Next up, we share with you another gallery from the Transformers Fall of Cybertron Deluxe Wave 3. Here comes a Decepticon whose record for treachery and deceit is legend. Yes, tonight we share with you this gallery of Fall of Cybertron Starscream!

Fall of Cybertron Starscream is, in this fan's eyes, level with Kickback for the best toy in the new assortment. His jet mode is suitably alien with a few nods to the various different interpretations of the design over the years. Robot mode is very good on the articulation with lots of movement in the arms and legs, nice big feet with sideways swivels to help with balance, but unfortunately as is par for the course now no waist swivel. The head, while capable of looking left and right, soon gets its vision interrupted by the shoulders, and the main torso is basically hollow from the way it forms from the jet mode. In my mind these are minor issues in what is one of the most fun little toys to come along in a while - Starscream looks great, holds poses well, and has a transformation which is a good balance between complex and intuitive. His weapon is cool as well, with a couple of display options which I have tried to capture in the gallery.

This is one of the figures i am most anticipating out of the line.

It's almost like a Classics Cybertron Starscream.

It is the best FOC toy as far as I am concerned, I just can't stop fiddling with him, something I haven't done with a modern figure since the original classics line.

Why are people so bothered about waist rotation? For me, I think so long as it has knees, elbows, upper thigh and upper arm swivels and at least the ability to rotate the head, it's a good figure.

the only things wrong with FOC Starscream are his visible head in vehicle mode which makes for a great gerhead and that his chest flaps could fold down further. That's it for detractors for me.

Bruticus is a bit awkward for me to do since he barely fits in my light box, never mind fitting anyone in there with him. But I'll add it to the to-do list for the holiday break.

that's understandable. he is quite large. nice pics btw. makes me want Screamer even more

Anyway, I LOVE this guy. I just wish his arms were a bit beefier. And that his wings folded straight backwards like in-game. Do they?! *hunts through gallery*

The wings don't go back any further, unfortunately. They're pretty much stuck in that position, they have a little give backwards to clear the arms but that's all really. It might be possible to mod it or something.

The coronation gear is from a few years ago, it was a third party item I got from TFSource at one of the Botcons. This one - Henkei Classics - Starscream - Crown, Cape, Shoulder Armor & Cannon Custom Upgrade Kit

It isn't a perfect fit but it goes on well enough for the look.

I'll definitely be picking this bad boy up whenever I see him. Hopefully many of them will eventually make their way to discount stores because I might consider buying multiples of these. Why?

Anyone know how much larger the new Soundwave is to Megatron and Starscream? Does he look really out of place or does he scale well next to them? I never really liked the first Soundwave, as I thought he was a little short and too lean

That makes it even better. I was sold at fall of cybertron + starscream announcement a long time ago. Id have been sold even if it was a brick. Id buy at least 2 bricks , this one and Skywarp Natch'.

Yep, this mold is a winner. And the comparison shot just shows you how badly we needed this figure. The classics Seeker mold is awful. I sold all mine as soon as I heard about them doing this guy. Even if it doesn't get official redecos as all of the original trio and coneheads, I'd rather do some naff custom jobs to create my own.

I can't agree at all really. It bears a resemblance to the cartoon characters, no doubt. But its posability is poor for its age, the headsculpt is rubbish (doesn't really look like any of the Seekers much), the wings hinder posability even further, the null rays are too big... I could go on in minute details.

This thing beats the classics on posability and actually looking like the source material, can see that much already.

Speaking of accuracy and head sculpts... I'd actually like a less game-accurate head sculpt for the WfC/FoC Seekers. Something about it always struck me as slightly fugly. I think it's to do with the way the sharp nasolabial folds and long, squared-off chin interact.

YMMV, of course.

I don't know how, but this toy makes me like this design more than I did in-game.

May hold out for the Takara version though. Partially because I have United WfC Megatron and Soundwave already.

MP-11 is the dead ringer. I agree that Classics head sculpt isn't a bad representation and is pretty close and I don't fault it, as its the rest of the figure that doesn't really meet today's standards, not the face, but its not absolutely accurate.

So far my fall of cybertron want list consists of Starscream (and any repaints ) the combaticons,and shock wave and kickback and blaster

Get Takara's for game accuracy, and Hasbro's for IDW accuracy
