Fall of Cybertron Combaticons New Official Images

The Brawl and Swindle pics look new, but I'm not sure if the Onslaught image is the same or a new one.

For the first time ever, i'm glad the photoshop versions will be misrepresentations. I really hope the dull, flat colors that Hasbro uses will be used for these guys.

I agree that the duller more realistic colors looked best, but based on what Hasbro had on display at Toy Fair, it looks like we're getting exactly what these pictures show: an absolute clusterf*ck of neon colors.

Yea. I have my fingers crossed that those were prototypes, and when mass production hits they'll change.

Either way, still buying them.

I do hope that the Combaticons don't appear as neon on the actual toy release. But, I'll be picking them up no matter what.

I like the look of Optimus and Shockwave. They both look really accurate to the game. However, I think I'll pass on Jazz. I don't like how he has the whole car on his upper torso and nothing on his legs. He looks awful.

I could have sworn somebody at toyfair said those were not the final colours.

Regardless, even though I'd prefer a gold Blast Off, I kinda dig drug trip Vortex.

I appreciate the Energon Bruticus Maximus homage, but I'd far prefer game-accurate colors.

And I hope he/she was right. Really don't like these colors at all. Vastly prefer the game-accurate decos as seen in the GI article.

I think both color schemes are good in different ways. The Game colors are more "realish" but also duller. These Bruticus Maximus colors are brighter more interesting fun and toy-like (a good thing) but also just a tad over bright imo.

Neither of course are actual G1 colors. Which I'm ok with. But I'll be very curious if Takara does a G1 accurate deco for this guy.


Either way I can not WAIT for these toys.


-ZacWilliam, REALLY hopes we get an Autobot team (preferably earth forms) in the same general style in 2013. Aerialbots prefered, but I'd take either of the others too.

I actually like the neon colors (a G2ish vibe, though not accurate to the G2 Combaticons anyways). I wouldn't mind getting these as redecos as long as the game-accurate decos are released too.

I'd like to buy "dull" limbs, but blue+green Onslaught. Closest to G1 you can get IMHO. (there is no grey vortex, but bright red+purple just doesn't fit at all---the gold/bronze at least will look OK with the others)

I do hope they're in the first colors we saw, but either way I'll be picking them up.

The vehicle modes are posted too, plus combined and Prime, Jazz, and Shockwave.

I like the new colors for everyone but Blastoff and Vortex.

Why on earth do they keep posing so clusterfuckish?

Vortex I don't mind as much, but Blast-Off... *shudder* I think having him purple with Onslaught being blue makes the combined mode look too blue/purple. It's like the Kool-Aid man, if he were filled with grape Kool-Aid and wearing yellow and green pants.

Some things I'd like cleared up:

Swindle: Banana or lemon? or something weird like starfruit?
Vortex: Mixed berry?
Brawl: He's GOT to be sour apple because lime is lame, especially if Swindle is lemon.
Blastoff: Undoubtedly grape. Hopefully they don't go all trendy and make him Acai.
Onslaught: Blueberry seems obvious, but could possibly be huckleberry.

I never thought I'd see the day where folks rage over G1-ish colours.

Colours look alright to me, I'd love to have Blastoff in that gold deco though, fingers crossed on that.

Brawl still looks by far the best.

I think I'd better lay off the Nerds candy. It's affecting my eyesight.

Agreed (heavily), but I'd buy him regardless of what the final product looked like.

I'll buy the set and hope for the best...

brawl looks great as does blastoff, the others look either heavily mistransformed like swindle or just badly proportioned.

Onslaught is excusable as he's the center bot, but vortex's proportions are really awful, doesn't match the art at all with those tiny shoulders and oversized torso. I'll still get him, as I'm gonna complete bruticus, but he's still dissapointing.

Yeah, it's a good thing that we're not all apart of an entire website community specifically dedicated to the same toys & cartoons aimed at 5 year olds when mocking others about their praise & criticisms of toys, otherwise it might come across as being hilariously ironic and hypocritical

I will support this because I want more Hasbro combiners but I thisis the first time I anticipate a repaint.

When your done feeling high and mighty, I'd like to remind you that people writing an opinion on a fansite is not even close to the strong emotional reaction your suggesting.

No one here is running into the other room, tears in their eyes, with the intent of slitting their wrists over their complaints. They are just posting an opinion on the images being presented.

I'm thinking one color scheme will be individual release, The other will be BOX set....just a theory.

I think I like this onslaught more. Swindle looks the same, Brawl is a touch too green but Ehh, Blast off looks great but not AS great as the gold figure. Vortex still doesn't look right, and I wish we could get him in Grey/Blue

Energon decos are way better looking. If those are the final toys Hasbro shut up and take my money.

Energon Bruticus Maximus FOC Combaticons: No thank you, I'll take the more regularly colored, game accurate Combaticons instead.

Well hopefully we will get both colorations to appease everyone's palate. I mean, we are talking about the "repaint happy kings" here after all.

You know, I originally balked at the flavor-splash colors, but now I'm accepting and liking them. Does this mean that I'm tasting the rainbow?

Shockwave can live with me if he wants.

Vortex was bright red and purple in G1?

For me, Vortex and Blast-Off keep looking worse and worse. Not saying that I won't still be getting a set of these, but I may not be grabbing two sets. The other three look fantastic, but those two just look all kinds of goofy.

If you were watching it on a TV set with the color and tint levels all wonked out, sure.

Hey guys, just a thought. What if the colors on this release are meant to be a for a gift set? We've already discussed the problems with releasing a combiner individually, so maybe they're giving you 2 options?

This isn't a Bot Shot. The very fact that it leaked in GameInformer is evidence that the primary market for this is likely considered to be 10-30 yo players of Fall of Cybertron.

The two different color schemes have me all confused. I prefer the first we saw, but either are acceptable considering their price. I'm starting to also suspect that we have them both coming.

That would explain the all five in 1 wave promise.

Not to jump to conclusions so quickly, but I think Blastoff looks to be the best.

Needless to say, I am very anxious to buy all of these and maybe a few duplicates.

What i don't get is why Blast Off appears to be in Vortex's G1 colours and Vortex in god knows what.

Seriously, why couldn't they have just used a brown plastic for Blast Off so there would be no worries about GPS? They did a reissue of Bruticus in Japan a few years ago with no problems so I don't know what to think. Oh well, I'm sure Tomy will do that right and if not, I have painting ability.

I'm indifferent towards Brawl/Swindle/Onslaught, but I really like the new colors for Blast Off and Vortex. I wouldn't mind it if like they release these versions as deluxes and release the more accurate Bruticus as a gift set.
