New Package Image of Asia Exclusive Leader Starscream and Ironhide

We've seen them, but no release date was heard. Will be nice for those who are interested in these.

ironhide actually doesn't look that bad IMO. he just needs to be transformed right and painted with a gold stripe and he's perfect

I was looking forward to the G1 Starscream deco, less so now. The Target exclusive from movie 1 is fine with me.

Digging that Ironhide, though. I hope he makes it stateside.

If it could be gotten for *super* cheap, I'd get the Starscream to leave in jet mode and pretend it transforms into E.J. Su's IDW Starscream.

Starscream looks okay, but the Ironhide looks nice (a bit better than the DotM Cannon Force toy). I'd like to pick both of these up, but I'm not going to stress it. I can't imagine these selling out very quickly.

I hope that pre-orders for these Asian markets exclusives come up soon. I want a lot of them.

I like SS, but I'll pass on Ironhide. I liked the cannon force Ironhide color scheme better.

Ironhide is meh at best.

The leader Starscream mold is so good it deserves to get multipe repaints. This, however, is not an interesting repaint. There already is a movie Starscream so why would I buy one in the G1 colors (that look bad on this mold IMO).

Now, if they'd release it in a Blue Angels deco (Thundercracker) or a stealth black deco (Skywarp)...then I would definitely buy.

If they would have given Iron Hide a G1-ish head sculpt, that would have been the shit. So pass. The Starscream just doesnt work, for me. Pass on that too.

Perhaps. I'm not really sure of that at all though. After all, while the jury's still out, the Asia Exclusives like Springer, Cliffjumper nad Brawn that did as you suggest have been described as 'Frankenseined'.

I dig both of these quite a bit, I'd pick them up if they weren't exclusives

these are awesome molds and these are awesome repaints! i'm buying.

These will remain the movie characters for me, not the G1 characters.

Still, these are the color schemes the two should have had originally.

Interesting, and I'm sure there are those that like them, but (as usual) proving why the G1 colouring wouldn't and doesn't work with the Movie aesthetic. Will be sticking with my MPM Leader Starscream, personally.

Repainted Movie Leaders uinthe Classics line? No thanks. Movie character designs have their place and it ain't in the Classics line.

1. These are Asian HASBRO market releases (as in, China, Singapore etc.), not "Japan".

2. We've known that for a while.

No in Shattered Glass TFW2005 people are allowed to express their fondness for a toy w/o someone feeling compelled to dump on their preferences.


Generations is not Classics. There's a subtle hint in the fact the name is plural.

I like G1. I've grown to like the Movies aesthetic. And for some characters mixing the two works, like Thundercracker, or toys only Powerglide (who's AWESOME) or Guzzle. But I really don't like the G1 colors on Starscream. It just looks, I dunno, too cartoony. Which doesn't really work for the Movie aesthetic.

Shame that Ironhide mould has far to many design flaws as the idea of a red one is a good one it's just the mould is beyond terrible with far to many issues with the way the product is designed. the nicest thing I can say about it is the truck mode is nice.

Personally I'd rather of had a Leader Thundercracker with a new head. Or a straight repaint as Skywarp or Ramjet - I tend to feel Ramjet looks the the least bland colour wise with the F-22 leader mould but the other two would be neat too. a 3rd starscream leader toy seems a bit redundant to me.

Movie Starscream just looks weird in the G1 scheme...maybe more pictures would help.

I'm kinda surprised that people are so "meh" for that Leader Ironhide. I thought that figure was really cool as-is, but to FINALLY have a movie Ironhide it in solid-red G1 colors - and it's Leader Class? Love it!

EDIT: Oh, and the Starscream? I don't know.....it looks fantastic to me in F-22 mode, but the colors seem a little bright and gaudy in robot mode. Ehhh, I guess I'll need to see more pictures.

They do look sweet but not sweet enough to pay a lot off the internet ,uch like DOTM Que.

They look nice, but I don't like the Leader Ironhide Mold and I already own the Leader Starscream mold in movie accurate colors.

I've never purchased a Leader class from overseas. What is the typical markup? E.g., a deluxe is about three times the cost ($40 instead of $13). Is a Leader going to set me back about $130?

I have wanted a G1 colored Starscream for years now and finally one comes out. Starscream is a must. I'm unsure about Ironhide though.

Not interested in these at all. The only time G1 colors for a movie figure worked was with 2007 Jazz.

Ironhide is awesome! Hopefully there will be a recolored cannon add on set.

Starscream's head bugs me. Looks like The Gimp. Jet mode is cool tho.

They look neat with the quirky G1-inspired decos but I doubt I'll pick these up. I'm perfectly happy with the more movie-accurate molds I already have.

You are right. G1 colors look so out of place it´s not even funny. These molds deserve better.

Those look awesome. I always loved the Raptor in G1 colors. Ironhide is a bonus and the mold is simply fun in my opinion.

The jet mode looks great in those colors, but the bot mode is awkward by comparison.

Moving targets. Always something to b1tch about.

starscream would be a lot better if his head was retooled like the first movie's target-exclusive voyager. his normal movie head looks bad in black.
