Fall of Cybertron Deluxe Starscream Revealed - Spring 2013 Release

At Cybertron Con this weekend there was a preview of some of the upcoming Hasbro Transformers releases up through to Spring of 2013. The Spring 2013 release deserves some special attention - it's a Fall of Cybertron Starscream, Deluxe Class and based on Starscream's look in War for Cybertron / Fall of Cybertron. All that is shown so far is a resin prototype - but it is already looking very sharp.

Hasbro teased at 40 releases under the Generations banner for 2013 - this Starscream is one of those 40 - and could there be a Skywarp and a Thundercracker in the pipeline as well?

^ Yeah, setting aside a whole shelf for Foc/WfC goodness is looking increasingly satisfying. It's getting a very complete line of Decepticons. Ironhide/Ratchet would really round out the Autobots. (Or how about Cyberverse Metroplex!

Oh awesome. That is genuinely great news. Put me down for at least one. The thing that excites me the most is the word "Spring" up there in the top right. Why, it's nearly spring now!

It seems really likely that all future Generations figures this year are going to be based off of Fall of Cybertron designs, going by all the new Generations figures being shown lately. Not necessarily a bad thing, though.

Looks like a 6 to me.

Either one could make sense though, with movie toys wrapping up they could replace them with new Generations. Or it could be the usual delay between media and toy forms.

Molds? You mean toys right? Those 40 will surely involve repaints of each other and of previous Generations, like the retools of Perceptor, Jazz, Kup etc.

I think it would hilarious if Takara did Skywarp and Hasbro did Thundercracker. It would be the third or fourth year in a row that US fans haven't been able to get a SW at retail.

Read this over at FMH:

"........... Transformers Global Brand Director, Jerry Jiovin, was there and apparently when asked if we'd see Grimlock in the same wave, answered "Stay tuned". So there you go: likely Grimlock for the same wave!"

That doesn't guarantee same wave, i think, but at least it indicates Grimlock will along be somewhere down the line.

Here's a list a few repaints/remolds that were revealed at the TF Cybertron Con 2012 Hasbro panel, aside from FOC Starscream reveal:

Movie Trilogy:
-Wheeljack(Que) in wheeljack colours
-Soundwave in soundblaster colours
-Leader Starscream in G1 colours
-Leader Ironhide in G1 colours

Prime:
-Kup using deluxe ironhide mold
-New mold of Rumble(Blue) as a car!

Generations:
-Brawn: FE Prime Bulkhead with a new head sculpt
-Brawl(?): ROTF Breacher repaint
-Laserbeak: ROTF Skystalker Repaint.
-Cliffjumper: TFPRID Cliffjumper with new head....

Too bad he will probably be shorter than most of his comrades though. Of the orginal Autobot arc crew only Optimus Prime was supposed to taller. That being said I will still jump at the chance to get a short deluxe Generations Trailbreaker.

So instead of just releasing the FE molds to US retail, they're putting new heads on them and trying to pass them off as G1 tributes?

Wtf? Prime molds as Classics/Generations? Let it not be true!

I won't accept those scouts as classics either, I will buy them though cuz they are awesome but they are not classics in my book.

The Prime Rumble/Frenzy looks really cool.

Man I hope BBTS and other online sources are planning on carrying these Asian exclusives. Some of them are 'must haves'.
