Hisashi Yuki has taken a break from his daily teasing of the Transformers fans everywhere with pictures of Generations Metroplex to show us a robot mode picture of Metroplex's little partner robot. Generations Metroplex will come with an updated Scamper, the black car robot who came with the original Metroplex. This Scamper stands roughly the same height as Generation 1 Scamper, but features modern levels of design and articulation. Check out the image from the TFYuki Twitter feed!

I know it's only a small deal, but this makes me want 'plex even more.

j.a.f.o.
Hollow legs = fail.

Just kidding. I'll buy Metroplex JUST for him.
Ravenxl7
That's...actually kinda cool. Doubtful, but it would be interesting to see it released on it's own.
MrSoundmeister
"Oh,hey i just came from the future to check on my past self is doing... yup,im still standing there, phew. good thing i have this new body now. i can actually move my legs now!"
Deadsled
with the major upscaling of Metroplex, I'm surprised that Scamper is still the same size! (as he should be imo)
giga-galvatron
I going to assume some 3P guys will make Slammer and Six Gun. I wonder if the G1 dudes can integrate into the new metroplex. Ill have two scampers
sh002
Awesome. So no Six Gun or Slammer? I guess third parties can jump on those two. Unless maybe the SDCC version will come with them.
Niv3k
Wow.
Robogeek28
What size is Scamper again? Commander scale, or more of a smallish Scout?
Sol Fury
He's in scale with the new Optimus and Bumblebee "Legends" figures, so yeah, somewhere around Commander or a small Scout. Bumblebee is about a head shorter than RTS Windcharger, so around that approximate height. Nice to finally see this one!

Awesome to hear. Scamper does indeed look great, and I can't wait to see how it looks painted.
Robogeek28
Now I'm wondering how plain Metro will look without his stickers on because those are the reason I'm not planning on getting him.

I freakin hate stickers!
Ezilla82
I do notice that his head is red, but I guess I can get use to it.
G1Prowl
Loving the Bumper head. This needs three repaints: red, blue, and yellow.

I'm guessing it will be painted - perhaps it is done in red to make it easier to paint? Though he certainly needs more colour, you can't get less than the original who was 100% black!

That might just be prototype colors.

It really does not seem all that faithful to vintage toy scamper other than being a small black car. Though a quick trip to tfwiki and it seems this one bares more of a resemblance to his old Animation model. classic.

I demand a G1 toy accurate head!
Autobotmech
Well this answers my quesiton from yesterday, now about the sixgun ^^ ?
Ktulu
Neat little guy overall~
IaconStargazer
Pretty cool, although I hope that red is just a prototype color.
Paarthurnax
He'll be going straight into my junk parts bin. Or my crappy minicon box. I just want Metroplex, no interest in this guy.
benclark1982
Looking forward to this figure. I hope a proper sixgun is made either by hasbro or a third party.

Yah,they should do Scamper slightly larger a bit
Soundwinder
I think Deadsled meant that keeping him the same size was better. And I agree.

... shit, I may have to get this Metroplex. The price made me just say "no" but... it's actually beginning to look like a decent deal. Damn thing's going to be twice the size of a leader.

Very true.

Agreed.

What a cute little scamp.

yeah, that's what I was saying.

agreed, the more pics I see of this the harder it is to tell myself I can't afford it...
Spyne98
I'm really digging this!
ex dtw2003
Very cool.

(Not sure how hard making a Cyberverse fig is, but this looks like a neat homage of teh original).
Oneiros
This is just amazing. I LOVED Scamper as a kid. I played with that figure and Powermaster Prime's Hi-Q like crazy, even though I had other more substantial TFs. I'm not sure why.

I wish I could go back in time and tell my eight year-old self not to worry about Metroplex with the broken waist, you'll end up getting THIS bad-boy!!
aptkane
Scamper was my favorite part of G1 Metroplex. I had this big dude just sitting there and wouldn't put Scamper down for a second. Given that, I'm thrilled to not only see the confirmed version with New Metroplex, but that he looks AWESOME.
Transbot90210
It is a free Transformer that comes with a very very fair (i say steal) priced Titan. How can you not love it?

Minor nitpicks are I would prefer a black vs that grey brown colour thingy and the red head. All things I can totally live with though.

Bring on the Titan...and his little friend too.
Girl Pants
Really cool. Never had G1 Metroplex, so I never paid much attention to these "base pack-in" guys before, but they seem cool. Really want to see the alt mode. Maybe Slammer and Sixgun might get released on their own as Cyberverse toys?

Also red head = Metrodash = Metrotitan redeco confirmed! lol

Looks prototype to me....hopefully
WhiteMocha
I love him. I actually hope he keeps the red head, it gives him some visual interest while still keeping most of the all-black coolness of the original.

I don't think it's been said, but I'd guess he's the same "scale" as the new main figure in the Legends 2-pack: Optimus/Bumblebee sized. Which in turn seems closest to Cyberverse Commander sized.

At least with shoulders, elbows, hips and knee joints they seem to have the complexity of a Commander. More articulation than a Legion.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the mold repainted as ...someone... with some little partner as a Legends 2-pack.
Gigasor
Scamper looks, to me, like he could be repainted into Bumper
Cal
Seems okay for a prototype, but we really need some third-party Slammer and Six-Gun to complete the set.
Samuraidaikon
Looks awesome! Can't wait! If these are final colors, yeah the red head is a bit odd, but it looks relatively easy to paint so I don't mind much either way.

Also I hope he has rifles that attach to his car mode like the G1's arms parts-formed into.
Kero
Red head is probably final, but body looks black in previous box pics.

I like it.
SPLIT LIP
Looks really good for an accesory.

Also, at least the red head makes it look like he has one.
Aernaroth
He looks snazzy, but I'd be lying if I didn't say I'm going to miss his "gun shoulders". I know there's really no place for them, but I always liked that part of his design.

Do not. Give them. IDEAS! Looks good to me. I did hope for a better G1 toy head homage but this isn't terrible. He does resemble the animation model well enough. At least for me.
Megatron31
like this guy! and looks to be fairly posable as well.

to bad we didnt get a new teaser of metroplex though
Grimlock_13
Not a huge fan of the head. It's not Scampers head it's Bumper's plus the red against the rest of the body being black stands out in a bad way. But it's a small figure and doesn't take away from Metroplex so I'll just have to ignore it.
opt1musaber
I hope that's not the final product, that Red face lol

Given that Bumblebee and Cliffjumper are sports/muscle cars often now, I think this alt mode would suit a modern version of their "brother" Bumper.
