Kabaya Candy Transformers Wave 2

Here's another cool set of items coming down the pipeline - remember the Kabaya Candy Transformers released last year, in an assortment of Generation 1 Convoy, Star Saber and Henkei Convoy? They were popular enough that Kabaya are making a second wave, as confirmed by this listing on a Rakutan Shop. The second assortment of Kabaya Candy Transformers will consist of Ultra Magnus (who appears to be based on his 6 inch Titanium design) Prowl and Jetfire, both of whom are based on their Henkei / Classics / Universe versions. Yes, that's seriously weird. It looks to have the same transformation, and even the chest sticker is copied from the Titanium G1 Ultra Magnus. It has the small red square, rather than the fully red chest of the toy/cartoon, and it has those yellow circles in exactly the same place.

I would have thought they'd have made it based on the G1 toy, like the little Convoy figure.

Looks cool though. I love these things.

They look great in the picture, but I wonder how they pull off Skyfire with limited number of the parts. I'll pick them up anyway though, kabaya is addictive.

The Magnus and Jetfire are pretty sweet looking, Prowl meh, kinda overshadowed by his buddies there.

If these are bigger than the WST scale, then the Wonderfest WST UM Trailer is way overpriced. These are in a class of their own then. Definitely worth it!

WOW! These are mighty immpressive....not exactly sure where you would get these though.

whoa, way fun. the first wave of these are awesome (except for star saber, wasn't a fan). these are definitely bigger than wst scale, about up to two or 3 times the size. optimus, first wave, stands about 3 inches, 3.5

the first wave of these were on preorder from bbts and tfsource, pretty cheap. but they came in a case so you'd have to make up a group order or sell em in the junkion

This will be the first UMagnus action figure ever to have the missile launchers mount on the side of the trailer just like the cartoon! I love it, it shall be mine.

Apart from a few minor quibbles I really enjoyed the last three kits. I'll definitely be picking these new ones up. It's not like they're particularly costly either.

the classic prime from last wave required some partforming, ultra magnus probably does too, looks like jet fire will have the jet nosecone detachable and maybe even the arms swing bars removed. if past experience holds true, these kabaya kits will be worth hundreds on ebay...if they're still in sealed package...in twenty years, when the gum long lost its flavor and had crumpled into dried powders.

I got Wave 1 from HLJ.com in a 12x box. I sold the duplicates and earned much more than what I spent

Wave 2 is not available for pre-order there yet.

Looks like a price point of around $30 for the set. I think that's just about acceptable to me, though I think that I might get two sets and sell it on to cover some of the shipping costs.
