for me its not the color it looks like a giant super deformed novelty item its an easy pass but my kids will like it i,m shure.

Are the color based on Energon Bruticus Maximus? Because, if so, this makes the colors of these figures a tad more tolerable.

A set reached my hand resident in Tokyo.For shipment from Hong Kong to Tokyo, it was early that baggage arrived.


I play and thoroughly enjoy BRUTICUS earlier.
A toy and the affinity of Arms Microns(TOMY) are good, too.

This'll be my first version of the mold(I'm getting all 4, unless TakaraTomy's is more like SDCC's), and I can't wait. The only thing I gotta decide now is what modes to display them in. Perhaps this will be displayed in Bruticus form, and my Dudeicus will be displayed as separate robots.

Yes, they're in the same colour-schemes as Bruticus Maximus' limbs, corresponding with Japanese names, if that makes sense? So, like, Blight was called Swindle in Japan, so this Swindle is in Blight's colours.

I wish somebody would take a picture of them in the same formation as Bruticus Maximus' stockart, because that's how I'll be displaying them

I don't understand what people see here, to me the colors look like ass.

The only thing I like about this is that Swindle's box shows the Neutron Assault Rifle, and Onslaught's shows the X18 Scrapmaker.

Maybe it's because I have a the SDCC already and know what they are like in person, but this looks really good to me. Since I have the game-accurate version now, I'm interested in the repaints.

I just don't understand the neon colors. Blast off and Onslaught are just passible, but the rest look horrible. I mean come on Hasbro, Swindle looks like a Bannana, and Vortex like a Tomato. I really want to get these but I'm not sure if I'll pick them up now that I have the SDCC version. What marketing guy made the decision on these colors. It used to really bother me as a kid when the figure I bought looked different than the cartoon. Hasbro had the opportunity to make these different, but instead they just suck. Ill buy a G1 color scheme homage if it comes out, but not Fruticus.

I guess I can at least look forward to the Wreckers repaint. That version looks awesome so far.

He looks alot less lanky than the sdcc version. Like the connectors arent as long or something. Maybe its because they are black instead of purple?

I have to admit, I'm warming up to the colors. That, and I absolutely loved the Combaticons/Bruticus in the game, so I feel obligated to buy some version of them.

I need to repaint Blast-off, though. He looked so much better in brown in my opinion. I'd do RID colors, but since we have the Wreckers retools who are largely in RID Ruination/Commando colors, that base is covered.

I don't know why, but I'm not a fan of their colors. Individually they are decent, nothing worth writing home about, but together they just seem garish. And not in a good way like the G2 deco is. I'd like something G1 Bruticus or RiD Ruination where the colors are a bit more dull and military-esque, yet all the individuals are distinct from one another. The Autobot Ruination is right where I'm getting at, though I'd prefer it to still be a Decepticon.

Quite frankly EVERY version of the generations version of Bruticus is HORRIBLE. It looks NOTHING like the game version and Hasbro didn't even try with Onslaught. NO ONE SHOULD BUY THIS!

I hope that TakTomy will issue the SDCC version in future.

Judging from the schemes they used i would say thats probably a logical conclusion....especially when looking at Onslaught. And since i was unable to get either the g2 set or comic-con GAME ACCURATE colors...I'll be after this one.

Onslaught isn't anywhere NEAR accurate in both robot and vehicle modes.
Swindle has an accurate vehicle mode and an ugly robot mode.
Brawl- Fantastic Robot mode, The huge backpack kills it though. The vehicle mode is superb.
Blastoff- Why did they make him purple? It looks horrible. Robot mode is great and he is accurate in both vehicle and and robot mode.
Vortex- Robot mode is ruined, Vehicle mode has no jet mode so it only gets 5/10 because the helicopter mode is fantastic.
Bruticus- What the fuck am I looking at?......This is NOT Bruticus. I think Willy Wonka got sick and threw up all over him.

Hasbro has once again failed the Transformers community. I think I'm only going to buy 3rd party figures because they are atleast ACCURATE. You it's pathetic when a 3rd party group does better than the main line. Fuck you Hasbro.

You have no right to call someone else's opinion "stupid". If you want to go on an angry tirade about the retail colors against Hasbro and declaring that you'll only buy third party, that's fine. But when you insult someone else from having a different opinion you've taken it too far.

Frankly, I'll take bright colors over dull, brownish hue any time thank you.

Granted I prefer the sdcc version more, but dude no need to act like an ass, some people prefer this version at retail, Its all about preference. No need to call people stupid, hell your acting like a fucking prick.

I was actually in the store last night when Hobbybase started handing out the sets to those who preordered. It seems that there were quite a few figures with smudges and sloppy paint jobs (you'll actually see some in the pics posted on this thread), and those lucky enough to arrive early were able to choose the best of the lot. If you want one, wait till it reaches you at retail; you run the risk of getting bad figures if you order online.

I honestly cannot understand why anyone prefers any of these colors except maybe Onlsaught, except the Bruticus head colors are off and he lacks glow color paint.
Brawl is neon, lacks glow color paint, and the cannon color is incorrect.
Swindle is neon, lacks a ton of paint, instead of detailed purple on the shoulder panel, they just paint one half purple, and the paint on his face makes him look like a chubby little boy.
Vortex is just, no. Lacks glow color except for the yellow glow on his chest, and the color scheme is way off.
Blast Off's color is, obviously, way inaccurate, and the glow color is wrong.
Can anyone explain why any of these colors are better than SDCC? And don't say "MORE VARIETY, LESS BEIGE", because that's a half-assed reason seeing as everyone here cries and whines about every little inaccuracy except when it comes to Bruticus and his colors, which is what I'm questioning.
Little example, here, if there was an FOC Nemesis Prime who was all black, but we got a toy that was an homage to Scourge, but overdid the teal, but there was also a game-accurate 85% black version, would you go for the accurate one, or the teal one because it's "not so super black". Same thing here, except replace black with beige.
