In-Hand Images of GDO Leader Ironhide and Starscream

ok i really love teh iron hide. the starscream not so much.

So will these be TRU exclusive in the US, like the (or some of the) Deluxes and Legions? That Starscream is calling to me.

These are not currently slated for a US release.

Hmmm, the jet mode for Starscream actually doesn't look too bad (with the exception of the folded down vertical stabilizers) - however, I'm not certain I'd like the bot mode enough to justify laying out that much money.

G1 decos on movieverse toys - Like putting a prom dress on a pig.

Yeah these are bad. Lots of ppl always scream for g1 decos on movie figures and its always a bad idea imo.

There were none on the eBay listings, so there are none on this story.

As much of Starscream fan as I am (especially that mold), those colors don't look very appealing at all. Unless the robot images look decent, the Target voyager from 2007 is still the G1 repaint to get. Ironhide.....eh......

I'd really hooked on Ironhide, unfortunately, I have the regular version. As for Starscream, sold. Reason being, I STILL don't have a Starscream.

You know, I'm surprised but Ironhide looks pretty decent in alt mode with that deco. Weird. (And sorta loving the 70s vibe it's putting out, lol.)

Both look good to me. But I mostly want Starscream right now. But I'd be willing to get Ironhide too. We'll see...

I want that Starscream so badly it hurts. His color scheme might not be accurate to the movie, but it certainly looks better next to my MP TC and soon to have Warper. I don't duplicate molds often and the seekers are a great excuse to own numerous copies of molds without having to dupe characters too. The Ironhide looks hot, except for the head.

Well Ironhide looks pretty decent. The red actually does a good job of showing off the details of the mild much better than the black.

But Starscream?!? What the hell??? They actually gave him the same paint scheme as US MP Starscream, including scorch marks, insignias and where the red shoulder/intakes would be! Cool idea, but horrible in practice! Wow, I actually feel bad for my MP lol

Man, I kind of like these, but I know they are pointless recolors that really don't have a place in my collection.

I am sorry sir, but I could not possibly disagree more your comment - I happen to know many fine prom dress-wearing pigs, and not one of them looks even half as hideous as a film franchise figure slathered with a coat of G1-inspired paint.

Alt modes look decent even if Starscream being white instead of gray is a bit of an oddity as with Walscream vs. MP-11. The bot modes though.... leave much to be desired with those colors. I dig both Leader molds themselves very much but vastly prefer their movie accurate decos instead.

I've always thought that painting the movie Ironhide red was just fugly.
Starscream in G1 colors isn't so bad, but I do prefer to keep the worlds separated.

I don't see putting out the bucks to get these.

For reasons unexplainable by me I actually want that Starscream.

if i got these, they would stay in alt mode.

I have the seekers trio in voyager class like this. I wonder how the three would look in vehicle mode. I don't mind this leader SS though

Iron Hide was a van not a truck.... "BUT PRIME!"

I think it actually looks better with the white tailfins, but the original photos had SS with the traditional blue tailfins.

I'm still tempted to get these guys.

I love the colours but There are so many other Transformers coming out I can’t justify buying the figures when I have the originals.

I'm hoping mine will arrive in the next couple of days and will try to take pics. Any request?

If you love the colors and the mold but do not like having the same characters twice, you can always rename them.

Thanks for the bot-mode pics... Starscream doesn;t look bad really, but EZ pass for both, for me.

I still kind of like the SS, and I thought I would like Ironhide, but the colors are too flat. Ironhide needs more black to break things up and certain pieces (his tires for instance) shouldn't be grey (I understand that they were cast in the same mold as the other grey pieces, but they should be black).

After seeing the in hand pictures, this is the second Ironhide I'll likely be passing on, with Prime Ironhide being the first (Come on Hasbro/Takara....WTF?).......The cost of importing it vs. how much I actually like the look of the figure comes into play again here.

It really needs some black to break up the wall of red. The face needs at least a little detail, and as someone else mentioned, the gray tires....UGH.

I have two red Ironhide customs that are pretty damn amazing, so if I don't end up with this it won't break me. I would have to add quite a bit of detail/paint to this to be satisfied.

And though I love the color red, love G1 Ironhide, and love my custom red Ironhides, movie Ironhide looks the best exactly the way he is in the films -black.

Hmmmm. The ironhide one is pretty sweet. Would definitely need the FWI cannons.
