The gigantic Generations TG-23 Metroplex has also been released in Japan! Takara-Tomy’s Metroplex features a second gun, additional paint applications, white ramps, a chromed face, and foil stickers – all of which together makes for a lavish and slavishly Generation 1 release styled release. Via TFYuki and Alfes2010 we can share some images with you highlighting the new detailing on the Metroplex robot mode, along with a comparison shot of Takara-Tomy, Hasbro and San Diego Comic Con Exclusive Metroplexes.

That means the SDCC version comes with sticker sheet wherelse Takara version already has pre painted but do not has sticker sheet??

But I don't understand I thought we weren't supposed to discuss the fact that Takara in general produces a superior product? I thought we were supposed to angrily shake our fists and demand that these are made in the same factory by the same people. To suggest Takara and Japanese releases are superior here is pure sacrilege. Prepare to be corrected by people who know less than you.

Actually, I prefer the white helipad for the following reason: Metroplex has two helipads, one on the backside of his left(?) arm and one in the chest. In city mode you can see the one on the arm sitting vertically next to the other helipad which looks kind of dumb – and with white helipads it is not as visible.
Also one thing I recently saw and found kind of neat: On the backside of his head are windows just like in the middle of his chest. In the TT version they are also colored giving the impression of a second raised command center in city/car mode.

Thanks for chiming in about the joints being tighter on the takara version. I without a doubt want my giant 24 inch tall figure to be able to support some poses other than just standing there.
Monari
I have it in hand now, and I'm happy to confirm that all of the joints on the Takara Metroplex are a lot more stiff than the Hasbro version. While the waist ratchets are still not tight enough to support the weight of the legs on their own, they don't flop back as quickly as the Hasbro one does. Also, the knees are much tighter and can hold their pose in carrier form while the Hasbro one can't.
Honestly, if it weren't for the white helipad and landing gear, I'd say this one would be 100% superior. My next goal is to try to swap out the white parts for the black parts on the Takara Metroplex. I should be able to do most of them with minimal effort.
Also the added paint apps look really nice in person, definitely improve the look of the figure. I'm very happy I got it.

IMO this version looks to be the best out of all the Metroplexes releases. I can't wait to pick mine up!
Galaxy Convoy
Well, I stand corrected then. I assumed, based on Hasbro revealing it first and TT being quiet about it for a good while, that this was wholely a Hasbro thing, and that TT is doing what Hasbro does with MPs.
Well that and the fig sporting several classic Hasbro design hallmarks.
But good, it being a joint venture bodes well for future Titans happening.

To answer your questions:
I'm not a store. I'm a human, just like everyone else that's posting here on TFW.
Wholesaler? Mm…Maybe. What do you call those people who are channel partners of Hasbro appointed distributors for said country?
If both the sales thread & feedback thread ain't proof enough to you, I dunno what else is.
Like I'd said, I'm not even begging you to believe me here but boys whom knows me knows best.
Its Automorpher.
Auto Morph is another fellow Boardie whom I know since we, too, sold him something which he's been looking for all the while but without success.
There was no arrogance coming from me. I was only sharing that you paid too much for your order, that's all. (Seeing that shipping this over to US ain't even gonna cost USD $300 in all.)
And its my opinion, you don't have to agree with it.
Its not Gospel.
Dark Skull
Well…..if anything they still one upped Hasbro. No assembly required

I'm hoping some 3rd party gives us a Sixgun. The big red one he comes with is ok but not spectacular enough to make me need two. Forgot to mention in my last post the two things that ultimately put me off TT's version – Chrome face and white helipad.
Angelwave
Now see….I wasn't actually directing that at you specifically…more than I was at the thread in general. To be honest I don't care what anyone does with their money…as it is their money. That's why I think these arguments are ridiculous when people are criticizing others purchases.
But whatever…………..

The figure has a good amount of new paints apps, but they do include an optional sticker sheet. Everything in that gallery posted above are paint apps no stickers were added yet.
Valkysas
Sticker sheet and paint apps.
Mechafire
So wait, does this thing have stickers or are they paint apps?
Or are the stickers just already applied out of the box… ?

I remember someone bitching about how the cardboard tray of the hasbro version was so terrible, and that the takara one would have a vastly superior styrofoam tray, because of course, Takara Tomy is perfect.
So much for that.

Damn…AE don't ship on the weekends :/

Luckily, it makes almost no difference for me – I have to import either. And after everything is factored in, TG-23-san comes in at just 30 Euros more then his US counterpart. And since I would have definitely bought a second gun for Hasbro Metroplex, once it became available, I would have actually paid more for him. Also, I quite like the bigger box for if I ever have to put him in store.
OptimusTimelord
Yup that makes total sense, the Japanese version speaks English while we in England get nothing but crappy sound FX! Well played Hasbro UK!
I like some of what they did with the deco (particularly the repair bay parts on the legs being white instead of black), and the extra paint apps are a nice touch, but really it was a lot less hassle to just buy off the shelf. I've already sprayed his head and thighs silver and plan on trying to replicate TT's paint apps…
