Thanks to the Brazilian toy site; HobbyBrinquedos, we have with us some images of upcoming Transformers Mr. Potato Head Figures.
The toys feature Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Starscream and Grimlock.
Strangely, one of the descriptions mention that these Potato Heads are for Transformers: Rescue Bots. This may have been due to a slight mistake since all the figures seem to be inspired from Generation 1.
Chaos Muffin
Am suprised how well stocked everyone is with these. No new Generations or AOE figs around, but a SHITLOAD of these things. They look nice on the pegs though, almost like a display so I dont have to display them at home. hehe
Captain
I like the idea of the dino's being in Rescue bots. I hope they are different characters as well.
That Grimlock Potato head looks very cool. Better then the Optimus Prime version

Stegosaurus Police Robot.
Because that's how things work!
…CARTOONS!
Dano71
Well, those suck. Maybe the weapons will have 5mm pegs so they can at least be of some use.

Wait!…
The brazillian website is down? Do you think TF fans overloaded their servers? D:
jaws
Yup, I'll be that 41 year old guy buying that Grimlock Tater!
kjeevahh
like this you mean? added a skull nose to bludgeon for good measure
samtastic
That police car stegosaurus is so fun!
NemiMonkey
Doesn't look like it unfortunately, it seems more of a playset for the minicons this time around.
Stego-Chase is really calling to me. He might actually be my first RB purchase.

JukeOutlander
Grar! Dinosaur Prime!
I hope that Bludgeon gets repainted as Banzaitron. Those hero mashers are awesome.
Bought.

I bought Wolverine and returned it two days later.
I did like the style and overall look. They reminded me of a cross between GI Joe Sigma Six and Xevoz. Unfortunately the quality is way down compared to Sigma Six. Cheap feeling plastic, poor accessories, sloppy paint. The articulation was spotty. It had no bicep swivel (I hate that), yet it has rocker-style ankles?. The joints were overly stiff, for example, when I try to bend his elbow, it would pop out of the socket.
I really wanted to like it. Maybe I would have been more forgiving if I bought one of the $10 versions but at $20, Wolverine had to many negatives.
nobleboivin
reading the title made me think of a bunch of cons with baseball bats and hammers.
Anyway… the figures look neat

It wouldn't surprise me if we see Star Wars and G.I.Joe Hero Mashers.

The Hero Mashers is a pretty interesting idea. For a long time customizers were seen as odd by toy companies, but taking a GI Joe figure apart and making a new character was fun for some kids. Now companies seem to be catching on to the idea of putting more creativity back into toys because kids don't always want to play the company's rules. Even Lego seems to be jumping on the more creative bandwagon with things like robot cowboys for the Lego Movie.
Throw in Hero Mashers working across different franchises and it seems like a pretty cool way for Hasbro to cross promote it's various brands.
To be honest I've find it all rather tempting because the stylized look reminds me of those larger GI Joe Sigma Six toys. I know every GI Joe fan wasn't a fan of the brand breaking out of 3 3/4", but if Heroes Mashers is even half as tough as the Sigma Six figures then parents are getting a good deal of a toy that can stand up to hard play.
If it will catch on with kids I've got no idea but I do like the creative trend instead of just playing it safe.
RodimusZero
Haha, yeah, I guess it will be one of those "final battle reveal!" type things and Hasbro/Bay will probably try to keep it under wraps until the movie's out.
Which means, just a hunch, that the leader Grimlock toy probably won't be out until late summer…
JetBrawn
I like the look of the missile launcher on Bulkhead's shoulder.
That design hasn't been seen before on a Transformer.
Looks interesting, and hope some cues carryover to actual TF figures occasionally.
(kind of tired of the whole any painted red circles = missiles thing, a la Skids shoulders or a million other 3rd party figures.)
Gryph
Actually, they're pretty much Revoltech, but geared towards kids.
thunder117
Wow, I actually like these, especially that Optimus. Maybe Grimlock if he can transform (which I doubt).
It's like Construct-bots on steroids, but with negative effects.
shock24wave
The heroes of cyber- er Action Mast- er Non transforming figures are back.
I'm sold.
