Takara-Tomy have added a page to their website for the next Japanese Hobby event coming up later this month, the New Generation Hobby Fair 2012 over 30 June - 1 July 2012. There's a whole bunch of great exclusive items on the cards for this event, but getting a couple of them might be tricky!

Two of the exclusive Arms Microns are "Shining" versions of Optimus Prime's O.P. and Bumblebee's B.2. These are the ones that are going to be hard to get since they are only available to kids who take Takara-Tomy's special "Arms Up Challenges".

Shining B.2. is available to kids who take part in the first challenge, which is to build B.2. from the kit. Shining O.P. is available to kids who take part in the second of the two challenges, which is to create their own "Arms Up" form for Optimus Prime. They can also get a Shining B.2. by taking part in this event.

Available to all attending the event ahead of their mass retail release are the first three of the Arms Micron Weapon series, Gabu, Baru (misspelled as Bogu on the page) and Dai. The three turn into individual weapons or combine into a larger sword weapon. Those who purchase all three can also claim Firebolt Yellow Clear version at the Transformers booth, Firebolt Yellow Clear version is a recolored version of Pinpoint from Power Core Combiners Leadfoot.

Many thanks to 2005 Boards member SydneyY for the translations!

I'm amazed at what a big part of the Japanese Prime toyline the Minicons\Microns are but they're not part of the American line at all.

Also: needs more Rhinohammer!

I'm getting the single pack ones, and I'm actually finding myself considering buying more of the Japanese releases because the two I've got, Skywarp and Terrorcon Cliffjumper, have really cool little figures which I think are a lot of fun. Skywarp's throwing star drill is just plain nuts!
Daimao
"dark matter cleaver". neat.

I also want that aligatror like thingy thing. He could make a good Gatoraider. The other one I don't even know what it is in the first place.

So is the sword trio exclusive to the con, or just an early release of the first three capsule toys? Are they the same?

they're just an early release but they aren't capsule toys. the only capsule microns are the set of 4 thats out now and the next set with megatron, arcee, bulkead and the turtle. all of the other single micron releases are not gashapon.

I've bought many many more Arms Micron figures than I intended too because of the included Micron figures. Even though they don't feel like "true" Microns to me they still have me hooked and importing just about every release!

Oh hell. I hope trying to find the clear B.2 and O.P. on eBay isn't a bitch to do.

I have all of the ones released so far outside of the capsule microns, which are in my PoL, and as Flywheels stated, though they don't share the same vibe as the Unicron Trilogy minicons, they're a hell of a lot of fun. The main Arms Micron figures may be a bit of a disappointment due to the stickers, they're not awful and the microns they come with are really sweet and make the purchases worthwhile for me.

Anybody knows if this "Shiny B.2 AM" is the same as what's being offered at Tokyo Toy Show?
Kantus Prime

As soon as I find out which one is Ratchet's, I'm getting four, so I can make that awesome giant windmill shuriken.
