starscreams paint job still looks rather dull compared to the initial reveal pics. Still on the fence about purchasing him.

So Sunstorm is painted with a gradient? The pics show the same effect in both alt and bot mode that his feet are yellowish but upper body is more a sunburnt colour.

Lets see..... then Acid Storm and what's the other storm that these trio had a 5 seconds of fame?

No new molds until Optimus and Starscream gets another new complete mold, followed by more repaints! This trend is fuckin killin me man!

3rd party to the rescue

Since I have the US MP Starscream with coronation kit, I was never very tempted by MP-10, but both my wife and I want an MP-11.

You're mistaken, Sunstorm isn't one of those 'Rainmakers' he appeared in the first episode of G1.

The gray looks a bit lighter, but that may be the lighting.

I was gonna ask the same thing? Is this lighting or the actual paint app? I'm not a big fan of the gradient thing going on. I rather it be all orange and the flames do look a little strange altho I can live with that.

Nope, as PoweredConvoy stated, it was just some fully yellowed Seeker. According to Hasbro he was the yellow seeker we see in MTMTE Pt. 1 that is with the first Decepticons that Wheeljack and Bumblebee encountered.

Good to see them finally release the mold in these colors. I just wonder what sort of premium it would have on it.

This makes me want to sell my iGear Sunstorm......

I'm tempted to bring my Seeker collection up to 7...

Hmm. Not sure what to say about that sunstorm except that Hasbro should stop including the same accessories with every repaint, makes zero sense on sunstorm.
What they can do for me is g'head an release mp10 in the US though ....

Starscream I'm getting. Not sure if I'll keep him: he has to be better than what iGear has done with the seekers and if not...


As for Sunstorm, I already have the iGear version and I love the iGear version (great improvements on the mold, good colors and a good price). Not sure if Taktomy can release a version good enough to make me interested. Current pictures sure ain't doing it. Maybe if he came with something different than the coronation set (which doesn't fit him).

We'll have to see...

As sunstorms an asia exclusive i'm glad i dont want him, looks decent tho. Cant wait to receive starscream tho he's gonna look great with FT02 when i get it.

MP-11 is no better than the US release of MP Starscream... The legs look better but I prefer the weathering on the US version.

MP-11S looks like an iGear item. Now if they'd made him look like that awesome custom that was shown then I'd have bitten their hands off.

Now bring on the next new mould or, for the love of GOD, Ultra Magnus!!

That is the purpose of TakaraTomy when they issue Sunstorm,they wan to get rid of iGear.

Sunstorm needs white lower arms , orange biceps, orange upper legs and no flames...

Hell, coloring is all wrong! Even on the guns!!!

I understand that. I guess I'll wait and see if there's more pics. I don't really care for the flames though. I also hope they're optional.

Ugh... Sunstorm is all kinds of wrong, but I was never never interested in that 'character' anyway (if you can call him a character, given his screentime of about ten seconds).

Starscream though I might have considered getting if it impressed me enough. Still no evidence of any ankle joint? A face that looks more like Megatron blowing a kiss than Starscream? What looks like a couple of pieces of styrene stuck on the hips? Nope, I don't think I'll bother thanks all the same TT.

Just hope all this fiddling around with the MP line doesn't kill what used to be the best G1 TF line of modern times...

So they added the unneccessary coronation set which will of course drive the price up...nice.

Of course they will add the coronation set to Sunstorm,after all,these coronation set are just being reuse from MP11

Probably gang-moulded with new jet parts or something, that's why.

I agreed, the paint still looks dull. Regardless, can't wait to receive mine from CP. Sunstorm is a pass, I'll wait for SW and TC. Three seekers from the same MP11 mold are enough for me, no need a 4th one. Hm, looks like he doesn't come with a base like MP3 to display in jet mode. I guess it's probably too much for TTomy, ehhe.

It doesn't matter to me either way as I'm not getting him, but if I WAS planning on it then that added accessory, which has absolutely nothing to do with the character, would really bug the hell out of me... ah well.

Not even the slightest. I thought i might feel a tinge of regret about sunstorm but not anymore. I am getting MP11 as he will be my beefier looking coronation starscream but sunstorm is an easy pass. Especially at that price.

If TakTom is trying to put igear out of business, playing catch up isn't going to get it done.
