Thanks again to the Official Transformer’s Facebook page, we get a quick look at the production process of Combiner Wars Firefly! The image shows the progress of Firefly from the first sketches to grey prototype to the final design.
This is a follow up to Alpha Bravo which they did a couple days ago. What is interesting is that we have the same head design in the top right. Did they forget just to change the template or is there some more similarities between the two figures than meets the eye?

If they got the name Firefly back, I wonder if they can do the MLP character too…

That wouldn't surprise me if it happened, especially since Starscream seems to be leading the charge of the Combiner Wars.

As I said with the Alpha Bravo one, we don't really learn anything new from these, which is the real fun of concept art.

agreed!!

i would LOVE, and would be much more interested in seeing their restrictions..
like.. size, weight, limit of screws, amount of paint, joints.. and so on.

for the sketch phase part on alpha bravo the head and arms were like blank slates,
on this guy there complete,
i wonder if that confirms suspicions that alpha bravo will be retooled/redecoed into other characters,
change head and arms for blades, and colours
change colours for vortex, maybe the arms as well

It is awesome to see little bits of the life story of these guys in development. I hope at some point one of them hints at a Computron release someday in the future!

It is Starscream. And Skywarp and Thundercracker. From FOC.
This was already made clear in the Alpha Bravo thread.
Kataquan
Read the section under design, Its basically what he said.

Wow, that big head looks a lot like Starscream… Combiner Wars Seeker remolds, anyone?

I think these are less "design" sketches and more .. Marketing Ploy.
design sketches would be much more plentiful and with more variation.
these seem like retroactive "design" to me. just my 2c.
guess I'm glad Hasbro thinks of this though.

Bravo, you just said what everyone's been suspecting for years.
Yobuster
Looks interesting enough.

That artwork looks great

They missed a step where they send the sketches to Takara, and Takara actually designs the figure.
