DJCHARTERS:
what a let down, i thought these were at least going to be universe repaints.oh well
Jarodimus:
So is Movie Mudflap called Screech in Japan?
I never got a Crosscut, so I might go for Screech. Probably won't be any less expensive, though, being a book exclusive.
Da_Razorsaw:
Okay.
Am I the only one who finds these really cool?
Terrorcon Blot:
It's a cute twin idea. When you Skid, your tires Screech.

No in Japan they are the same names as in the US version. As far as I know there is no Japanese dub of ROF here in Japan. Only the English version with Japanese subtitles which has their regular names in Katakana.
Nemesis_Dirge:
fucking A+ fail!
Lbsammills51:
I don't intend to get them, but I actually like the paint jobs.
BigRC83:
I really like them but I will not fork out the cash for them.
Peaugh:
Oh, all over those.
wolfe:
I like em. Just not sure if i want to spend the $$ they may cost.
Bgrngod:
Er... huh?
Definitely a strange left turn after having two pretty cool figures attached to the other two volumes.
They probably would have had to pay Michael Bay to use the name Mudflap. Since this is a Takara release, and not a Hasbro release, it makes sense they'd need to change the name of one.
Feralstorm:
No prizes for guessing where they were going with those repaints.
so... no gold tooth?
Silent_Magnus:
Skids my boy, you're looking a bit like Hound.

that was what popped into my head when I first seen these.
I think its awesome that they dug up the crosscut parts but I gotta say I want the originals more
FreshDebesh:
I just want the Generations Vol.3 book.
Aberration:
Not planning to get these, but I do think that "reverse homages" are awesome
GAUGE0001:
These are just plain PATHETIC
Nightrain:
Skids looks like Ratchet if anything.

Uh, no. I saw the Japanese dub last week.
Bass X0:
Just be thankful the heads weren't remolded to be accurate to their movie counterparts.
frilly toothpick:
i wonder how much these will cost.

Superquad7:
Poor G1 Skids . . . .
Hiro Prime:
I love it!
Anytime they repaint these old molds is another opportunity to add more robots to my G1 shelves. And strangely enough, the differences between the two work very well for the homages they're suppose to represent.
I say bring on a Silver Sideswipe and a Silver Jazz. Hell, I'd take a Black and White 280Z as Barricade too.
MegaHavok:
whats with the suprise? This is no different then what they did with ironhide and ratchet in 07

Paxtin:
That's funny. I was just doing a digibash of rotf Skids in a G1 deco, and here is G1 Skids in rotf deco.
Another funny thing is this kinda shows how rotf Mudflap's design was actually closer to G1 Skids then rotf Skids was.
BB Shockwave:
They have not included the small roller-cycle? FAIL.
I'm not really into G1 repaints anyway... They just smell fanfic-char-like to me.
Skywave:
That's kinda cool to me! Depending on price, I might consider them
VE Telus:
We knew they were coming, but I never would've thought that Screech would be Mudflap. More for the G1 shelves is a good thing.
I want G1 Optimus in his movie deco now.

LIKEWISE reverse homages are sweet! I hope we see more

Yeah. He doesn't look that great either. I was more commenting on the fact that Skids seems to continually get the shaft as a character.

Yeah, they should have came with the motorcycles.
As far as "fanfic char"[acters], what's wrong with them? For me, . . . .

. . . as long as they're done well, I'm down with it. It's a case-by-case basis thing, for me.
Lupis Convoy:
Yeah, no. Pass on this one. Not a fan of the twins to begin with, and since they aren't classics molds, not worth the extra expense for me right now.
Robogeek28:
Well those 2 are....interesting.
DELTAsnake:
I don't like the G1 Skids mold at all. I'll pass on these.
SydneyY:
I have no interest in the characters themselves, but I loved Honda City in the 80's, so I'll be picking them up. This Skids will look good with Kremchet
Also, the featured article "Collection Maniacs" in this issue is about Minicons (over 400 variety).
Autobot Burnout:
Wow, I can not say I was expecting the Mudflap-colored one.
However, I'll be passing on this set, Reversed homages aren't really my cup of tea. I'll probably be happier spending money on the HA Skids and Mudflap.

Acutually, that would have made them a lot more attractive, IMO.
Dinobot Swoop:
Nice idea. Weird coloring, tho'. But it does kinda grow on you.
Renidragon:
I always wanted to get a G1 Skids... I like the green version. orange version is a little too strong for me.
PoweredConvoy:
Nice! I knew we were getting the green Skids (because Takara showed Encore Skids at the Tokyo Toy Show with a green and gray launcher) but I didn't know about the rust colored Crosscut. Too bad they didn't call him Mudflap.
Randy
Chris McFeely:
How... inexplicable.
Sunstreaker:
They're a hell of a lot better than the Baybortions we got. These are a win for me.
SPLIT LIP:
At first I wondered why they put those colours on those moulds when they really don't work.
Then I got the Skids/Mudflap deal.
Now I'm wondering why they put those colours on those moulds when they really don't work.
shroobmaster:
So Skids and Mudflap are technically G1 Homages now?
Bass X0:
Screech is almost identical to Skids' original Diaclone release.
