Thanks to TFW2005 member BattleUpSaber we have a picture posted on Transformers artist Hayato Sakamoto’s Twitter account of what is early concept art of the Decepticon Liokaiser from Transformers: Victory.
A robot based on this design appears in IDW Publishing’s comic More Than Meets The Eye # 39: The Permanent Revolution.
What do you think of this design? Feel free to let us know on the boards!

Heck, I'm still hoping for Heatrock and Skyfeather for the Protectobots! Sounds like something the club could do (again, we need Nosecone!)
Anywho, back on topic… I think this Liokaiser design was made more like Road Ceasar but somewhere along the line they decided to make them a little more traditional. I'm glad we got what we got.

It shouldn't be a sin at all….it should be the natural order of things.

Alpha Bravo as never an Aerialbot … until Combiner Wars.
Powerglide was never an Aerialbot … until Combiner Wars.
Airazor was never an Aerialbot … until Universe.
Barrel Roll was never an Aerialbot … until IDW.
My point is that things change. G1 started it all, but why is it a sin to build on it?
Automorpher
No.
Alpha Bravo was never an Aerialbot…Nor was he part of Superion. (In G1 universe that is)
But all 7 of those Destrons are official Breastforce members.
That's my point.
SG Roadbuster
one addendum i have for this. Jarugar could then be retooled to make Beachcomber.
also arms microns as Breast beasts
IaconStargazer
Not a bad design in my opinion, but the six-bot configuration probably was an improvement.
Does anyone know if Road Caesar's design was derived from this, or if maybe the creative team originally wanted the two combiners to mirror each other as trio-based gestalts?
Autovolt 127
That sounds great to me.
I don't care if its accurate. Any update will do for me.

I would absolutely want a fully featured new mold Liokaiser. I'm 99% convinced it will never happen from Hasbro/Tomy. I'd be totally content with getting those characters, even if they're retooled existing figures, and even if only 5 of them can combine at a time or one of them has to be a legends figure.
Sometimes you have to accept that there are budget limitations to modern figures. Reminding and repainting is just part of the game. Like I said, I'd much rather have a combiner wars Liokaiser than no Liokaiser at all. You don't have to buy this hypothetical figure. Vote with your dollar. I will too.
Exactly.
Having said that, if a 3P does Liokaiser (which FP is rumored to be working on), I'd expect that to be fully featured and more "correct" because they won't have the budget limits that Hasbro has. Sure, he'll cost over $500, but he'll be awesome.
WishfulThinking
So, you're voting "if it's not exactly like the original, I don't want it". Fair enough.
In the meantime, some of us will vote "something close is better than nothing at all".
Javier
For those wondering, his appearance in MTMTE #39.

Not a fan of this design. Really glad we ended up getting the one we did in the end.

Why? Do you like wasting money? Are we that desperate just to have things that we will take anything? If it isn't 6 members, it isn't Liokaiser. If there aren't animal partners, it isn't the Breastforce. Pretty simple concept. There are plenty of 5-member combiners and the line has more than enough remolding as it is. We haven't even started in on repaints like G2 Superion and Valdigus and Guard City.
What makes Liokaiser popular is how he is different, not just that he is another god damn combiner.
If you are honestly that interested in having something, anything, I will sell you an empty shoe box that I wrote "LiOkAISer" on in green, pink, blue, gold, black, and purple magic marker. I will only charge you $15. Sure, it isn't G1 Liokaiser, but who cares, it is something Liokaiser you can display and it comes at a much better price than 3rd party.
I promise not to take a dump in the box.
Obviously I am kidding, but I feel like I have to make this point more and more as some of us clearly have more money than we know what to do with. If you stop buying shoehorned, half-assed garbage, we will stop getting it.

The same way Superion has Alpha Bravo AND Slingshot. Extra replacement dude.
The middle guy has to be the biggun. Retooling to make Liokaiser is the only way he's ever going to happen. I'd rather have him made of retools than not made at all. He's more like a Botcon or JPN exclusive though. I don't see him being released normally by Hasbro.
I'm sure when a 3P finally gets around to him, he'll have all his features, and I'll buy that too. But for Combiner Wars? I'll settle for retools even if they don't have their partners.

I think it won't be long before we see 3rd parties tackling Liokaiser, Road Caesar, Raiden, Landcross, etc. The other combiners, if you will. We already know of a Dinoking.
NegatronDave
This would be a major disappointment to me. I mean, if Leozack uses the Silverbolt mold then not only would he be too large compared to the other members but he would also make up the entire body, leaving no room for Jargua.
Devastator was the only other combiner they made with 6 main members and they made new molds for them all. I don't see them doing that for Liokaiser nor do I see them retooling the current line up.
Long story short, I don't see them making Liokaiser, and if they do it won't resemble the g1 layout nor will it have the breastforce gimmick.
Afterburner
Do you mean beast helmets? They all have beast helmets. This is inspired by the toys (which did not get colored in).
unicronic
I always like LeoZack in the show as he had a best helm around his face for no reason whatsoever.
BattleUpSaber
Not bad, but how's this:
Leozack- Silverbolt (Heavy retool)
As an individual I feel Leozack works better from Air Raid since they have the same jet mode and wing positions in bot mode. However to be Liokaiser's torso he has to be made from Silverbolt.
Deathcobra-Alpha Bravo
Not like we have other options for CW Helicopters . This also fulfils Hasbro's criteria of having a new member in each group, so it all works out.
Gaihawk- Skydive
Skydive's Broad shoulders and jet design fits Gaihawk better.
Killbison- Brawl(hypothetical)
Speaks for itself, really.
Drillhorn- Nosecone(hypothetical)
Ain't it obvious?
Legends Targetmaster Jarugar- new mold
This works for several reasons. Jarugar formed Liokaiser's waist/crotch so removing him would affect Liokaiser's appearance the least. Also, in the original toy and cartoon Liokaiser's gun was formed from Jarugar's rockets and Killbison's tank barrels, so having Jarugar become the weapon is also staying at least partly true to the original.
Next, we cue fan rage over Deathcobra replacing Hellbat, even though he was in Victory and was supposed to have done so even back then, thus making him less rage inducing than AB or Offroad or Rook. But the " Hasblow suks" comments persist anyways.
Then about 3 months later Hasbro releases:
Hellbat – Firefly
Hellbat ' s head and jet mode already look like Firefly ' s so this would probably do the job.
Meanwhile Takara reveals their Unite Warriors Liokaiser giftset (with Hellbat), winning over the fans who immediately change their pre orders because "Hasblow suks lolol"
Now in a perfect world we'd have a Titan Liokaiser with well-articulated, G1-styled Voyager sized components that was also to scale with MP Star Saber, but it's not so…
Automorpher
My question is:
Just HOW to get a Liokaiser up using your configuration?
Seeing we've 1X Voyager & 6X Deluxe pieces in that sense.
guarayakha
Made sense. The Brainmasters vs the Brestforce, Multiforce vs DinoSquad.
