In Hand Pics of Fall of Cybertron Grimlock

Robot Kingdom has just updated their Facebook page with our first in hand images of Fall of Cybertron Grimlock. These pictures show us both robot and dino mode as well as the light-up gimmick in both modes. How Grimlock's sword and shield attach in robot mode is also shown, as well as a size comparison with Generations FOC Optimus Prime. Grimlock towers over the deluxe figure.

I don't think I've wanted a Grimlock of any kind this badly before now. That light gimmick just looks so cool.

Oh, wow, don't know how I didn't see that GIANT gap right under the neck earlier, his head is probably still plain as day under that. Probably will still buy this for the robot mode, which is ace, but unless I'm mistaken about that gap they really dropped the ball there.

The underbelly of his dino mode looks really... not good. Wish there was a panel or something there to fill it out and make it more "complete" looking.

Nevertheless, this is one of the few TF figures I'm still looking forward to.

Wow! He is huge compared to baby Prime. I didn't know he had a light gimmick either. Gold paint would have been better, but this is gonna be good.

What does the tail look like?

The shoulders seem to be a little hollow too. No matter, this looks like an incredibly fun figure, and when's the last time we saw a Voyager with an integrated and sweet light-up feature?

The question for me is: do I wait for a potentially shiny Takara version?

Looks to be a nice figure.

A tad bland when just standing still (More so about the paint job).

Looks much better when time is taken to pose him.

The light up feature is a nice touch.

Don't think I'll try so hard to track one down.

Yes, it does.... This will also start selling tomorrow in brick and mortal retail outlets here in HK, though, so we should be able to see more pics and maybe reviews over the weekend. Too bad my dealer is only available on Monday.

Looks like most of the paint survived, but wow, those are some dull pictures. Can someone please get these retailers a real camera?

Otherwise, I am super psyched about getting him. I will say though that the head sculpt leaves a little something to be desired IMHO.

Yeah, there's that. But I have already accepted that as given with these mainline releases, and I will take whatever goodness I can get.

Proportions are all messed up.
Their is a huge hollow section at the bottom of the mouth and neck.
Tail is incredibly short.

However, it is a grimlock figure and is worth buying.

he's looking very bland. i will definitely wait for a takara version. they also need to have an on/off feature for the light, not push to light up. seriously hasbro, get it together.

WOW. That's one of the better implementations of a lightup gimmick that we've seen in an official toy for awhile, I'd have to say. Looks like a LOT of fun.

That said, I'm aware the Voyagers are sorta out of scale anyway, but does anyone have that scale chart High Moon released handy? Grimlock was pretty huge in the game after all, and I'm kinda curious how far off he is from his game scale.

very sexy, but as always not as shiny as promised, 99/100 times I couldn't care less about something like that. but the Takara FOC line has been really up there..... I think I'll wait to find him at retail, and see which has been announced as shinier by that time.

The only thing that looks really odd to me is the tail. Looks too big and clunky. Doesn't flow right. But that's a minor nit pick. Better than the classics one though.

Looks great. Especially the light up gimmick. Looks to be a straight forward transformation. Wish there was a side shot to see the big backpack (Dino head).
