And the general understanding is that the toys are done, and have been done. The delay is with the packaging.

Bagged? Weird. Maybe they'll be offering a bagged version? I know G.B. Blackrock will be thrilled if that's the case.

Since the hold-up is with the packaging, bagged is probably just their current state. Although is would be nice to not have to pay for the box, if they were going to offer a bagged version, they probably would have done it already. The club expects them to ship "sometime this summer", by the way.

Nah. I doubt (could definitely be wrong) that the factory that makes the toys an the factory that makes the packaging are the same. I assumed either the packaging factory puts the toys in the foam, or FP does it themselves stateside.

So, my guess is they were just stolen from the factory that way - and that all of them came bagged out of the factory.

Yeah, I wonder if this auction will end prematurely.

Hey, the main auction photo was taken at BotCon. You can tell from the background.

hmmm - even though the colours look horific, I find myself insanely attracted to them.

For what it's worth, I picked up a complete G1 version at BotCon. That toy is immensely fun. With most (or all?) of the limbs being targetmasters, some of them have two guns that combine to make one gun, and other neat things, it's really a great piece.

Well, it being front paged made it alot easier for me to send the link to Brian.

Yeah, you tell him! I love it when people keeping buying stolen toys from small exclusive runs, thereby driving up the cost of the end product the rest of us! Hooray!

From my understanding, the packaging and the toys are made in different locations, and both shipped to FP. The staff then takes the toys out of the bags, inserts them in the foam packaging, and off they go.

Good job....since someone's already took the time to report the auction I won't have to mess with it.

Wow...nice. Hopefully someday something of value to you will be stolen and put up on eBay. That would probably change your mind.

Ah. I figured something like that might be the case, but hadn't heard anything about it previously. Still, wish we could at least order these, so I'd know I have mine on the way!

While I was rather intrigued by that, my understanding is that ALL TFs are sent to FP this way. FP actually has to pull them OUT of the baggies to put them in the specially-crafted boxes they make (another expense to consider? This one for labor?).

what i love about Brian is he actually takes the time to reply to your emails. everytime i email him i get a reply within 4-5 hours

Pete too. I sent him an email about possibly getting the G2 Stunticons as exclusives last night and I woke up this morning and he had already emailed me back. I wasn't even expecting a reply, just trying to put in the suggestion. They're great guys over at the club.

Yeah, a club G2 menasor wouldn't ruin the value of TF2's too much. It's still a one of a kind (or near to it) piece.

Indeed I am since it would be cool to get it as a Club Exclusive and allow other people to have a chance at it as well which makes me feel really good.

That's a good point there, I enjoy the rarity history of G2 MM that I do have along with Club G2 Menasor....works for me.

So to all the people that are so quick to want to report this guy to eBay, or the Club, or whatever, what makes you so sure this is something stolen? Did the club order and pay for 2,000 pieces and only received 1,999 or whatever, or is this something extra run off in the factory? If you don't actually know the facts, and unless you're in the Club you probably don't, it seems some people are being quick to jump to conclusions, and make possibly false accusations, all with absolutely no proof.

I'm not saying what is going on here is okay, although it might even be, depending on what is actually happening. I'm just playing Devil's Advocate.

Before BotCon, when all those toys were popping up on eBay, Brian told us that all that stuff definitely WAS stolen, and that it was toys FP ends up not getting.

So, yes, we do have proof.

Quite frankly, I'm not sure I believe that. (and someone saying something is not proof!) I understand from a business standpoint you have to do some posturing, anything to get the masses to help you out. But I honestly do not believe that FP received less than what they ordered. That would require the factory to return money on the contract, and when the bottom line is being affected like that, there would be a crackdown on this happening. Seeing as this is happening consistently, across numerous toy lines and for years and years, there is no majore crackdown going on. And China knows how to crackdown!

Regardless, I do prefer to purchase my stuff from the Club, even if it requires me to pay inflated prices due to flashy but nice packaging. And I've never been so impatient to buy from the "Chinese midnight runs" just to have something a few weeks early.
