Generations Asia Exclusive Powerdive Pictures

AC Toys has uploaded a nice gallery of the upcoming Asia Exclusive/Toys R Us Exclusive Voyager Powerdive. This first reuse of the Hunt For the Decepticons Highbrow mold gets a Decepticon deco this time and features a new head with a retractable visor. While the figure slightly resembles the Generations 2 Rotor Force figure Ransack, he is actually named after the other Decepticon Rotor Force member. He also features a nifty shark deco.

Check out the pics after the break!

Fallout
holy shit, that shark deco sold me on this guy.
MechaV
Oh wow.

I might actually just buy him for the shark decal.

That is crazy.
Jetbolt
I like it, just wish the front wings were bigger in vehicle mode.

I'll still pick it up though since I skip over the first version of the mold.
seekerblackout
>Purple gatling guns
>Pink propellers
>Otherwise boring colors
>Goofy headsculpt

Well this looks like a pa-

>Shark decal

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
Fallout
i still can't figure out why they shoved the cockpit back and made the wings stubs. i mean, one is good for legal reasons but both just makes a bad plane. still, i like the deco enough to buy it and the gatling guns look less cheap than i thought at first.
ORIO
Easily the figure I'm most excited about from these asia exclusives
Shockwave9227
Shark decal? Sold.
Optimus Prime
Looks excellent; I love this mold and this looks even better than Highbrow.
AllBurnedOut
Looks kinda bad to me. Yes, the shark is cool, though. Not enough to justify the whole thing, but it's a nice shark.

When trying to homage this guy:
Powerdive (1994) - Decepticon Air Attack Specialist - www.tfu.info

They SHOULD have went with this guy:
Bulkhead (2004) - Autobot - www.tfu.info

If you gonna use this mold for somebody, this is who they SHOULD have used:
Ransack (1994) - Decepticon Reconnaissance Fighter - www.tfu.info

There you go, that's pretty spot-on.
OptimusGinrai
The OP's link isn't working for me.
Noideaforaname
I already have Highbrow and don't really buy repaints, but that shark decal is, dare I say, JAWSOME. Mighty tempting...
MidnightBliss
Nice. New head too? SOLD!!!!
Deathx360
I was looking forward to Hotspot more but his head sculpt isn't doing much for me, but I will probably still get it. This on the other hand went from 0 interest to must have. That head sculpt really works well on that mold, dare I say better than Highbrow.

Now all I need to know is how much, sku#, and when. I don't recall any of that info from SDCC but hopefully these Asia imports and both MPs don't drop at the same time too soon. I need to get some money saved up but it would be nice to hit TRU at one time instead of 3 or 4 trips (I live 100 miles from one).
CobramusPrime
Man, that shark is where it's at and the colors are cool too, sold!
flywheels
I really REALLY like this one. I had and sold Highbrow only because I didn't have a place for him to "fit in"...but Powerdive will look great on my modern G2 shelf.

Love the head sculpt and the visor. Paint apps are fantastic too. Shark face is a nice addition, but a tad on the goofy side.
soymonk
Love that deco.
Coldiron
I almost see this as a Waspinator vehicle mode.
Ravage101
damn, makes me wish I had the original figure it is based on. I would get this one because of the killer shark/beast paint job and the head sculpt is really amazing! Much better than the original figure by far.

I would take all the cool stuff of this version and customize the other figure to make one awesome character. Obviously the bright red and purple crap would be the first to go.

CBFF, the headmold obviously is a give away that that is what Hasbro was trying to do, but I wonder if there were intellectual/copy righted reasons why they couldn't name the figure Ransack. However it is still a pretty slick G2 homage, and the shark . . . yup getting on the bandwagon
Ribieconvoy
Hm... the purple guns and red propellers seem wrong, but dat shark deco seems oh so right. Hasbro knows how to paint their plane TFs.

It could also be because Animated/Classics Lugnut stole Ransacks color scheme as well, thus doing this mold in Ransack's colors would seem repetitive, especially with the purple body and green arms.
adambman
Gah! Hasbro Asia have shark decal technology and aren't afraid to use it!

Perhaps their first intention was to use the Highbrow mold in these colors and the decision to make the toy Powerdive came second.

The head is pretty obviously Powerdive's, at least with the goggles down. I think they might have picked this mould over any helicopter-based ones so that they could use the spinning arm propellers as a sort of homage to the original toy's Rotorforce gimmick.
Blitz.
I really dig this guy to the point I'm willing to pay the silly import prices
Solrac333
Looks like a vehicle from "Last Exile".
Starscream Gaga
Looks amazing. He's G2, so I must have him.
Crossfire-034
The only thing preventing me from acquiring this mold before was the ugly head... and Powerdive looks 100X better. Also, did anyone else think of Sky-Byte when they saw the deco?
wolfe
Looking forward to this.

Good call, especially since Bulkhead there can also carry his rotors as a hand weapon, a la the original Powerdive.

That being said, I think this deco works for the mold, it fits the real world stylings a bit better than a heavily purple design would have in my eyes, and either way, it is still looking like a fantastic mold. Flip up visor? Got to love that.
llamatron
Looks totally badass, very tempted to pick this guy up.

I mean the mold and colors may have come first and then the head later after they decided what character would work well with this mold and colors. Plus the rotors may have influenced the choice.

I'm just saying they probably didn't want to do a purple recolor to be Ransack but still wanted to use this mold.
Sideways77
Yeah, I'll get this.

As much as I dislike that mold, that new head is beautiful.
Jigga
That looks pretty cool
jorod74
I want this to be TFtM '07 Incinerator's Dad/Grandad.

i'd sell my Highbrow and get 2 of these to show off both modes.
okay the colors are a bit garish to me, but i like the mold and the upgrades on this enough to overlook the paint.

Exactly what I was thinking. I do have G2 Ransack and Powerdive. And with Ransack being a Corsair, it would've been a no-brainer.

Ahh well....I guess this one falls in the same category of which Universe 2.0 Stormcloud is in. Wherein this Powerdive would've made much more sense as Ransack, as U-Stormcloud would've been to Tailwind.

Still absolutely love this though. I never really liked Highbrow, colors and head really turned me off to him. But this one's head and deco pretty much sold me from the start.

+1 for that reference.

That shark decal is so good....i need it....i need it so much
Tux Chaos X
Just throwing it out there: there's NO WAY Hasbro is going to let any new "Bulkheads" be anything but large, Hound-decoed brawlers with Crumplezone jaws. The Energon guy got stuck with an unfortunate name in this case.
Autovolt 127
It's pretty good and I do like the mold but I think i might pass. There so much other stuff comming that I'd rather get this guy later. If I can manage to get everything i need perhaps i'll pick one up of him.

Energon Bulkhead was basically just a variant on Springer. He was even called Sprung in Japan. All the same, I'd like a second take on that character by any name.
odeean
I feel so close to getting this but not quite. Last night I bought the Asia exclusives I want and left this guy out. 2xWheelie, 2xSwerve and 1xHotspot. Its hard to pin down what is wrong with it. I think that the poseability may be lacking. I wanted the previous version more mainly driven by the face.
RedAlert Rescue
Well I'd say painting Skybyte on the side makes him a must have Yes ??

I would just like to say again something I mentioned when the original came out - can some one please make some wing extenders for him. his wing tips are far to short.

carefully crafted they could also make little cleaves for him to hold and maybe even provide alternative placement for his guns or other weapons in 3mm clip points and 5mm holes.

Even just an inch longer would be good.

And one of these days I hope someone will make hands for ROTF Voyager Incinerator too.
Optimus1138
That actually looks kinda cool. I missed the mold first time around, and had sort of wanted it. I might get this. He should go pretty well with RTS Lugnut.
Powersa
Looks like a shark bite the plane in the ass. Random deco.
Mechafire
The shark decal is amazing

As far as I'm concerned, this is Ransack.
Spiderus Prime
Shark decal?? It's looks-like a Whale decal.
