TFW2005 boards member griffin-of-oz has brought something interesting to our attention today – Bidoofdude of Ozformers.com reportedly wrote to Hasbro asking if Generations Legends Gnaw with Gnash and Brawn with Mudslinger would still be released. We had last heard of these figures before via leaked listings, but we haven’t heard of them since, leading to some speculation that they may have been cancelled. However, Hasbro responded that they are indeed still planned to come out, and will be released some time in 2015, likely as part of the Combiner Wars line-up.
You can read the exchange below:
I’ve noticed that the Generations Legends Class figures for this year skip numbers #11 through #17. Is there a reason for this? Is it related to the listed Legends Brawn with Mudslinger and Gnaw with Gnash that seemingly didn’t happen?Could we be seeing Brawn (and less importantly, Gnaw) as a Legends figure in the Combiner Wars toyline in the coming year, as he is the only 1984 minibot without a figure yet?
To which Hasbro responded with:
There are plans for the distribution of these characters in 2015, unfortunately I do not have an exact date of arrival.Take this with a grain of salt for now, but if true, we could very likely be seeing these figures at the rapidly-approaching New York Toy Fair.

Last night's Transmissions podcast had a leak of a Legends Brawn coming. I wonder if this is the same brawn from the 2015 leak.

I got my Shockwave at Hasbro Toy Shop for around 8 bucks and free shipping. You just have to obsessively watch the entire internet, and deals can be yours!

So another case where one figure (Gnaw) will go like Shockwave in an eye blink and only be available on eBay then…….
But glad it will happen finally.

After the legends we saw revealed at sdcc 2015, shockwave, buzzsaw and company, aren't we getting nothing but cassettes? Not looking forward to all the cassettes they are likely to pump out.
Please give us Gnaw and other awesomeness aswell Hasbro, please thank you.

Huffer & Pipes were just barely "did". Considering they could've been minor remolds of each other and legends Optimus already had a repaint (many molds only see one repaint/remolds at U.S. retail) Hasbro REALLY cheaped out on Huffer/Pipes.
Warpath KINDA gets a pass since he has his own unique molds in other size classes and is the only repaint of legends Megatron so far, but if all the other minibots get new molds in current legends scale (or appropriate remolds from others in the case of Gears, Windcharger, etc…) I'd hate to see him left out.
With a modest amount of remolding (say different legs or something) Swerve might be made into decent versions of Brawn & Outback.
Bumper & Hubcap could lead to more "realistic vehicle" updates for Bumblebee & Cliffjumper. If the current legends figures got half the amount of remolding between them the current deluxes seem to (like Rook into Swindle) the size class would be fantastic.

Before there's "better" versions of characters they just did (or in Pipes case, haven't even done yet) they need to finish off the Minibots they haven't done at all: Wheelie (listing), Brawn (Gears repaint), Seaspray, Beachcomber, Outback (another Gears retool?), and Hubcap (not sure). Not to mention Glyph, Tapout, and Rook. And Bumper.

Moving him to next year makes sense 30 movie anniversary and all

I'd actually prefer Gnaw/Sharkticons and Gatorcons to be in deluxe scale. Kickback and other "Deluxe Insecticon" retools could fill out the Decepticon side of the Legends slots once we get past the presumably coming "cassette" characters while the Autobots focus on wrapping up the minibots (basically good updates for Brawn/Outback, Seaspray, Beachcomber and eventually better versions of Huffer/Pipes and Warpath).

See.. I don't give two shits about Gnaw. I just want Brawn so the 1984 Minibots are complete in modern Legends form. Then we can worry about the 85-86 ones.

When is the next time there is a Hasbro Q & A where as this question could be brought up…???…

I think it's pretty likely that the towel had been thrown in before we even learned about them.
Looking at the two different sets of Legends listings that were leaked, it seems pretty clear that new moulds Brawn and Gnaw were replaced in the schedule by redecoes Nemesis Prime and Cliffjumper, presumably due to budget cuts to the assortment.
There's further evidence that Legends had its budget cut as time went on in the form of Tailgate and Skrapnel's Targetmasters – the previous waves' partners had plastic colours unique to them, but Groundbuster and Reflector are entirely gang-moulded with the larger figures, using only plastic colours that are already found on Tailgate and Skrapnel.
