Toys R Us GDO Asia Exclusive Deluxes Released at Canadian Retail

This evening we have some instore photos of the new Transformers GDO Asia Exclusive deluxe Transformers deliciously dangling from the pegs of a Canadian Toys R Us. 2005 Board member Saundowaivu has shared these photos with us and states that the new deluxes were found at a Toys R Us in Belleville, Ontario. Something interesting to note, is the North American release of these figures will come packged in vehicle mode, as opposed to the Asia release which featured the characters packaged in robot mode. Included in this wave of deluxes are; Springer, Cliffjumper, Wheelie and Swerve.

Get your hunting caps on Canadians! Hopefully, these will be showing up in Toys R Us stores in the states shortly.

Unknown at this time, the one who found them didn't buy any, but I'd imagine they'd be the same price as the FE's which were 16.99$

I just had to buy a Ratchet last night on ebay from a US seller for $7 more then it would cost in our stores. Wow Sorry about that! I assumed that you guys were getting lots of them. In passed months I was seeing many Ebay posts from the UK for Wave 2 and 3 figures. I guess the UK Ebay Scalpers are buying up what stock they can.

I already have Swerve and Cliffjumper. Past that, my MUST HAVES are the 3 Voyagers, though I'll probably grab Springer and Wheelie just because. Can't wait for them to show up in the US. Hopefully it's a better case ratio than Asia..

There's a surprise.

I highly doubt that the other Canadian stores will get these. Maybe it was just that one store that got it by accident.

Besides, there's nothing I want in this wave, unless we will be seeing the Asia exclusive Movie trilogy.

Talking with a hasbro rep at tfcon about packaged in robot mode v.s. vehicle mode he said that these days (compared to the 80's) in initial runs they do both and mix and match the items and do test market sales to see which one sells better on the shelf (which one has the 8 year old begging mom to buy) after which they switch most of the production to that.

Granted this was two years ago, but I wouldn't be surprised if we saw both packaging in the US somewhere.

What kills me is that my TRU has Star Wars crap packed down 3/4 of the aisle and now even going into the tiny Transformers section they have leaving no room to put in any new Transformers.

I wonder if Wheelie is still short-packed also. Definitely gotta have him and Springer from the deluxe assortment (probably Swerve too). Plus Laserbeak, Powerdive, and Hot Spot. I hope these are reasonably easy to get in the U.S., since I'm not collecting Prime or most of the FoC stuff, I need a TF fix.
