As it happened, I 've got two limbs down already!
Thundershot
I'd much rather he have dedicated limbs (or Sweeps), but failing that, I hope we get enough new guys to give him four "stolen" limbs so no one is missing any parts in a big brawl (or display case).
Beastwarsfan95
I always found the idea of him forcing people to be his limbs weird.

Rivals with Galvatronus. I wonder how that's going to be.

I know right?
Yeah I'd like to see how they would tackle the gender identity for a combiner.
I never realized this.
Hooray we're spared from Galvatronus!
Knightsword
I know Ratchet and Megatron should team up for Combiner Wars
scrapmetaru
I hope Cyclonus and Ambulon just fuse and fall over in the background somewhere and it's never mentioned before, during, or afterward.
Obvious Prime
Oh, thank you!

My bad it was Livio Ramondelli here in regards to Galvatronus on page 1 and the fan built combiner on page 3:

Could I get a source on that? I'm disappointed the fan-built combiner won't be in the comics but those other two things are great news.

I should've remembered that, as I was pointing to Centuritron as an example of female bots in a Combiner team while people were complaining they shouldn't happen.
It's also an interesting example, as Windshear forms the head. To me, this is the equivalent of a male robot forming a female torso or vice versa. Which is why I never understood how/why a gestalt would have a gender regardless of what percentage of his components are one gender or another.
Does Combiner Wars address this? Will Combiner Wars address this? Has IDW tackled this conversation at any point? We've got gender identity issues in the form of Arcee, but a combiner would be a very interesting exploration into what makes them who they are.
…Okay, I'm talking myself into wanting the FBC to be a mixed gender team *and* get a comic book centered on them so we can explore that dynamic.
Knightsword
Galvatronus and the fan built combiner won't be in the comics, its been confirmed by Livio Ramondelli. Combiner Wars will be over in May, before SDCC.
WishfulThinking
I dunno. Ask Centuritron. He's a male Minicon combiner made up of two males and a female.
My assumption is that a gestalt is the summation of the personalities. And if the summation leans towards one gender or another, then that's what it represented. I'd probably find it most weird if the team was all male and formed a female gestalt, or vice versa, over a mixed team forming one gender or another.

It's not because of sexism that the female combiner option may not win. But there were many who voted male for that reason.
Frankly I was confused by the gender option, as I never thought of combiners as being gendered considering they can be made of any number of different characters.
If the combiner is female, is the whole team female? What if just a female torso combines with male limbs?
It's something I'm hoping Combiner Wars addresses. What gives a Combiner it's identity? Is Defensor any four limbs plugged into Hot Spot or does it *have* to be the Protectobots?
What if I plug the four Stunticons into Silverbolt? Is it Menasor? Superion? Something else?
It would be interesting to work a rivalry in with an existing character if only to help give the new character some backstory that can be told with interactions without having to force exposition in to their intro.

Oh damn, I forgot about that.
Then what's it for?

The post directly above your's explains why that isn't the case.
