I might pick this up.
Dr. Prime
Mine arrived today from Amazon. I preordered in March or April.

Found mine today at the local Barnes and Noble.

That's really weird, I originally pre-ordered a while back but canceled and re-preordered about a month ago and mine shipped already with 2day Prime shipping, got it on the 25th. I wonder if it has to do with which warehouse supplies your location.

dotm ticket?

I've got the DK book, and I like it (which, I like Furman in general)…but I'd give this one a chance if I liked it after seeing it in person.

^Do the ticket details he mentions match up with the details on the ticket found in the Vault book? I Pre-Ordered my book but it hasn't arrived yet.

okay, i think that Willis fella of Shortpacked is alittle crazy…says his copy of the vault came with a ticket to the advanced screening of DOTM… There's just an ROTF ticket in the vault…

Just noticed – Pages 144 – 146 contain a good deal of potential spoilers for Dark of the Moon, so if you guys haven't read the novel, avoid those pages if you don't want to know even a rough idea of what DOTM is gonna have plotwise.

Anyone else get theirs yesterday? I accidently ended up with two, somehow.
Anyway, I'm impressed with the quality. Nice thick cover and pages. I've only had time to flip through just briefly. I did read the forward though, written by Cullen. It's the usual story of how his brother was the inspiration for his Optimus Prime voice.

same here…..

Starting to get a bit crabby with Amazon. I preordered on 12/4/10, and mine hasn't shipped yet.

just got mine. extremely in depth history of the creation and continuation of the franchise. littered with some cool pics of g1 memorabilia, and even some never before seen pics. There's some reall cool sketches from the movie concept art, as well as some things from hasbro's secret stash including a pic of optimus prime's story bible page (which shows an all new, unique prime design) and a pic of
.

seeing the early prototypes of Blaster and Bruticus was very cool though. I think the book does a wonderful job. It also covers every aspect of tf history, with a nice look at the Japanese stuff. Definitely made with the whole fanbase in mind, rather than the casual/new fans that I thought would be their target.

On the other hand , I do believe that due to the fact that I'm with the franchise for so long, this book is another TF goody in a series of printed TF materials. And I do agree that a commemorative box art book would be awesome.
Mine will ship at eh end of this month.

It's okay. I don't think there's anything particularly revelatory in it for those of us who've been with the franchise for a long time. It does make me wish for a book of box art, tho'.
