Fall of Cybertron Bruticus Generation 2 Color Version

Thailand store Toys2mail Station has opened up a preorder for yet another, Fall of Cybertron Bruticus. This time, with a full on Generation 2 color scheme. This marks the third version of these figures along with the "game accurate" San Diego Comic Con version and the regular "Energon Colors" Hasbro Generations version.

At the beginning of May we announced a possible Amazon exclusive gift set for the Fall of Cybertron Bruticus figure. Just this past week, it was announced that Amazon will be offering a Generation 2 version of Bruticus to be used in single player mode for preordering Fall of Cybertron through their website. Could this be the upcoming Amazon exclusive gift set? Keep checking back for more info!

Wait...so are the G2 colors an Asian market exclusive or something?

If this is happening, that's very interesting and somewhat unexpected, at least this early.

I was under the impression that "Hasbro Normal" should look like the "Amazon" version and that ONLY the SDCC version will be game accurate. Has their been an update since Botcon that I'm not aware of?

Calling it now - this is DEFINITELY the Amazon set we know about, if only because Amazon is also doing the G2 Bruticus as a preorder DLC bonus.

It makes perfect sense as a tie in. "Order the game, get this DLC, AND get this DLC in toy form too!"

So let's see. Now all we need is for somebody to do Ruination.

And to me, that sounds like a job for the TCC or eHobby, at this point. Ruination could be a subscription figure or a whole Botcon set.

That's what I'm hoping too, and I was just talking about that with a friend last night before reading this. Those 2 are easily my favorite molds of the group, and I think the G2 colours look even better on Vortex than the game ones. Prolly about tied between white & gold for Blast Off, but eh. Good is good

2. There isn't a Ruination Repaint.

I highly doubt I will get the retail version.

unless SDCC has overstock and Hasbro releases it on their web store like SDCC Nemesis Prime.

With all the different colors it's making it a bit tough with finding the best mix of colors. It's like each set has a character where I really love the colors and each set has a character where the colors just don't work well for me at all.

Still to have a combiner with nice looking individual robot modes I guess I'll put up with all the color madness.

With all these versions they're making, getting a full Bruticus shouldn't be that hard.

Kinda hope you can mix and match, i.e. they aren't all boxsets. I'd love to get G2 Vortex, Energon Bruticus, and 'normal' Brawl, Blast Off, and Swindle.

Too bad that's only for North American customers.
Companies really need to realize that as the internet grows, the world gets smaller. No product should be limited to be bought through official outlets in only one country these days.

As an owner of the RotF/Fansproject Bruticus already, the G2 deco appeals to me the most BY FAR. Growing up I had G2 Blast Off and could only forlornly long for the rest of the set.

Please Amazon! Otherwise, depending on relative prices, this STILL might be the only version I get. I can't overstate how ugly the mass release one looked at BotCon.

Seeing how collectors usually don't make up a significant amount of sales of transformers toys, Hasbro is really making an effort for the collector's market recently. Especially in Asia, with this release and the impending Generations release that includes Hot Spot they seem to be catering the collector's market directly. I guess this should be a good thing.
