Thanks to a post over on Ozformers, we now have a new sighting of the Transformers Generations/Fall of Cybertron Legion two-packs (Rumble/Ravage and Frenzy/Ratbat) in Australia. Reminiscent of the way Soundwave's cassettes were sold in pairs during Generation One, these Cyberverse Legion priced two-packs are your way to expand Fall of Cybertron Voyager Soundwave's "Cassette" army, albeit with a Cybertronian Data Disk twist.

Yeah I'm waiting for BBTS to put these up.

What do Deluxes and Legions go for in Australia? Because I want those so bad, but $13 per pack seems extreme (at the very least, it would result in me only getting one pack).

DXs are $25+ in Australia.

I think they're so close to Takara prices......that a lot of Australian collectors just buy the Takara version.
Tober
They are $13 each set. Registered shipping to the USA would double that at least.

Robot Kingdom might be a better option. In stock November 30.

C'mon buddy. Let's not start that. I am happy they're at least going for consistency, you know? I personally like Rumble being red, but I like Hasbro making a decision and sticking to it a lot more.

Is anyone a member there? Could someone ask for a pic of the barcode (or just the full barcode #?) That way I can generate a barcode and figure out US prices...
Bountyan
Will buy when I see them at the store.
ahchu
aren't these gonna be released in the US?
Hikaru IchijoSL
I can not wait from them they look cool.
Brave Magnus
Like them! Do we have clear pics of the toys in hand already? Would like to see them close.
Thanks for posting this!

These Happymeal-formers are an easy pass.

I do want that MP Lazerbeak to go with my PE Rumble and Frenzy though...

I mean anything else at this point and I might as well just keep the regular G1 cassettes which look a whole lost better than those hockey pucks.
megatroptimus
Awesome, didn't know these would be released so fast.
Deceptigtar
Come on USA already!

AU$13 each at a Toyworld store in NSW.
Proof here.
Thank you for the heads up griffin! There're no Toyworld stores in my area, but it appears to be Target isn't too far behind stocking SW/SB Voyagers so I'll keep looking.

For anyone wondering about the price, AU$13 is actually a good price for us, cheaper than a Cyberverse Commander class ($15 ~ 18)

Most retailers such as Target and Kmart will have deluxes going for around $25 for new releases. They tend to drop to around $20-$22 once they've shelf warmed for a while.

Toyworld and TRU are generally more expensive (around the $30 mark and rarely go on sale).

Legions are anywhere between $9 and $14.

Supposedly $10 us for a two-pack.

Well, they were consistent in sticking to their ORIGINAL decision, until suddenly they STOPPED.

So yeah, whoever it is over there at Hasbro, who took it upon themselves to rewrite history and swap Rumble and Frenzy... fuck you, buddy.

I'm RIRFIB, but at this point I'd prefer they just stick with something, anything, and stay with it. They'd been pretty consistently RIBFIR for two years or so now so... that's... something.

They have? I think this is the first officially blue G1-style Rumble to actually be released by Hasbro... ever? The last released G1-ish Rumble was the Robot Heroes version, which was... red.

So by that logic, I'd hardly say they were sticking to anything, least of all their established precedent of the last 2 decades. And it is vaguely ridiculous that Hasbro and Takara should have exactly the opposite names for those characters.

Though Prime Rumble would be a forerunner of sorts... though the only thing he shares with G1 Rumble is the piledrivers. Incidentally, I'm also a bit tired of Frenzy having the piledrivers too.

Not bad, but since they're scout class figures, they won't be the first FoC toys I buy.

here we go again with the stupid R/F debate. smh

Here you go.

jackgaughan
Ha! They've even put FOC Ravage in the G1 stock art pose on the packaging!
BenjaminXavier
THANK YOU SIR!

I'll be scanning these at Target on the way in to work later today, then I'll come back and post the prices. The voyagers are already in their system, so these should be too. If I have time and they're not in Target's system I'll check TRU and/or WM as well.

They look nice! Definitely have to get these. I have always like the cassettes anyway.

Thanks Australia, now I have to buy these.

I am very disappointed in you :|

Between WfC, IDW switching colors, the planned Demolition Rumble, and now this, they seem to be throwing themselves at Rumble being blue. In an ideal world they would've just never changed from Rumble being red, but at this point the next best thing to me is them sticking to this.

Awesome, thanks.

Pretty sure SDCC said the 2-packs were going to be $5 so this is a bit disappointing, but ah well.

Probably just going to get one pack (Ravage and Frenzy).

Yeah, IDW switching was a bad scene. Not like IDW at that time was known for any kind of consistency. With WFC's strong ties to the cartoon ("aligned" universe be damned!) it's not really a surprise that they went blue (though it is disappointing). Hasbro was the real betrayal, but that Demolition Rumble never came out... so I was kind of hoping it wouldn't come to this. Still, wouldn't call that consistency... especially in the face of being pretty consistent all these years the other way.

It's not so much "consistency" as it is the potential for consistency. We've got to start somewhere to begin consistency, you know?

... so has the word "consistency" begun to look really weird for you, too?
