MP-11S Sunstorm and Encore 23 Sixshot?

I could totally believe the next MP after another Starscream being another seeker.

It's beyond a joke now tbh if it does end up being true.

I hope this is true. I can redeem myself from trading away my Sixshot as a kid for some magic beans. (Not literally)

Well if they *are* trying to curtail igear, i guess there's some sense to it.

It might also tie into what we've just heard about schedules being reshuffled?

Since it means new wing molds for each one...... i'd lean towards probably not.

But the real reason is i bought the igear ones, and don't want to think about coughing up again.

Why? They may have had them for a while and you can bet the Takara versions will cost more.

Releasing Sunstorm after Starscream (if they were going to do one) makes the most sense as people are more likely to buy him if he comes before Thundercracker and Skywarp. As people MAY be less likely to spring for a 4th version of the newly updated mold IF they already have the original trio.

I find this entire thing doubtful though, as he's coming out a MONTH [Starscream was pushed to April 1st or 2nd] after the previous MP?

whilst the MP seeker has been done to death i would really like a sunstorm. and a sixshot is going to be epic. so hope these rumours are true!

There is a possibility that Sunstorm is an Asia only release like the Alternity Goldbug and Dai Atlas were.

Read this this morning and am very excited for both, especially Sixshot.

After I just get a Sixshot this pops up.. Maybe I should think real hard about what I want next and then wait for the announcement =)

i woulda bought a sunstorm down the road after thundercracker and skywarp, if this is true think ill pass and wait untill its confirmed the other seekers are coming.

Well, if they're using the new seeker mold for Sunstorm, I'll end up getting it. Sunstorm is my second favorite seeker.

Following the pattern Takara has been using, wouldn't a Sunstorm repaint be a different number, like MP12, instead of a letter tacked on? All the other figures with a letter added were the same character (Ghost Starscream, Dead Optimus, King Grimlock).
The only possible exception is MP-09B and MP-01B (I'm not sure if they are supposed to be the same Rodimus and Optimus).
I would assume if they followed the same pattern, MP-11S would be a different Starscream.

Any reissue of Sixshot will be great. Time to take down the Autobots one by one. A death of Ultra Magnus again? I would definitely re-create that scene.

Black Rodimus & Convoy Black were different characters.

I think the rules have changed regarding Masterpiece numbering starting with MP-11.

I'm most excited by the announcement of Sixshot! I don't know what the price will be but since I'd been thinking of plunking down $200+ for a MISB version of the '04 reissue, getting a shot at a (somewhat) cheaper version is music to my ears.

If you have an extra $10K lying around, a black Lucky Draw is on eBay right now.

That's what I've been wondering too. It defies Takara's previous naming conventions considering Skywarp and Thundercracker received separate numbering for their previous releases and not sub-numbering (MP-03S, MP-03T). IF this is true with Sunstorm, why change now? In the end it's not a big deal as long as we get one (I've wanted an MP Sunstorm and Coneheads from Takara since I'd prefer a legit one to iGear's stuff) but I find the choice of MP-11S for Sunstorm a little weird unless it is going to be an exclusive of some kind and not a mass release.

So glad to here about another six shot was starting to look for one now I will just wait for this one and save money

Well, at least Sunstorm is a character I don't have yet. But I still doubt I'll be getting yet another MP seeker. I've already got two and that's plenty. Half the time I can't find space to display Skywarp.

I'm a little surprised by su sunstorm, and wish I found out sooner about Sixshot. I just bought a G1 Sixshot.

Sweet. I wanted a Shiny new sixshot. my vintage one has a few problems. Like no stickers and some yellowing.

No interest in sunstorm really. Sure its creamsicle orange, but the uncertainty of what sunstorm is just makes him seem like a fan character. Clone of Starscream, super powerful. Merged with Starscream at some point. Obsessed with showing off how awesome he is.

Really not very likeable.

I guess they use the brave mold to make this sixshot. And that's why takara has'nt reissued other Headmasters or Masterforce era bots yet.

This is very positive news. Now fans can argue over picking up Terminus Hexatron or the Sixshot reissue.

meh already have the igear sunstorm. Plus I can imagine takara's sunstorm will be more expensive

Twincast, Soundblaster, Sixshot?

Hey Takara, how about re-releasing soemthing you haven't done already for the people who've been buying your G1 reissues for the last ten years.

I don't mind them reissuing those for peeps who missed them the first time, but at least stick some new ones in between. Especially ANYTHING from Headmasters.

Or Blurr and Artfire that they didn't do from the TFC collection, despite doing Kup/ Hot Rod and Ricochet. Or what about Cyclonus or Scourge or Scorponok FFS!

I'm picking up Encore Twincast as I don't care for Flipsides and want Stripes, but I'll be passing on the other Encores. Looks like a year of nothjing coming out I want from Takara.

Really hope I'm wrong and this is an Asia reissuse ala Rodimus Prime and SIdeswipe.

I want some new old stuff from Takara.

Yeah, can't wait for the arguments on that one, maybe the board split will help to tone it down. I hope it's obvious which threads I'll need to avoid

Did the previous reissue use the Brave mold? I hadn't been aware of any differences between the '04 reissue and the original release.

As for Hexatron...hopefully for those that have been waiting a preorder on that thing will go up eventually. I'd honestly forgotten about that and HoS Shockwave for a while since preorders are taking a long time to go up.

sixshots good news for those wanting him, the original reissue was amazing, hopefully the quality of an encore version isnt weaker.

Have an original Sixshot, he's seen some years and could be cleaned up a bit, along with needing a new pair of guns, but his chrome is still intact so I don't need to get a new one.

MP-11s Sunstorm intrests me, though.

my original sixshot is pretty much still mint-ish. joints are tight, color is fine...and I DID play with it alot as a kid too. I'm thinking MP-11S will not be sunstorm but rather somethign else....either starscream with a different deco or skywarp. i'm not rebuying all the seekers, i'm fine with the king seeker (starscream) being different and better than the rest.

A major "underwhelmed" for the Seeker repaints. We all knew it was coming, of course, but still...meh. Easy pass at least...Hastak is making it easy for me to save money this year.

Sunstorm = FAIL.

I love how sales for future MP lines will be based on yet another recolor of a seeker mold. Hopefully they don't use this gage future sales. In either case, we'll be screwed as fans of the MP line.

Here are our options, it fails and Takara deems MP figures as a waist. It succeeds and 1 of the two MP figures we get per year is some other dumb recolor of a seeker mold. I could see it now, the generic MP Seeker, the Rainmakers, and so on.

As for Reissues, that is ALWAYS a good thing.

Definitely in the market for Sixshot. I've been wanting this figure for a long time now. I just haven't found the right the deal and here it is...minty minty..

cool for those it pertains to, but ive never been one for MP or re-issues. Gonna wait for Hexa-whatever his name is for my Sixshot.

Why not give us a Greatshot instead? All this does is screw over anyone who spent a mint on the existing Sixshot reissue. I got mine relatively cheap, so I don't really care, but it still seems like they're oblivious to what diehard collectors (i.e. the ones who buy these types of things) really want.

I can dig it, I love Sunstorm and always kinda regretted not picking up the early 00s Sixshot reissue when he was cheap (i remember one of the stores he got down to like $45 at some point)

Sixshots, Greatshots, and Shadowmaru are basically the same family of molds.

Why not do both? Keep the die-hards who have been buying all their reissues happy and the people who still want it?

Same with Twincast and Soundblaster, why not stick Squawkbox and SlamDance in them, and get those colletcers who bought the first lot to bite all over again?

Takara seem a bit lazy with re-issues at the moment, unless it really is a take on the KO people move.

In which case can someone make a KO Fort max. Pretty please?

Hopefully a new Thundercracker and Skywarp will come eventually, not really excited at all for Sunstorm.
