In Hand Images of Generations Leader Jetfire

Posted on 07-18-2014 at 09:11 AM by ORIO under Transformers Generations Classics 3.0
Jetfire3 2005 Board member Tcracker has got his hands on the upcoming Leader Class Generations Jetfire figure and has been nice enough to share some in hand images for us. This upcoming leader class toy offers us a much taller "classics" version of the character complete with red-chromed weapons and a cool looking battle helmet/faceplate. Tcracker shows off the figure in a variety of poses as well as both modes. He also gives us a comparison with Classics deluxe Starscream.

TFW2005's Generations Voyager Roadbuster In-Hand Gallery

Posted on 07-14-2014 at 04:41 PM by Sol Fury under Generations / Classics
Roadbuster-Robot-063 For our next gallery update, we wish to share with you this gallery of Transformers Generations Roadbuster. The Wrecker made his debut in 1985 with a mold licensed from the Mugen Calibur from a series called Dorvack – now after a few redecos of other toys, he is here with his very own unique mold which pays homage to the original toy.

This new Roadbuster is a toy which is extremely fun to pick up and fiddle about with. He's got a simple transformation and a nice, striking deco, and good poseability (I found the hips a little obstructed sometimes though). For me the main draw were the six different weapons Roadbuster comes with, which can peg into different spots on both modes and each other to make new and bigger weapons. For those who like sticking up their Transformers, Roadbuster also sports a full sticker sheet, complete with a choice of Autobot or Wrecker faction stickers. He is, overall, a great addition to the Generations / Classics stable.

Generations Sky-Byte In Hand High Res Gallery

Posted on 07-10-2014 at 10:33 AM by Tony_Bacala under Generations / Classics
Generations-Sky-Byte-009 Generations Sky-Byte is officially out in the wild, dropping in Hong Kong last week and set to start trickling out to US retailers later this month. I personally couldn't do the slow torturous waiting game, not knowing if my local spots would even stock him since they're still sitting on piles of Blitzwing and Springer. It's been a good run for RID this month, first PEDX04, then our Lucky Draw Fire Convoy, and now Generations Sky-Byte. Check out over 60 HQ shots of him at his gallery link below, then discuss on the forums!

Generations Leader Jetfire Promotional Images

10419973_10152535353842726_2836238162584214655_n Some new promotional images of the Transformers Legends Leader class Jetfire have been shared with the fandom by Felipe León Nájera of Transformers Colombia. These new images show a rather happy young man playing with the upcoming Leader class Jetfire, and they give us a look at how the faceplate gimmick of the toy is going to work, as well as showing that the jet mode will sport an opening cockpit. Check out the images and see for yourself.

Generations Legends Cliffjumper and Nemesis Prime New Images

Posted on 07-02-2014 at 03:33 PM by Sol Fury under Generations / Classics
10354813_10152520073382726_653227974688213436_n Yet more images come to you via Felipe León Nájera and Transformers Colombia! This time they are sharing some images of the Generations Legends Cliffjumper and Nemesis Prime. Cliffjumper is a redeco of the earlier Legends Bumblebee and comes packed with Roller redeco Supressor, while Nemesis Prime is a bad-guy redeco of Optimus Prime and comes packed with Spinister, a purple version of Blazemaster. Packaged images of both toys are also available - and given Cliffjumper's bio suggests he thinks Supressor is a traitor, Supressor being packaged lining up a headshot on Cliffjumper probably will not aid their partnership...

Generations Windblade In-Hand

Posted on 07-02-2014 at 01:29 PM by Sol Fury under Generations / Classics
768346564_o Ebay seller lena81822 has posted some in-hand images of the Transformers Generations Windblade figure. These images show the robot mode of the latest addition to the pantheon of female Transformers slightly mistransformed in her robot mode, but they give a decent indication of what the toy is going to be like once we get it in our hands. Check out the images and see what you think.

Emiliano Santalucia's Generations Metroplex Concept Art

Posted on 06-17-2014 at 11:58 AM by StayingInTheBox under Generations / Classics
Metroplexsketch1 Wow! You have got to love seeing some behind the scenes work on Transformers. Illustrator and toy designer Emiliano Santalucia just provided a gem for us to look at. Over at Mr. Santalucia's blog we have concept drawings of Generations Titan Metroplex. He went on to provide the following detail about the drawings:

As some of you may know, I did some work on that giant sucker. But I didn't do the whole design. What I did was working with Chris Hicks on a concept to pitch the idea and work out the general shapes and features. After that, he was properly designed and engineered, but as you may notice, some spots remained faithful to what I had draw, like the chest area. As you can see also, those panels on the shoulders were supposed to open up. Hasbro kept them, but they are now part of the shoulder sculpture and don't move.
Overall, I believed I had to go for TF Prime aesthetic, I wasn't aware this was for Generations.
Oh, and yes, it's a pretty rough sketch. But many of these things starts like that!
