Generations Japan Soundblaster In-Hand Images

That's rare. The Hasbro one is actually MUCH better. The yellow has a much better look then the boring and bland purple.

hmm, while it looks decent, I was never really a fan of the deluxe version of FOC/ WFC Soundwave anyways.

Funny I think the Opposite. The Purple looks way better than the garish yellow. To each his own I guess.

Yeah, I wasn't feeling the yellow, which is why I preordered this version instead.

I do like it, though I wouldn't have minded them using a bit more gold to break things up a bit (like retaining the gold on his shins from the Hasbro versions).

Buzzsaw looks great in gold.

You mean voyager, right? The only deluxe Soundwave released was for WFC.

That black is awesome, its like blacker than black. Digging buzzsaws metallic ish gold too

It's a little confusing though now that TT is using the same line name as Hasbro... I guess you have to say Takara Generations or Japanese Generations.

Why Japanese versions are always cool!?

Hasbro loves to ruin their figures with bright mustard yellow paint apps. It's like they can't resist adding it to figures that it has no place belonging.

Soundblaster's paint apps were not mustard yellow, so I'm reckoning you're wrong here. The yellow also looks great to me and makes a far more dynamic looks as well as helps differentiate it to Soundwave.

TakTomy's paintjob seems good from the pics.

Yeah the takara version looks like it was supposed to be a arms micron, like there are supposed to be stickers for all the left off paint apps.

Hasbro superior takara inferior, even g1 had some kind of strip of color arounf the gun.

The gold can't really pick up well on the camera.

Look at things like the tires and other details. There is more paint in some areas and less in others. It's probably mostly a balance.

Also, Takara's might have a lot of the metallic parts actually painted, as they tend to do with their Generations. So in all likelihood Takara's probably has more paint - it's just not as apparent.

If I had the money and space I'd get them both. Can't really say who I like better. Takara's has an almost "dead" look to him which I really like. While on the other hand Hasbro's has more paint applications which distinguishes him from Soundwave.

I feel good for buying the Hasbro version.

Looks nice... nicer than the Hasbro version in my opinion. But not quite nice enough to justify importing at triple the price. I'm surprised to see the body is actually a similar (thought slightly darker) dark grey to the Hasbro release; based on earlier images I expected glossy jet black. I'm sort of glad it's not, that would be harder to resist. As it is, he looks a little drab.

I prefer the lack of yellow forearms and the painted legs on the Takara version, but I prefer the red cannon tip on the Hasbro version. So they sort of break even for me.

what the heck is this takara? sloppy paint applied all over the visor when its built for light piping? should have just left it as is.



That's my only nitpick though, the rest of the figure is great.

JAPAN I LOVE YOU! I can't wait to buy all your takara tomy stuff it's so pretty and glorious. Here take all my money! I really did not like the bright yellow on the hasbro version and a plain red tip on the battery cannon. As for any sloppy paint it's nothing I can't fix and it's hit or miss no matter who you buy from buy it in person is the best bet to make sure the paint is clean.

Something like this is probably only really noticeable on extreme close ups.

I like the Hasbro versions better. Especially Soundwave. He has a bunch of paint cues that reference the G1 version that, according to story, he'll end up being once they all get to Earth.

The Hasbro version just pops more.

Just when we are all liking the Takara's metallic parts which are painted,this type of issue happen,haha

Yeah, just wait until Takara does Blaster and then Twincast.

It's not like it's anything new though. I've noticed paint apps like that on my United Darkside Optimus. It's not really bad unless you really look at it closely.

We haven't had a Twincast in ages.

Really for Twincast you just needs to take Blaster's head repaint it blue and yellow and put in Soundwave's body.
