a deluxe Battle Begins Optimus Prime in the Wingblade Armour like Hasbro was going to do.
Pravus Prime
I can't say I'd pass on a nice Blackout redeco, I'd vastly prefer Thundercracker or a non-gold hydrodive Bumblebee.

Damn, dat's a lot o' bugs!
Lockdown looks great. Never bought the TFA Lockdown figure but I love his ROTF figure.

That Armybuilding!
I really hope we get a Blackout in this line.

Looking foward to being able to pick Skrapnel and Bombshell up some rime in the future…
Rakzo
For me it does, getting Transformers stickers is pretty hard here in Peru and I have to import pretty much everything. Even a little symbol costs.
So Takara screwing-up this affects my preference for the figure.
Plus, tampographed symbols will always looks better than simple stickers.
Laser_Optimus
I was wondering that too, but I figure it's because Animated fits in better with the RID15 molds aesthetically than the RTS version would have. I love the idea of Lockdown's original design in movie colors so I might pick this guy up.
Rakzo
If you're going that route then you can also easily say that you can get the Reprolabels set for Skrapnel and Bombshell to make their colors look more coherent.
It's a flawed logic and doesn't excuse Takara's poor choice for the designs.
Rakzo
Lockdown, I just don't understand why painting him in those colors.
That Bombshell still looks ugly as hell and yes, you might be able to peel off the sticker from Shrapnel but that means he doesn't have a Decepticon symbol either.
The designs for these figures are all over the place.

uhh dude, relax.. it peels right off.. sheesh!
artiepants
i wonder why they'd release this mold instead of the far-superior RTS version?
Megatron118
Lockdown looks nice. Don't know if I can drop the money for it, though.
BattleUpSaber
I'm not a fan of Lockdown being the character with a giant Decepticon symbol, but looks good nonetheless.
Definitely sticking with Hasbro for the Insecticons.
deliciouspeter
Lockdown in the packaging he deserves. Beautiful.
FruitBuyer
It's just because he's in robot-mode instead of vehicle mode.
ultramagnus1
Lockdown looks good.
May have to get this….
you know just because…….
