CM’s Corp, who I personally better know for their expensive and fragile Brave Gokin Gaogaigar figures, have recently dropped a hint at Wonderfest that they will be making figures of Masterforce’s Minerva (here called Minelba) and Ginrai as a part of their Guttu Kurru line. They will be the human characters in their powersuits rather than the robots themselves.
These aren’t third party garage kit items – CMs Corp will have licensed these from Takara-Tomy. Given CMs tends to specialise in high-end, collector products, expect these to be expensive when they are released.

Please don't post in threads so old, and this is not the area to ask for deals. Read the rules.

Rise from your grave! Anyone have Minerva they wanna get rid of
QuinJester
Depressingly true.
boxorak
Your second point kind of loses its weight IMO due to the fact that most, if not all, imported figures, are expensive.
Still, I know what you're saying, but who knows? Maybe these figures will be decent.
QuinJester
I'm just going by what CM's has said themselves in the past in press releases >.<
They're obviously going for a pun effect. Maybe the name isn't as bad as I thought.
Gaokaiser
Well, no, it's "グッとくる/Goo-tto Kuru", means "impressed" "admire".
SydneyY
Haha I didn't think of the pun – so it has double meaning! Thank you for that
Not buying though, I am not a CM's fan thanks to their Votoms figures…..

"Gutto Kuru" is actually very easy to translate, as it's literally "Good Cool". Yes, they've engrished the name and put it as the actual, printed name of the line. Possibly the worst name for a toyline imaginable? Maybe.
In general, if their past figures are any indication, these toys will be A) not very good, B) very expensive, and C) have a collection of very awkward looking faces that range from "I'M SO EXCITED BECAUSE I'VE HAD STEROIDS INJECTED STRAIGHT INTO MY FACE" and "I'm opening my mouth because it supposedly looks sexy, or something".
SydneyY
These figures seem to be a part of "gutto-kuru Figure Collection" series. It is hard to translate, but it's like something makes you gasp/gulp. True to the expression, the lineup so far is entirely anime-girls.

(I've picked the ones that aren't too loli or risqué looking )
Looks like they come with some parts (mainly faces), about 20cm tall, and cost over 10,000 yen. Though there's no way to know if Ginrai and Minerva will be in the same style at this point.
Orodruin
Wow. I think the First/Second/Third party terminology smackdown in more interesting than the news here.
As to the news- neat, but I'll reserve excitement for better pics.
Girl Pants
Might be cool.
All the same, I'd rather a better articulated G1-compatible Ginrai/Hi-Q and Minerva/Nightbeat. People like Perfect Effect can do small-scale pretty well, so I think it could happen.
The_Black_Sheep
So they're just gonna be plain old figurines of their human characters? Yeah, I'm pretty sure I can live without them.

hot damn i want these
where's my lander!

Right, an article, which LINKS TO THE EARLIER ONE YOU POSTED. Which people are complaining about ANYTHING being linked to it on the talk page because it's inaccurate.
In fact, the only uses of the word "party" in the article USED AS A SOURCE for Rare being "second party" refers to them as both third party and first party:
Your very source calls Rare a first-party, and never a second party. The source on the Wikipedia was used to incorrectly to source information that doesn't exist in that article.
Like I said, I don't doubt for a second that the term is used in this manner. The fact remains is that such use is a misnomer, improper, and is little more than a bad habit that has spread. Probably due to that fact that many game journalists started off as teenage gamers with zero journalistic background. (Not an insult at all, but its true.)
Otherwise, we will have to agree to disagree. We should probably end this since it's throwing the thread way off topic.

What I was trying to say (the site crashing didn't help), was that there are 2 ways 2nd party can be interpreted.
In a discussion of manufacturers, 2nd party has a different meaning than it does in a discussion of the market place in general. The Context of the discussion is important.
Also, 2nd Party in reference to Rare is also on Rare's Wiki page, which has no makings for sources needed nor deletion:
In fact, the fact that Rareware was a 2nd Party actually has a source it links to on IGN. The footnote links to IGN, the words themselves link to what I quoted.
What I was replying to was this (the site crashed for about an hour before I could post again, so I didn't spend the time searching for the quote):
He was talking about 2nd Party ITEMS. You are talking about the Parties in a transaction. The 2 of you are talking about 2 different things, but using the same words.
& actually, if incorrect usage gets popular enough, it does become acceptable usage. Look at lol being added to the Oxford Dictionary.
GogDog
Well..
I wouldn't want to quote an article that is tagged for deletion as a source.
In all business, a party has always been a consumer. Any trend otherwise is a bad habit that has caught on. I don't doubt for a second that this is a commonly used term. But it's a misnomer and it's use is not considered proper.
*Edit*
This is taken from the talk page on the article you linked to:
(Just pointing out that even on the unsourced article, it has been heavily debated that this is an incorrect use of the term)

Let me try this again (site crashed last time).
I'm going to try to explain the Party #s via a concept most of us here should know: VIDEO GAMES! I'll use Nintendo, as they have examples of each.
Now, go back to Rare. When Microsoft bought them, they bought them out completely, so MS owns Rare… which means Rare is MS, so Rare is now a 1st Party Deveoloper for MS.
A 2nd Party is a 3rd Party dedicated to the 1st Party, basically.
& a 3rd Party is someone other than the owner making something, sanctioned or not.
This is how the Party designations work for manufacturing too.
I've always assumed Second Party to refer to the buyers too, but it depends on the context. The confusion comes from leaving a word out: manufacturer.
1st Party Manufacturer, 2nd Party Manufacturer, 3rd Party Manufacturer

^Cool! thanks for the details, Syd.
Detachable helmets with regular human heads/visors and some spare parts would be nice. Any details on that mentioned? thanks!
MegaMoonMan
Humans? Blech.

This. Depends on pricing.
